Another pair of Aigle boots splitting

Aigle wellington boots split between heel and upper. Complained to Aigle and they have done nothing as out of warranty by a few months. However, you expect a premium brand boot to last a bit longer than two years. UPDATE received a response from Aigle which was more useful than their original email but still not resolved. Trustpilot response link did not work so back to square one.

Date of experience: October 10, 2022

Never received the item I purchased! horrible!

I ordered from aigle. com 3 months ago and never recieved the item, I contacted Aigle's costumer service and they confirmed they sent the item with not the full address I had provided, they have shipped the item with an address that does not include the street name and number! I mean how could they just ship an item with only the city and country and postal code? It has been 3 months since I have not recieved the product nor a refund on it since reporting the issue! this is the worst I have ever had purchasing anything from a legitimate official website! absolutely horrible experience! This is scary of such a brand! unacceptable!

Sizing way out

I wish I had read the sizing reviews on here before purchasing some boots. I love the Darven Brogue and ordered them in my usual size 37 however the sizing is way out, they are enormous. I now have to pay £10 to send them back and although I would love to try them in a 36 but I am reluctant to risk getting them and having to pay to return again.
Following this review Aigle promptly contacted me to help...can’t ask for better customer service than that

Positive experience

Despite so many negative reviews my experience has been excellent. I ordered a coat - was kept informed of my order. Sadly the coat did not fit/suit me - it was beautiful & the quality seemed to be excellent. I found the return process to be straightforward and have had a refund processed. It took a couple of weeks. I’d order again if I liked a product just sadly this one wasn’t for me.

Purchased some Aigle wellington boots…

Purchased some Aigle wellington boots about 18 months ago and the heel has split from the boot causing mud and water to seep through when walking. I was surprised as I understood this to be a quality product and they are certainly not cheap but clearly not fit for purpose.

I have re-visited my review as I found post sales to be very helpful with the issue I had raised.

Aigle coat surprise!

I ordered and tried an Aigle coat that didn't fit, so I sent it back. The next day, I could not find my keys and despite searching everywhere, they remained lost. A few days later a call from Aigle: My keys had been found in the coat that I returned! In no time, Aigle sent them back to me. Great service, thanks Aigle!!!

Very Poor Customer Service

Love my coats - what a pity that I can't seem to get my refund for the coats that were too big.
Despite confirmation email - no sign of the refund on my credit card.
No one takes your calls at the enquiry line - you simply get kicked off after waiting ages.
No one replies to your emails.
Customer service is very poor!

Is there a 0 stars option?

It baffles me how this company is still allowed to sell online.
The coat I purchased was never delivered (I suspect it was never shipped) and getting refunded was a nightmare.
Their customer support is often unavailable and quite unreliable.
I can’t speak for the products (I never got them LOL), but I wish I had read their reviews here before. Never again I’m shopping at their website, and I highly recommend you do the same.

Awful returns policy

I ordered a pair of walking shoes for them and when they arrived they were too small so I clicked to rerun them. I then learnt it’s between £10-25 to return them. I contacted them to complain about this and ask if they could pay half and they said they are in France so the customer has to pay the return fee. I will not be ordering from them again!

Pathetic experience

Pathetic experience, I ordered a very expensive coat from them and it looks nothing like an expensive item. I have to return this and now they are charging me £10 for economic return and over £22 for express return. Is this a joke?? When i checked online before buying it said they offer free returns. Never buying from this pathetic brand again

Edit: i received a refund from aigle for the return cost which is really kind of them. However, i have not been able to return my parcel yet. It is a very pain taking process, none of the ways to returns the parcel is working, it is a fairly big package but collection of the parcel is not possible, i brought the package to the nearest DHL service point and the return lable did not work either. I have been contacting the customer service but no response from them. Please if someone from aigle reads this arrange a collection for me.

Poor quality product, can’t return them to Uk

Ordered what I thought was a good pair of boots in their sale when they arrived they where a poor fit.
Called Aigle who said they would only except faulty returns for a refund AND the return is at the customers own cost (£45 France)
There is nothing stating this on their website and all they kept saying is sorry.
Poor quality product being sold as a premium quality. Buyers beware do not loose your money purchasing from these pirates.

Aigle Wellies

I am saddened to see poor experiences of an Aigle welly when mine have been so good. Yes, they were expensive but as I live in an area where getting snowed in is not unusual and as I was pregnant at the time of purchase the shopkeeper strongly recommended these to stop me slipping on the hills. The baby is now twenty-six years old, the wellies are still going strong with the distinct possibility that they will be mentioned in my will! Maybe that is why the quality has changed, there is no money to be made if you can inherit a serviceable pair of wellies!

Ordered some gardening boots on line then saw the reviews about long delays and incorrect orders - however I needn’t have been concerned as the boots arrived in good time, in fact quicker than expected. The boots are well made and are an excellent fit. I have had a very good experience from this company and have no complaints.

Aigle Venise Boots - Colour comes off

Aigle Venise Botillion Womens Wellington Boots:

Purchased these boots which have a beautiful colour but be warned, the colour comes off quite easily to reveal a white rubber underside because these boots have an unstable cosmetic colour coating not appropriate for Wellinton Boots and not fit for purpose. After wearing only once we noticed scuffs and marks which look awful. Aigle customer care said they are unable to advise or help us. Great! We have 5 pairs of Aigle Boots and shoes and never had any problems like this. Thanks Aigle, you can no longer count on our loyalty - very disappointing.

I wish I’d never wasted my money on…

I wish I’d never wasted my money on Aigle wellies. The main reason for my purchase was to keep my feet warm and dry in wet weather. While they are certainly comfortable and warm, both boots developed a leak at the point the upper joins the sole at the heel after just a few months of wear. The boots were cared for properly and only used for dog walking so I’m very disappointed that this happened with such an expensive pair of boots and will not be purchasing anything from this brand again.

Great product but NEVER buy direct from Aigle

I ordered a pair of clogs from Aigle. Despatched the next day. They were shipped with Hermes not DHL. Hermes claimed to have delivered - which they hadn't. As a purchaser I couldn't contact Hermes, had to go through Aigle. They did nothing. A month later and 5 emails to them I have just raised a Paypal dispute. Watch this space.
The clogs are a great product BTW, this would have been a second pair, but NEVER buy direct from Aigle.

After researching a lot of boots for farming I ordered both Aigle Aiglentine & LeChameau Country LD. I'm keeping the Aiglentine. Rubber: The rubber on the Aigle is softer & stretchy, which is more comfortable on my feet. They do flop a bit on my calves when I walk, but not to an annoying extent. It's not thin, these are just the qualities of natural rubber, and I actually appreciate that they seem like a natural product and not plastic. The LeChameau rubber is likely a bit tougher if you hit barbed wire, but it's stiff enough that when I crouch down it digs into my ankles. Lining: The Aigle lining is a thick smooth wetsuit-type material which seems sturdy and makes them very easy to pull on/off. I think it will be fine if it gets wet. The LeChameau lining is a thin woven cotton/poly that was already beginning to pill just from trying them on, and created friction when pulling on/off...I can't imagine will hold up with use. Tread: The lug tread on the LeChameau is a bit heftier than the Aigle, but the tread material on the Aigle feels sturdier and seems like it will wear more slowly. Fit: The calf-cinch on the Aigle is helpfully adjustable while the LeChameau is just decorative and not functional. Manufacture: Finally, the Aigle are proudly stamped "made in France" while the hangtag on the LeChameau says "made in Morocco." Size: Size-wise the Aigle size 40 seems the equivalent of LeChameau 41. The Aigle is very slightly narrow but the rubber is so stretchy that it's perfectly comfortable, and I don't think the stretch is putting any strain on the construction. If you want to add arch supports or go wider, I'd order a size up on the Aigle.

I am currently on the hunt for a new pair of rain boots. These Aigles are beautiful - top quality, stylish (for rain boots). The sole seems very comfortable for walking distances. However, the shaft of these boots is just too tall for me (I am 5'2") and cuts into my upper leg when I sit. I am so sad! If you are taller, these boots should be just fine. As for me, I am going to head over to the kid's Aigle section and hope they have something there of the same beautiful quality with a shorter shaft.

I LOVE these boots! I am a birder and am constantly tromping through marshes, fields and wet woods--especially this year. We've had the wettest spring and summer I can remember. I suffered through 2 years wearing some insulated boots I got at a hunting supplier. The women's boots only came mid-calf (Why?), they were very heavy, only came in camo, and started cracking after only a year of limited use. I decided to look further. The Aigles caught my eye immediately for their full-shaft length, trim lines and large assortment of beautiful colors. My legs are trim from running, and I hate boots that fit too wide and floppy around my calves. When the boots arrived, I could not believe how perfect they were. I wear a Euro 37 and my feet slipped in like a whisper. I can wear them with or without socks and they remain secure and comfortable at all times. They fit close to my calves for the look I prefer, but they still fit over straight-cut jeans. They are unbelievably soft and supple, but have shown no signs of wear or cracking--even though I have worn them almost daily under rugged conditions for almost 7 months. I bought the purple and have received many compliments. Yes, they're expensive, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for!

I love these boots. The materials and construction are top end. They're very comfortable and look amazing. One negative: I wore them with a pair of leggings and short socks on a warmer day and boy were they hot. I also own a pair of Hunters and these are sturdier, and absolutely no comparison to a pair of Steve Madden rain boots that I had - so much better.

I waited 2½ years before leaving my feedback for these boots to make sure they held up the way I hoped they would, and they did. I am an organic farmer and I typically go through rubber boots every four months. I knew that I needed to spend more money and get a pair of boots that would not split on me mid season every year. After doing extensive research I decided to go with the Aigles and I am so glad I did. These boots look and feel brand new after 2½ years of wear and tear. Well worth the price. They are stylish and functional.

These boots look and feel great. I'm upset that I have to return them because they are really big on me. I wear a 4.5 in Naturalizer and ordered the 35 (US 4.5 to 5) and these boots just fall of off me. The quality and feel of the rubber is great! There is one thing that bothered me, the company uses plastic tag that goes through the boot and puts a hole in the boot, to affix the price tag. If I pay this much for a pair of shoes, I wouldn't want any holes, no matter the size or location of the hole. The hole is tiny and towards the top of one boot. Maybe I'm just being too picky, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I love these boots! They are stylish and practical. I was hesitant to buy them because they are so pricey, but after reading reviews for similar boots in different brands I thought this was the safer bet. I'm not sorry I chose these! So far I've worn them while doing some muddy gardening and shopping in the rain. I can easily fit a fleece sock in them so I plan to wear them in the snow too. I wear a 7 1/2 and got the 38 and I think they fit perfectly.

I got these Aigle Aiglentine rubber boots in a size 40. I was looking for a vegan rubber boot and this is it. I called the Aigle customer service and spoke to Olivier who assured me this boot was vegan, that the vulcanization process did not involve the use of animal products. I like the fit and the style of these boots, classic and simple. I was drawn to this color and it is a true purple. The size was right as I wear a size 9 and tend to like size 9.5 for comfort, this boot fits both and doesn't feel big. The sole support is great, and it keeps the rain out. I have worn it with leggings and pants. I highly recommend these boots.

This is my first pair of rain boots. Some people say the size is a little bit large. I usually wear 8, so I got 8 for this as well. It fits really well. It will not be too small or tight even if I wear a pair of thick socks. It's comfortable. I wanted to get Hunter before I think of AIGLE boots. People say AIGLE boots are softer than Hunter and that's why I get this. This pair is really good.

Perfect boot to splash through puddles, stay dry in southern downpours, and walk in the muck. Stylish shape, lovely olive color, and comfortable for wider feet. I am a size 41-42 with a 15" calf and the 41 fit perfect; leggings, jeans and thick socks all fit in the boot just fine. All over a dependable, well made, and classic rain boot.

I normally wear size 6. 5 or 7, so I ordered the 37 since some reviews say it runs narrow. Not the case for me. These are way too wide for me around the ankle, which they literally falls off as soon as I lift my foot off the ground. So I tried to exchange for a 36 and the footbed was too small but the ankle area was still very very loose for me. So sad - love the Eggplant color but these are just not for me.

Wanted to love and keep, but way to roomy inside. I have a medium width foot and even with thick socks my foot slid around inside. Just wouldn't be comfortable for longer walks - and for the money they need to be perfect. Very cute and well made, but not for me.

I have to agree with a previous user, I'm not sure how most people would be able to put pants/jeans into these boots. Skinny jeans tucked into boots is a style I wear frequently and don't usually have trouble but this calf is so slim that it was difficult to tuck pants into them. I like it otherwise (it is pretty tall) but I have to return it since I would really only have one pair of pants I could wear it with.

Way too narrow for my calves. And I consider myself to have average sized calves. Super cute, and well made boot though.

I was looking for a high quality rubber boot that would be lighter than my Muck boots for daily walking and chores. Unfortunately the Aigle's are wide and sloppy on me. I tried two sizes, but neither was right for me. They are well made boots, just not something I could wear comfortably for walking or chores in the wet weather.

I have wide calves, so I was excited to get a boot with adjustable width. Sadly, even after taking out the buckle, the top of the boot was way too tight while the ankle and foot have far too much room. Good quality though. It seems to be built really well. Sadly, they have to go back.

Aigle rubber boots. Brief review of models. | Reviews

If you still opted for natural rubber boots, then you “have a place to roam” - the best boots are Aigle, Hallyard, LeChameau and LaCrosse. The undoubted leader in this list for more than 150 years is the company Aigle, which produces shoes in the middle price segment, as well as expensive high-end boots.

Affordable rubber

Mid-priced boots include Aigle Benyl (Aigle Benyl Mollet Standard), Aigle Benyl XL (Aigle Benyl Mollet Large) and Aigle Parcours and Parcours 2 (second generation). What are the features of these models?

Aigle Benyl and Benyl XL

Aigle Benyl and Benyl XL, like most models of this company, have a self-cleaning sole that is resistant to abrasion and a shock-absorbing Softex insole. The boot shaft in the upper part is regulated by a special strap that allows you to wear boots both with pants tucked into them and with “outlet” pants, and in the XL model, the diameter of its girth is also increased. The sole of this model was provided with reinforced ribs for additional grip when walking. Also, the insoles and linings of these boots are impregnated with a special substance that prevents the formation of fungus and mold. The upper part of the boot is made of natural rubber with special additives (Gomma Plus) that make the material more durable.

Aigle Parcours and Parcours 2

Aigle Parcours and Parcours 2 are made of rubber with additives (Gomma Plus), lined and shock-absorbing insole with special antibacterial impregnation, self-cleaning sole and light weight. The second generation models feature a new tread pattern, logo design and the latest cushioning system in the outsole.

Aigle Premium Models

Also in the Aigle line can be found more expensive models, such as Aigle Parcours ISO Open, Aigle Parcours ISO and Aigle Parcours ISO 2. These models are distinguished by the presence of neoprene lining - a material used in the production of diving suits used at low water temperatures, so they can be used in winter. In the production of these models, Gomma Plus and Actigrip technologies are used.

The second generation models feature a tread pattern, logos in the design and a cushioned outsole. Aigle Parcours ISO and Aigle Parcours ISO 2 have a special closure and a waterproof side panel for easy on and off of the boot, while the Parcours ISO Open uses a zipper instead of a closure.

Aigle winter boots and waders

If you need winter boots, you should consider options with neoprene insulation or thermotech material. For example, the Aigle Parcours Ice Plus, they are also made of Gomma Plus material and have an Actigrip sole. The lining is made of a special Thermotech material - a quick-drying polyester-based material similar in properties to natural sheep's wool, and impregnated with Sanitized to protect against various fungi and mold.

Another "winter" option is the Aigle Bison ISO, which is made in the form of ankle boots, also lined with neoprene and made with Gomma Plus technology. They have a self-cleaning serrated sole and a 1.5 cm heel. Made using various technologies in the production of materials:

Both models are hip-high, but the upper part of the boot is made thinner, which, together with removable straps and buttons at the top of the boot, allows you to adjust the height to the preference of each buyer and reduces the weight of the shoe.

These models are distinguished by the neoprene lining in Parcours Stream ISO, which makes them suitable for use in frosty weather.

Our opinions and references

The best winter boots are Parcours ISO Open. They are insulated with neoprene, due to which they will be worn comfortably both at -10 and at +15. They have special insoles and a shock-absorbing sole, as well as a waterproof insert that expands the top of the boot for ease of dressing and a zipper for fixation.

Aigle Benyl XL is the best budget model. Maybe not very budget but definitely the most affordable. It has a special shock-absorbing sole, the lining and the insole are impregnated with a substance that prevents the formation of fungus and mold. The optimal length is up to the knee and the extended shaft of the boot increases ease of use.

And as the pinnacle of boot craftsmanship, we consider the Parcours ISO 2 (Second Generation) top quality model if you're considering regular boots, or the Parcours Stream ISO if you're into wading. Both models are insulated with neoprene, which allows you to wear in sub-zero temperatures. In the production, all the latest developments and the latest technologies of the company were used. Gomma Plus is a natural rubber with additives that make the material more resistant to solvents, but at the same time soft and pleasant to the touch, similar to natural leather. Softex is an insole made of a quick-drying porous material. Sanitized - antifungal impregnation against mold and unpleasant odors. Actigrip is the latest shock absorber outsole.
