8 Best Hand Mixers for 2022
We updated this story in August 2022 to ensure all picks tested and vetted by the Good Housekeeping Institute Kitchen Appliances and Innovation Lab were available, in stock and correctly priced.
Less expensive and more compact than a stand mixer, a handheld electric mixer is just the thing for whipping up an easy baking recipe or your favorite holiday dessert. A hand mixer is an important tool for any home cook or baker because it will whip, blend and mix a variety of foods — everything from mashed potatoes to buttercream frosting to egg whites.
While an immersion blender, food processor and blender can perform similar tasks to a hand mixer, like whipping eggs or emulsifying a dressing, there are still plenty of tasks that a hand mixer does best. Beating up light and fluffy frosting is just the beginning of what you can do with this tool. With a hand mixer, you can whip heavy cream and coconut milk into a fluffy coconut whipped cream to top coconut cream pie, create glossy soft peaks of egg whites for rainbow meringue sandwiches or cream butter and sugar for pumpkin spice cupcake batter.

How we test hand mixers
During our most recent test in the Good Housekeeping Institute Kitchen Appliances and Culinary Innovation Lab, we tested 22 hand mixers in the Lab and at home. We mixed oatmeal cookie dough, beat yellow cake mix, kneaded white bread and whipped up egg whites and heavy cream. We assessed overall quality, variety of speeds, the ease of attaching the beaters, the comfort of holding hand mixers, the ease of using the controls and the cleanability.
We also consulted online reviews to see which hand mixers consumers were loving or having difficulties with. When making our picks, we also considered how intuitive each model was to use, as well as ergonomics and any useful features or included attachments.
What to consider when shopping for a hand mixer
✔️Comfort: A heavy hand mixer can tire your hand quickly. Look for lighter hand mixers with a comfortable grip if you intend on hand mixing a lot of recipes. We suggest going to a store to try lifting and holding the hand mixers on display, if possible. We recommend lightweight models like KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer or Cuisinart Power Advantage Plus 9-Speed Handheld Mixer.
✔️Accessories: All hand mixers come with detachable beaters, but only some hand mixers include with detachable whisks, dough hooks or even an immersion blender attachment. While additional attachments may make a model more expensive, they will give your hand mixer additional uses. It's also helpful to look for a hand mixer that comes with a storage container to house all the accessories so that you don’t lose any of the attachments between uses.
✔️Cord vs cordless: If you don’t have easy access to outlets in your kitchen, you may want to consider a cordless hand mixer. While you do have to remember to charge it regularly, a cordless model (or a swivel-cord model) allows ease of use by both right-handed and left-handed people.

Description Tupperware Chef Hand Mixer
Height 26. 2
Top diameter 18.9 cm.
Bottom diameter 14.4 cm.
Includes: clear cylindrical base, top cover cap, swivel handle, three whisks.
Description:
Chef's Mixer is a unique Tupperware invention. Now, in order to prepare the dough, beat or just mix the ingredients, you don’t need a lot of time and you don’t need an electrical outlet at all.
Since the mixer does not have an electric motor, it is quieter and more efficient. You don't need to be super strong to use it, everything is very simple and affordable! While holding the base of the container with one hand, turn the comfort handle in a circle with the other hand until you get the desired consistency of the products to be mixed.
It does not take much time to prepare the mixer for work, and it is also quite easy to disassemble.
The bowl is made of transparent red plastic with markings from 50 ml, for more precise filling of products. A transparent design allows you to control the cooking process without looking inside.
Inside, the base is denser than the walls of the container, which makes the bowl stronger and more durable.
In order to prevent the mixer from slipping during operation, the set includes a special anti-slip ring on which the device itself is mounted.
In order to add oil, vinegar or other liquids, it is not necessary to unscrew the lid, it is enough to attach a handle with a built-in funnel to it, especially for this case.
The materials that were used in the manufacture of the mixer are resistant to cold, so you can safely cool or store cooked dishes in the refrigerator.
Suggested Use:
- Chef's Mixer, ideal for making pancake batter, turns egg whites into a fluffy mixture almost instantly. Mixing any ingredients with Chef's Mixer is easy and convenient.
- After preparation, it is enough to rinse all parts in warm water and wipe, and the device is ready for further use. Also, the device is suitable for washing in a dishwasher, except for one part - a rim with rubberized walls.
- Keep the mixer dry and clean.

I have been looking at this mixer for a long time, because I like to bake all kinds of cakes for my family. To be honest, I didn’t really believe in the miracles that the manufacturer says about him. But curiosity overpowered)) I waited for the stock and bought it.
