Laundry design to help you love laundry

Modern laundry room design with custom table and yellow cabinets

All the rooms in your house are already decorated the way you like it, but the laundry room design doesn't seem right? If you use this room often, you most likely want it to be as beautiful as the rest of the rooms in the house. You're sure to fall in love with laundry if you follow our laundry room decorating tips.

    1. Keep it Warm

    Cozy Country Laundry Room

Why not give your laundry room a makeover with a few items no one expects to see in this room? Treat its design with the same scrupulousness as the design of living spaces in your home. Liven up the interior with bright colors. The zesty hues will make your laundry room look more interesting than you might imagine.

    2. Wallpaper

    Psychedelic modern laundry room

If you decorate at least one of the walls of this small room with an interesting print, it will be transformed so that you cannot recognize it. Choose something extremely bold and bright. Since laundries are usually isolated from other rooms, their interiors can become a field for experimentation and implementation of any ideas.

    3. Give it a touch of character

    Traditional laundry room

Go beyond the box and decorate the laundry room in darker than usual shades, thereby adding chic to its interior. The more contrast the colors are, the more you will want to show such a room to your friends.

    4. Add Curtains

A Traditional Laundry Room That Uplifts the Mood

Even if your laundry room doesn't have a window to decorate with curtains, there's likely to be some kind of open shelf where a textile decor would be appropriate. Use the same techniques that are usually used in living rooms. In this way, you will demonstrate that the laundry room is just as important to you as other rooms. By opting for curtains of a bright shade, you will achieve the best result.

    5. Matches the rest of the rooms

Traditional laundry room with minimalist touches

If the interiors of the living rooms in your home are simple and open, then the laundry room should follow the same style. Similar features will help you visually combine spaces for different purposes. It’s easier, of course, to plan the design of residential and utility rooms in advance, but nothing prevents you from finalizing the laundry room later.

    6. Gender matters

Bring some Wonderland magic into your interior with checkerboard flooring

It's not that expensive to upgrade your flooring in a small room. In such a narrow space, little can be big. If you have long noticed a tile with an interesting ornament that you cannot afford because of the high price, make your dream come true in the laundry room!

    7. Paint the cabinets

Add some subtle colors to the interior to make it more homey and relaxed

A coat of paint on cabinets can make a big difference. In addition, this is a very simple way to update the interior without making structural changes to it.

    8. Put in the Colored Machines

Bright Red Appliances Liven up the Laundry

You may not have understood the people who buy colored washers and dryers. But maybe they know something that you don't? Namely, they understand that this is the easiest way to dilute a boring and monotonous interior.

    9. Festive decorations

All rooms in the house deserve festive decorations

On holidays, when the whole house is transformed and becomes more elegant, this room should not be overlooked. Find a way to decorate your laundry room. During the holidays, you will also have to do laundry, and interesting decor will make this activity not boring.

    10. It's the little things that matter

An unusual door can transform an entire interior

A Dutch door and natural light make this laundry room a dream space. Pay attention to every element of the interior, and let it become special. And then household chores will give you pleasure!

Tips and design ideas always come to the rescue when you need to create an interesting look, so it's not worth the pain of looking for a solution alone. Let every room in your house become an abode of comfort, because your house is your fortress, isn't it?

the most interesting and bright solutions

Bright and fresh laundry room design

A well-designed laundry room creates a positive mood and makes doing household chores much more enjoyable. Below are the relevant rooms, which are characterized by high functionality and impeccable style.

Although not very large, this laundry room has a long worktop that provides plenty of useful workspace for folding and sorting laundry. You will definitely like the walls in a light pastel shade, as well as a very well-placed window.

Due to its functionality, this room has the honor of being photographed for our article. Work surfaces located at different heights allow more efficient use of space. The bar, placed directly above the sink, allows you to dry items from delicate fabrics that are not intended for machine drying.

The combination of white wooden furniture and black appliances makes this laundry room almost glamorous. Many people like the glossy finish of the washer and dryer, as well as the very convenient division of the room into an entrance hall and a laundry room.

Silver gray furniture is the highlight of this very modern laundry room. The white countertop made of artificial stone was chosen by the authors of the project because of its durability and unpretentiousness. It is interesting that the design of the appliances supports the range of decor.

The need to store an ironing board somewhere always confuses the owners of the house. But in this case, the designers offered an excellent option by hiding the above device in a hanging cabinet and placing a window in front of it.

The use of gray slate tiles in the interior of the laundry room can be called a rather bold design decision. But more importantly, it is a very strong and durable coating. A mosaic apron made of glass tiles has become another very interesting nuance that brought a textured variety to the decor.

Although it is a small laundry room, many cute details like wicker baskets and glass containers make it very cozy. Although the stainless steel shelving and lighting combined with the simple sink gives the interior a somewhat industrial feel.

This is a very unusual laundry room design. Gray wooden furniture combined with orange lamps and cute wallpaper, as well as convenient shelves and racks for storing various things, make this laundry room not only beautiful, but also very functional.

This is a very good solution in cases where it is not possible to allocate a separate room for the laundry. The location of the washing machine and dryer on top of each other saves space, and the warm sandy color of the walls makes the room very elegant.

This is one of the best laundry designs in our opinion. The bright turquoise color evokes thoughts of the sea, and a charming chandelier with pendants adds a little mischief to the interior.

Even if the walls are dark, white appliances and countertops balance the interior and make it very thoughtful and stylish.

Once again, stacking the washer and dryer on top of the other saves a lot of space. So they fit even the hallway.

Hidden in a closet, the ironing board takes up little space and does not disturb the harmony of the interior. This solution allows you to maintain order not only in the laundry room, but also in the living rooms, since in this case the washed linen will not wait for its turn to be ironed somewhere on the sofa. Which is especially true if your house or apartment is modest in size.

In this interior, the ironing board is hidden in a more complex, but no less interesting way. And rustic-style furniture fills the space with comfort.

Although the interior design of this laundry room is quite simple at first glance, it is not without zest. Hanging shelves for storing various things, chrome rails for drying clothes and a metal table top make the space light and very functional.

Natural light gives the room a very special look. And the blue metallic color of the technology refreshes the simple design of the furniture and the modest color scheme.

Built-in wardrobe and unusual wallpaper with birds make this interior very positive and light. A small window improves the light in the room.

If the laundry room is connected to such an important area as a hallway, it is worth considering choosing a hard-wearing floor covering. Slate tiles are perfect for this purpose.
