20 Beautiful Paint Colors for Kitchen Cabinets {2021 Trends}

Don’t be afraid of bringing color to your kitchen! Especially since it is the center of the home. Cabinets don’t always have to be white or some other neutral color.

Painting your cabinets can truly make them stand out while adding a burst of energy to the space. I know it can be hard to imagine the finished product, so today I’m sharing pictures of painted kitchen cabinet ideas to help you visualize it!

Best Kitchen Cabinet Color Combinations

With all these color ideas for painting kitchen cabinets, I’ve included a full list for you with plenty of photos to show you what it will look like. Kitchen cabinet color trends have come a long way from being very monochromatic. People are embracing bolder colors that make a statement. So which color trend will you go with? Let’s take a look at some of the front runners.

Sage green has been on the horizon for the last couple of years as a trending paint color. This is due to the popularity of the Boho design style and the mid-century modern look. Both have design elements pulled from nature and a more modern flare. It feels serene and still fresh and fun.

Green/Yellow/Pinks

Sage Green and White

This kitchen used sage green as the main color cabinet and mixed in white cabinets for the island. The white quartz countertops and gold hardware give a little glam to this kitchen. The traditional rug has vibrant colors like blue to add some dimension.

Yellow

This kitchen went through an amazing transformation, from country brown cabinets to bright yellow on the lower cabinets and open shelving on top!

7 Best Color Pairs for a Multicolored Kitchen Set (looks cool!)

Combination sets are a kitchen trend often used by designers. But it can be difficult to choose different shades for the upper and lower cabinets or columns on your own. Our selection of color pairs - to help you!

1 Red and white

Red and white combine well in one kitchen set. It turns out not too catchy, but at the same time attracting attention. Be careful with the choice of shades, it is best to stay on muted shades of red, especially for small kitchens. nine0003

Instagram: @euphodecor

Instagram: @moetalksalot

2 White and gold

The combination of white and gold looks very airy and aristocratic. In this case, most of the headset, as well as the decoration of the room, should still be white. In gold, you can decorate a number of small cabinets. To make the interior look thoughtful and complete, add a few golden accents to the kitchen, such as a chandelier or furniture legs. nine0003

3 Pink and gray

Pink and gray is a gentle combination that will look good in a modern minimalist kitchen. Choose a headset with a matte surface, so the combination of these two colors will become more elegant. It is also worth choosing tones that are close in saturation.

Light gray and pink are cool colors, so they won't overload even a small kitchen. Can be used as an addition to another accent cold color. For example, blue, as in this project.

4 Blue and cyan

These two colors are close to each other on the color wheel, and they will overlap and complement each other beautifully. If the volume of the room allows, surround the blue color with blue, so it will look like a bright accent. And do not forget to bring at least one of these colors outside the headset, for example, in the decoration of a room or furniture upholstery. nine0003

5 Green and orange

Green and orange are two natural colors that can be found in nature, so their combination is perceived as harmonious. But since these are bright and deep colors, you need to carefully select the shades. Use the color wheel and choose tones that are the same distance from the center. For example, in this kitchen, the designer used a muted green with a bluish tint and a dark orange, close to terracotta. The wall cabinet is decorated with light wood. It stands out in an interesting yet unobtrusive way and balances out the bright color group. nine0003

6 Orange and gray

Orange and gray will go well in a modern kitchen or loft-style room. At the same time, both shades can be quite deep and saturated. To combine the headset with the rest of the interior, use orange accents. For example, you can choose a pair of bar stools, sofa cushions or curtains in this color. nine0003

7 Blue and white

Another classic and win-win combination. In dark blue, the bottom row of cabinets and side vertical cabinets are usually decorated. And the white upper cabinets become a continuation of the ceiling. It turns out colorful and at the same time not too catchy.

and color. As a base, we took a complex turquoise, which in one form or another is present in all functional areas. It also has a kitchen set. 2 Kitchen with gold facades

The brightest accent in the interior of this kitchen-living room is the golden set. Despite the fact that the facades are made in a catchy color, it goes well with the living area. All thanks to the repeating colors: gold, green, as well as a shade of wood. The upper tier of cabinets in gold is duplicated in the design of bar stools, their base is also decorated in gold. Curtains, decorative pillows on the sofa, parts of the coffee table are also made in gold. Despite some pomposity, in fact, this interior looks very cozy and harmonious. nine0003

3 Ultramarine kitchen with spectacular hood

The facades of the suite (as well as the walls in this kitchen) are painted in a bright blue hue and complemented with gold fittings. A rich palette makes the interior memorable and individual, and the details add gloss. One of the main elements is a three-dimensional extract of a beautiful complex shape with a carved edge. In fact, a geyser is also hiding under the dome. nine0003

4 Kitchen in olive color

Unusual color schemes can be not only bright and contrasting, but also quite neutral. In this case, the set is made in a calm olive hue, but the thing is that in the Provence interior, the whole palette is usually very diluted. That is why the olive kitchen in this interior looks spectacular. By the way, the dining group also supports the color scheme on the facades - the upholstery of the chairs is made in the same shade. nine0003

5 Contrasting kitchen

Choosing colors that contrast in warmth is a popular technique not only in wall or floor decoration, but also in furniture design. So, two colors were used here: cold, saturated blue and neutral warm beige. Together they create a harmonious pair, besides, despite the opposite shades, both base colors look quite neutral, and the different sizes of the headset drawers help to visually lighten the entire structure and make it more airy. nine0003
