What is the Bissell ICONpet like to use? 

 Simple set-up
I consider myself handy, but I’m confident my six-year-old son could have assembled the Bissell ICONpet vacuum. With minimal moving parts and super clear instructions, it took less than twenty minutes to put together. Bissell recommends charging the unit for four hours before using, and despite being impatient, I listened. Once the vacuum was ready to roll, I tested it on several surfaces. 

Portability
If you have stairs, you know what a pain (literally) it can be lugging a vacuum up and down. At the touch of a button, the Bissell ICONpet transforms into a handheld vacuum. Weighing in under three pounds (yes I weighed it), I can vacuum my stairs in five minutes compared to fifteen. Added bonus? I don’t feel it in my back the next morning.

Here at my house, what I’ll find in furniture is a guessing game. Most of the time it’s leftover breakfast and dog hair, both of which the Bissell sweeps right up!  If you have pets or children, the handheld option will save your sanity. 

Best ways to use the Bissell ICONpet

I like to think that the Bissell is great for a seemingly limitless number of situations. With that being said, this vacuum is seriously convenient for more than just floors. Pet bed too large for the washer? Pull out the Bissell. Leftover popcorn from movie night found its way into the couch? Go grab the Bissell.

Quick note: I have some pretty plush carpet in my bedroom, and the ICONpet struggled to perform on even the strongest setting. Area rugs and my mom’s low-pile carpet? A dream.

Useful LED lighting
Picture this: you just get done cleaning, and put your vacuum away. Moments later, you notice left-behind crumbs, and want to scream. We’ve all been there, and it’s maddening. With the built-in LED lighting, you can kiss those missed spots goodbye. When I tell you the lights are bright, trust me. They light up a path that shows no mercy to pet hair or even, and I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, dust. Did I mention the crevice tool also includes a nifty LED light? Perfect for cleaning couches 

Power modes
There are three power modes, thoughtfully designed for different surfaces. Max cleaning, everyday cleaning, and quiet cleaning. Carpet requires a stronger suction than hardwood- so max cleaning is the best option for soft surfaces. Everyday cleaning is the best option for hardwood and area rugs, as well as car interior and furniture. Quiet mode is surprisingly quiet, and I’d recommend using only on hardwood. The suction is minimal, but it does boast the longest run time!

Tangle-free brush
Pet hair is one thing, but long (human) hair is a whole new ballgame. Bissell’s patented Tangle-Free Brush Roll is amazing and prevents hair from wrapping around the brush. Pro tip- when hair gets stuck around a vacuum brush, the vacuum loses suction power and struggles to clean effectively. If you’ve ever had the dreaded task of cleaning hair from a vacuum, you’ll appreciate this feature.  

Washable filter
I won’t name names, but some vacuums require an engineering degree to remove the bin and filter. I’ll let you in on a little secret: Bissell’s foam filter can be washed with soap and water and dries in less than an hour. Best part? It’s easy to take out, and just as easy to put back in. 

Bissell ICONpet Cordless Vacuum: Final thoughts

I’m not sure anyone wakes up in the morning thinking, “I can’t wait to vacuum,” but this cordless vac makes it a much less painful chore. 

If you’re sick of lingering pet hair, the Bissell ICONpet cordless vacuum was built for you. It’s simple, practical, and it does what the box says. So easy to use, my children may begin moonlighting as housekeepers. 

Pet hair is sneaky, but the Bissell’s LED lights show no mercy. Pet dander lingers, but it’s nothing the Motorized TurboBrush can’t handle. Behind my fridge? I’ll spare you the details, but it was ugly. Dust for days, and it was swept away in two passes.  

I also love that Bissell uses their SmartSeal Allergen System, which does a great job keeping dust inside the vacuum. For allergy sufferers, this is a noteworthy quality of the ICONpet. 

Also affordable compared to many competitors, the Bissell ICONpet Cordless Vacuum is a winner in our book.

There are only a few things I didn’t swoon over, and they’re not dealbreakers. The design is not particularly ergonomic and is top-heavy. It’s not too noticeable for quick clean-ups, but if you plan on tackling the whole house, your arm may need a break (or perhaps I should join a gym). Learn from my mistake and don’t rely on a wall to hold your vacuum up. It will fall right over, as the Bissell ICONpet is not a free-standing vacuum.

They offer a diverse selection of vacuum cleaners, ranging from compact handheld cordless vacuums to bulky corded uprights and everything in between. Most of their offerings are somewhat budget-friendly and use bagless designs, meaning that recurring costs tend to be pretty low.     The BISSELL Adapt Ion Pet is the best BISSELL cordless vacuum we've tested. This cordless upright vacuum can easily handle pet hair on everything from flat, even surfaces like hardwood or linoleum to high-pile carpet. Its lightweight plastic construction makes it amazingly easy to maneuver, even in cluttered areas. You can easily reconfigure it into a handheld vacuum to help clear debris in hard-to-reach areas, and it comes with dedicated upholstery and crevice tools. However, there's no pet grooming tool or turbo brush. Thanks to its bagless design and washable filters, you shouldn't need to worry about recurring costs adding up over time.

    Unfortunately, this vacuum's overall battery performance is poor, as you can only expect a maximum of roughly 20 minutes of runtime, so you need to work fast when cleaning bigger areas. It also takes nearly five hours to recharge, leading to extended interruptions between cleaning sessions. It also struggles with sucking up bulky debris, which tends to get stuck at the entry to its dustbin, and has a hard time dealing with fine debris on carpets. If you only need a cordless vacuum for spot-cleaning, the BISSELL AeroSlim is a solid option, though its dustbin is tiny even by the standards of other handheld vacuums.

    The best BISSELL vacuum cleaner for bare floors that we've tested is the BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro. This corded hybrid vacuum mop does a great job of dealing with pet hair as well as small and bulky debris on bare, even surfaces like hardwood or tile, with no significant loss in suction performance as its relatively spacious dustbin fills up. Its detergent-dispersal function makes it a good fit for clearing away stains, though it still can't provide the same level of surface agitation as a dedicated hand mop. It's also impressively effective when it comes to sucking up liquid spills. It also has a reasonably long power cord, allowing you to clean larger rooms without swapping outlets, and is lighter than most traditional uprights. Build quality is also superior compared to many other BISSELL vacuums like the BISSELL Adapt Ion Pet.

    Unfortunately, this vacuum does have more parts that need regular cleaning compared to alternatives like the BISSELL Featherweight Stick 2033, though it's worth noting that the Featherweight offers inferior overall performance on most surface types. There's also no way of adjusting the speed of the brushroll or stopping its rotation, so you need to be careful when cleaning around loose obstructions like rug tassels, which can get stuck in its floorhead.

    If you have a lot of carpeting to clean in your home, the BISSELL PowerForce Helix is among the best BISSELL vacuums we've tested. This budget-friendly upright vacuum has a five-level surface adjustment feature that enables you to change its brushroll height on the fly, which is helpful if you have a wide mix of floor types in your home. It delivers excellent overall performance on low-pile carpet and does a great job of sucking up debris like pet hair, sand, and baking soda on high-pile carpet. Its bagless design and washable pre-motor filter keep recurring costs low, while its spacious dirt compartment shouldn't need emptying very often. It's also lightweight, allowing you to carry it up and down stairs without too much of a problem. You can also spot-clean small areas by using its wand and attaching either its soft-bristle dusting brush or its crevice tool.

    However, this vacuum isn't very maneuverable as a result of its bulky design and lack of a rotating head, which forces you to take wide turns to maneuver it. Build quality is mediocre, with its floorhead wheels, brushroll plate, and dustbin feeling especially fragile. Unlike the notably pricier BISSELL Pet Hair Eraser Turbo Plus, there's also no brushroll on/off switch, so it can get stuck on obstructions like rug tassels if the head height isn't set high enough.

BISSELL vacuums usually fall into a budget-friendly price range, though you may be sacrificing some measure of cleaning performance, build quality, or quality of life features in exchange for that affordability. They tend to perform worse on all surface types than Shark vacuums and struggle more with clearing large debris than most Eureka vacuums, though they tend to be similarly affordable.

The ideal washing vacuum cleaner for the home - I present a review of the excellent Bissell Crosswave model. This is a cordless (battery) vacuum cleaner for wet and dry cleaning with a self-cleaning station. Thoughtful design, extremely convenient maintenance, affordable consumables - all this once and for all makes you forget about the mop and house cleaning. The vacuum cleaner is able to clean carpets and scrub dried stains, as well as self-cleaning rollers.

So, in today's review we will talk about an extremely interesting model of a wet vacuum cleaner - Bissell Crosswave. It is a popular brand with a full line of carpet cleaners and deep carpet cleaners that actually delivers on the performance they claim. Initially, the choice was between washing models Karcher FC7 (wireless) and Tineco (also wireless). Of course, there are also wired Karcher FC5 models and the same Bissell, but one of the important criteria was ease of cleaning. And you can’t run far with a wire - usually the length of the power cord is 5-7 meters, after cleaning it needs to be untangled and put away somewhere. And with battery models it is much easier. Moreover, Bissell Crosswave has a whole station for cleaning rollers and recharging. No less important was the criterion of ease of maintenance - without expensive consumables, without complex disassembly or problematic cleaning of the vacuum cleaner itself. And Bissell excels at this.

The vacuum cleaner is delivered with the handle removed, assembled. The box is relatively compact, inside there is a cleaning / charging station, as well as a liter of branded detergent.

The size of the vacuum cleaner including the handle is about 118 x 33 x 35 cm, the rather large main unit in which the motor is installed, as well as both containers, catches the eye. The vacuum cleaner weighs about 4.3 kg (excluding liquids).

The clean water tank is mounted at the top rear and the dirty water tank is mounted at the bottom of the front of the housing, directly above the cleaning head. A second handle is provided for carrying on the case.

The complete instruction is made like a comic - in pictures. In principle, there is nothing incomprehensible when working and maintaining a vacuum cleaner. Fill with clean water and washing liquid, vacuum, then rinse the working parts and dry.

This bottle of branded detergent is included in the kit. It is a concentrate based on purified water and surfactants. As I understand it, you can purchase either the same tool, or a similar one with a similar composition.

The principle of operation is based on cleaning the surface with wet rollers that rotate continuously.
In total, there are two modes of cleaning intensity - for hard surfaces (laminate, linoleum, tiles) and for carpets (carpets, paths, carpet, etc.).

Pressing the button sends a jet of clean water and detergent into the cleaning head. The rollers rub off the dirt, and then wring out the mechanism. Dirty water is collected in a special container. The container for collecting dirty water is quite voluminous, there is a coarse filter, a fine filter and a HEPA filter. Everything is perfectly washed and collected after cleaning and drying.

The cleaning head is disassembled in an elementary way - just pull the cover towards you. Then it will be possible to remove, rinse and wring out the roller. The dirty water tank is also easy to remove and wash.

Charging station included. Powered by the mains, recharges the battery of the vacuum cleaner itself. At the same time it serves as a storage organizer and functions as a trough for squeezing rollers in self-cleaning mode.

The manufacturer suggests storing accessories in this way. The benefit of additional nozzles-heads is not provided.

For self-cleaning, it is enough to hold the corresponding button for 15 seconds. First you need to pour the cleaning agent into the pan.

Before work, fill the clean water tank in the proportions specified in the instructions. Please note that there are marks for a small room (up to 27 sq. M.) And for a large one (up to 50 sq. M.).

It is difficult to catch the process of water supply in the photo, but it goes something like this: the nozzles spray clean water onto the rollers, the rollers wet the surface, they capture already dirty water with particles of debris and dust, are squeezed out, and the dirty water flows up through the pipe into a special container to collect waste water. Large debris in the tank is retained by a coarse filter, then fine cleaning (mesh) takes place, and the air itself is filtered by a Hepa filter.

It is advisable to carry out dry cleaning beforehand, but the vacuum cleaner copes with small and large debris perfectly - everything settles in the dirty water tank.

The "Rug area" cleaning mode is designed for cleaning pile surfaces (carpets, runners, rugs) - in this case, slightly less water is dosed. In the "Hard area" cleaning mode, more water is supplied, cleaning is more intensive. This mode is suitable for ceramic flooring, linoleum, etc.

Before cleaning with BISSELL CrossWave, it makes sense to first run with a simple vacuum cleaner (for dry cleaning) so that the rollers are less polluted with dust.

Despite the dimensions of the main unit, the vacuum cleaner is very manoeuvrable. Can be tilted, rotated, cleaned in corners, next to furniture, etc. Very comfortably.

Fluid is dispensed by pressing a button in the handle. When applying, you can see the splashing of clean water on the rollers (with illumination) and the intensive collection of dirty water through the central channel. After vacuuming, the surface is slightly damp and dries quickly.

Example of the status of the dirty water compartment after cleaning. And this is taking into account the preliminary dry cleaning with a Dyson vacuum cleaner. So definitely such a washing vacuum cleaner is a must have at home.

After cleaning I return the vacuum cleaner to the base. You need to install carefully and without effort, as electrical contacts are connected. Full charge time is 4 hours.

Compared to BISSELL CrossWave Cordless - Dyson V10 vacuum cleaner (dry). By the way, the Dyson vacuum cleaner also knows how to clean floors, but I will talk about this a little later. As you can see, the BISSELL vacuum cleaner looks more massive and heavier, mainly due to the cleaning unit. But in terms of cleaning, BISSELL gives better results.

Also for comparison - a new and good model Dreame Cordless Vacuum T30. Powerful cordless dry vacuum cleaner. Alas, on Dreame I did not meet washing nozzles.

I will complete the review with a comparison with a similar model Tineco iFLOOR 3. This is the same washing vacuum cleaner, differing in details. Also cleans up well. I note the quieter work of Tineco in terms of noise.

I liked the BISSELL CrossWave Cordless (2872N) vacuum cleaner. With him, it somehow became more fun to be killed in the house. Cleaning is no problem - wash the rollers, dirty water tank, and dry. Then install in place. It makes sense to purchase spare filters / rollers so that while the old ones dry, the new ones can be safely removed. Of course, it is optional to have a washing robot vacuum cleaner, then it will be easier to keep the room clean. The construction is sleek and not bulky, and the three main parts are fairly easy to assemble with a simple click and click. It is quite light at 3.63 kg, so it is very easy to roll on the floor with one hand.

The selling point here is the 2-in-1 design, which can be instantly transformed from a long-range stick into a handheld vacuum cleaner. With the push of a button, it can be easily detached to clean up those little clutter, sofa or car. Making life so much easier without lugging around a whole janitor.

The Bissell MultiReach Cordless Vacuum Cleaner comes with two accessories, a useful crevice tool to get into all those nooks and crannies, and an upholstery brush. That's not much considering most vacuum cleaners usually come with a bag of various accessories (which you don't end up using). But at least you won't have to worry about where to hide it, adding "clutter" to your home. It comes with a wall mount station which is always handy for vertical storage in your kitchen cabinet and is a real space saver.

It is equipped with a motorized brush roller that prevents tangling and prevents annoying hair from winding around the motor. Another handy feature is the bright LED lights on the floor nozzle to help you see debris in dark places. I always find it helpful to see what's under a bed or sofa and make sure you pick everything up.

Cylinder without dust bag has a capacity of 0.5 liters and a useful dust bag full indicator. While you may need a few trips to the trash can, if you have a heavy cleaning, you can vacuum a room or two until it reaches capacity. Best of all, when you're done cleaning, just press and release to empty the bin. If it is really dirty, it is enough to quickly rinse it under the tap and dry it. Fast, easy and fuss-free - all a plus when you don't have much free time.

Bissell Multireach Active Overview: Performance

The Bissell MultiReach Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is powered by a 21V Li-Ion battery with two power modes, high and low. This promises 30 minutes of continuous use, which is about the average cleaning time for standard cordless vacuum cleaners.

After everything was charged within the recommended five hours, I got to work. The first thing to note is the ease of use, allowing you to slide on the floor. The motorized floor nozzle is especially impressive, and with a flick of my hand, I was able to get around the sofa legs and those awkward corners.

In high power mode, it has good suction and works well on parquet floors, sucking up all the cookie crumbs and debris in seconds. While it was fine on carpet, it was more of an effort to pull out hair or stubborn dirt. Low mode is ideal for removing more dust and debris from the surface, but not for driving bristles into carpet to remove dirt. The noise is quite quiet - 81 dB, which is enough not to disturb the neighbors!

As you might have guessed from the name, its "multi-reach" design allows you to reach hard-to-reach places, such as those annoying cobwebs on the ceiling and corners. However, I found it a little hard to hold myself up high for long periods of time (or maybe my arms are just too short!).

The stairs were a bit difficult to clean and the large floor area was difficult to maneuver. In fact, a step brush can be useful in a set to solve this problem, especially for narrow steps. However, you can work around this by removing the floor nozzle and using a crevice tool.

It is also worth noting that the vacuum cleaner cannot stand alone. So if you want to stop at any moment to get something out of the way, you'll have to lean it against a wall or lay it flat, which is a bit awkward.

After about 20 minutes, I heard the battery start to drain and the indicator shows one bar of juice. To be fair, it ran mostly on high power, and Bissell claims it delivers 30 minutes on low power, so that's worth noting. Charging also takes quite a long 5 hours.

I'd say it's much more of a vacuum cleaner for cleaning up spills and short vacuuming walks around your house. However, having said that, I was able to thoroughly clean three rooms and a staircase before the battery started to run low, which is not bad.

Sure, the charge doesn't last as long as its more expensive counterparts, but the Bissell MultiReach is powerful enough to quickly look around the house.
