Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have officially filed for divorce, as of Friday 28 October 2022. The pair filed similar messages on Instagram saying that “co-parenting” would be their priority. In total the couple were married for 13 years; they have two children together, Benjamin (12) and Vivian (9). They also parent Brady’s first child Jack (15), who he had with former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

In breaking the news to his followers, Brady said that the couple “arrived at this decision [to divorce] amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.” Brady said the priority for the couple is their children and that they plan to “work together as parents” to “ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”

Brady and Bündchen properties around the world

One of the most iconic marriages of two super stars, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen, is coming to an end after months of “tension” in their relationship, and years of challenges.

Luckily, over the course of their 13-year marriage, the Brazilian supermodel and NFL star have racked up an impressive portfolio of real estate that they can now split.

The couple, who share two children — son Benjamin Rein (12) and 9-year-old daughter Vivian Lake, along with Brady’s son John Edward (15) with ex Bridget Moynahan — bought and sold multiple multi-million dollar homes in and out of the country.

Here’s a look at the enormous properties they’ve shared since becoming husband and wife in 2012.

Florida

The couple’s current Florida home base is Miami, where Brady plays with the Bucs. In 2020, the 45-year-old and 42-year-old supermodel, purchased a $17 million property on exclusive Indian Creek Island in Miami Beach. Known for its extreme security measures, the island is home for several famous residents including Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

The Brady-Bündchen property is a 30,000-square-foot waterfront estate that possesses seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a six-car garage, two boat lifts and an 80-foot-long saltwater lap pool.

Massachusetts

When Brady was the quarterback of the New England Patriots, he bought and sold multiple residences in the Boston area. Before he left with his family to Florida, the Brady family lived in an expansive suburban compound in Brookline, Massachusetts. The 9,716-square-foot mansion featured five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a cobblestone motor court that can fit 20 cars, a wine room, gym and spa. It was custom built in 2015 and designed by the same architect who had previously built a home in Los Angeles for the couple, the renowned Richard Landry.

Bündchen even had a “sanctuary where I spend most of my time,” referring to the part out back that included an organic herb and vegetable garden, a pool and a 2,400-square-foot barn-style guest house.

The couple listed the home for sale in August 2019 for $39.5 million, even though Brady had agreed to continue playing for the Patriots the following season. They then lowered the price to $33. 9 million in October, and finally sold for $33 million in January 2021.

California

After purchasing a plot in Brentwood, Calif. in 2008, Brady and Bündchen built a 13,890-square-foot chateau famously featuring a moat, a pool house, a cobblestone drive and the best part… Pacific Ocean views.

In 2014, the couple listed the house for $50 million and ended up selling it to music mogul Dr. Dre for $40 million. The house served as a place where the family can enjoy being together.

New York

The Brady-Bündchens previously owned a few apartments in New York City, including one they sold for $40 million in 2020. They then downsized to a 3,310-square-foot space, featuring four bedrooms, three baths on the 48th floor of a luxury tower overlooking the Flatiron district home. They purchased it in 2014 for $11.7 million, then put it on the market two years later for $17.25 million. They finally re-listed it for $14 million in 2018, but the final sale price was not disclosed.

Costa Rica

On the west coast of Central American Costa Rica, the family owned a hilltop beach retreat that they enjoyed over the years. Not much else is known about the international vacation home though.

Montana

The former in-love couple also own a vacation getaway at the exclusive Yellowstone Resort in Montana.

NFL star Tom Brady and ex Gisele Bündchen moved to Florida after he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in April 2020. Before finalizing their divorce in October 2022, the athlete and supermodel shared tons of photos of their Tampa Bay rental mansion.

Tom and Gisele moved with their three kids, Jack, whom Tom shares with ex Bridget Moynahan, Benjamin and Vivian, after the former New England Patriot was signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2020-2021 season. At the time, the Tampa Bay Times reported the couple started renting the lavish, 30,000-square-foot property that offers incredible views of the bay.

However, TMZ Sports revealed Tom and Gisele, who tied the knot in 2009, purchased a new home in a gated community in the Clearwater area in October 2020. Page Six stated the duo paid $17 million for the five-bedroom, eight-bathroom home, but they planned to demolish the current property and build a new one.

While it’s unclear what will happen with Gisele and Tom’s new mansion following their split, they appeared to still be living in the abode in Tampa Bay, which was previously owned by Derek Jeter. Although Tom may eventually call Clearwater his new home for good, their current house in Tampa is nothing to complain about.

Aside from being located right on the water, the former couple’s enviable rental is absolutely massive. It features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, multiple formal and living areas, a grand kitchen and much more.

Since moving in, Tom and his family have spoken a bit about their new life in Florida. The famous footballer said he’s enjoying the “hot” weather and “never going back [the] to cold” Northeast, but he dished his daughter isn’t too thrilled with the high temperatures.

“She won’t eat outside with us,” he explained on Dax Shepard‘s “Armchair Expert” podcast in September 2020. “She goes inside the house. She’s like, ‘Daddy, I do not like it this hot all the time.'”

Despite Vivi’s complaint about the hot Florida air, Gisele noted she uses their time at home to reconnect.

“Our family tries to limit the amount of screen time. Technology and social media can be a wonderful platform to spread positivity and awareness, but I do believe it is important to stay present and mindful of how it is used,” the proud mom explained to Marie Claire in March 2020. “The kids have an iPad where they can sometimes watch movies or play games, but they do have a time limit on that.”

The Devil Wears Prada actress said she would rather see Ben and Vivi, as well as Tom’s eldest son, Jack, running around outdoors. “I encourage them to play together and be outside as much as possible,” she shared. “When they tell me they are bored, I tell them that is good, because this way they can think of something else that they want to do.”

In September 2022, construction continued on Tom and Gisele’s home, despite the couple finalizing for divorce just one month later, per multiple outlets. The news came after the athlete signed on to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for another season, although he initially announced his retirement in February 2022. His love for the sport drew him to come out of retirement in March 2022. The family appeared to be living in their rental home while awaiting the completion of their new abode.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have been separated for over a month

It seems that a difficult period has begun in the relationship of another star couple. An insider told reporters that Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have been living separately for more than a month. The seemingly happy couple have not seen each other for the past six weeks as the 45-year-old returned to the US National Football League and the 42-year-old model travels the world. " Giselle is now busy with her own life and spending time away from Tom in Miami and New York. During the season, they live a separate life ,” says one of the insiders.

Meanwhile, another source claims that when Brady decided to retire and then changed his mind, it became a stumbling block for the supermodel. Giselle wanted him to spend more time with their children - 12-year-old son Benjamin Rain and 9-year-old daughter Vivian Lake. In addition, he has a 15-year-old son, John Edward, with his ex, Bridget Moynahan. However, the football legend definitely finds time for his family, because for him this is the most important thing.

“No other husband gets six months of vacation a year to devote entirely to his family. And during the season, yes, he travels to games and practices, but he also spends a lot of time with his family," the insider said.

The couple owns a $17 million home in Miami's prime Indian Creek Village. « They both want to live in Miami, they love it and have many friends there. I don't think it's about a final breakup at the moment, they really would like to work it out ,” the source said. Last month, Brady was away for 11 days after being released from the team to deal with some personal matters. After returning, he spoke in detail about this situation to reporters. « Everyone has different situations they face and we all have problems in life. I'm 45 years old man. There's a lot going on, so you just have to try to make sense of life as best you can. You know, this is a continuous process ,” said the footballer.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion and his Brazilian wife are having a hard time, but they have a chance to reunite. « There are many tense moments. She was so happy when he announced his departure, and Gisele was not at all happy when he returned to work ,” the insider said.

Apparently, Brady must make a choice in favor of a family if he wants to keep his love with the self-sufficient Giselle.
