Whole house filtration is a necessity. The 2 most important criteria for any water filtration system, is (1) the surface contact area, which is the amount of surface area that can come in contact with the water, and (2) the contact time, or the amount of time the water is in contact with the purification media. At Clean Water Filter Company, we use this criteria while installing your filter, to be certain you have the most efficient water filtration setup for your home.

All water service companies delivering water to households are regulated by government agencies at the state level. The Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) is set by these agencies for a number of common pollutants. Some include: inorganic chemicals, lead, Trihalomethanes (THMS), which is a byproduct of chlorine and organic matter, disinfecting levels of chlorine and chloramine, and total dissolved solids (TDS).
CHLORINE
Municipalities dump chlorine into the water to kill organisms. Humans are organisms too! You absorb more chlorine and chemicals through your skin while showering and bathing than from drinking. Chlorine also dries the skin, and discolors hair and clothes. Drinking tap water that is chlorinated is hazardous, if not deadly, to your health.”
– U.S. Council of Environmental Quality
“Up to 2/3 of the harmful effects of chlorine is due to inhalation and skin absorption while showering.”
– American Journal of Public Health
CHLORAMINE
Many municipalities are moving from chlorine to chloramine. Chloramine is listed by the EPA as a hazardous substance. It causes rapid deterioration of infrastructure which can cause lead and other metals to leech into the water. Chloramine is also a respiratory irritant. It stays in the water distribution system longer than chlorine and can react with organic material to create hazardous byproducts. It is much harder to remove chloramine than chlorine.
LEAD
Aging infrastructure and contaminated water sources have made lead contamination a front page issue.
“Lead is especially harmful to the developing brains of fetuses and young children and to pregnant women. ”
– World Health Organization
U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has determined that lead and lead compounds are reasonably anticipated to be human carcinogens, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that lead is a probable human carcinogen.
– Centers for Disease Control & Prevention
Children Represent Approximately 80% of the disease impact attributed to lead, with an estimated 600,000 new cases of childhood intellectual disabilities…

Thousands of new pollutants enter the water supply and municipalities are financially strapped
Up to 2/3 of water treatment violations, due to frequent equipment failures, go unreported.
Municipalities are only required to monitor a few hundred of more than 40,000 chemicals and to only reduce them to a minimum standard, not a healthy one.
Standards are determined by looking at each contaminant alone, not taking into account the effects of interaction between contaminants
Recent events in Flint, Colorado and even Long Island have exposed homeowners to:
Chemicals from industrial waste
Heavy metals like lead and mercury
Elevated levels of iron
Cysts (Cryptospordium), a microscopic parasite that causes diarrheal disease

Under sink Reverse osmosis For hard water Chlorine cleaning Filter with mineralizer From rusty water iron removal From bacteria For children Flow filters household With storage tank single stage two stage Three-stage Four-stage Five-speed For coffee machines Without storage tank
A high-quality sink filter is an effective solution for removing chlorine and organochlorines from drinking water. AQUAPHOR filter cartridges contain activated coconut carbon, which, like a sponge, absorbs harmful impurities (chlorine, petroleum products, pesticides and other dissolved pollutants).
1. Chlorine filter for hard water and protection against all impurities
Choose reverse osmosis filters - it's the best protection against chlorine and any other impurities. A special membrane allows only water to pass through, and pollutants (including hardness salts, due to which scale appears in the kettle) go into the drain. Chlorine, organochlorine and larger undissolved impurities are removed in the first stage of purification using carbon cartridges.
2. Safe water without boiling
Hollow fiber membrane filters are an alternative to reverse osmosis filters for inherently soft water. Carbon modules purify water from chlorine and its compounds, and hollow fiber eliminates bacteria and cysts without any chemical bactericides.
4. Water treatments without chlorine and irritation
The smell of chlorine from the water is unpleasant, and the chlorine itself provokes allergic reactions. Sensitive skin (especially in infants) can become red and rash, hair becomes brittle, and chlorine fumes are bad for the lungs. Bathing children, washing, taking a shower or bath without problems and with pleasure will help deep water purification systems throughout the apartment: for example, AQUAPHOR Viking is a stylish main filter in a stainless steel case.

Mechanical water filters.
NPO KVOWhy do we need filters for mechanical water purification?
Eating poor quality water greatly affects human health. Doctors have established that many diseases appear just as a result of the use of polluted water. How to protect yourself from this disaster? An effective way to deal with poor quality water is to install Mechanical Filters . Thanks to these devices, water can be purified from impurities such as clay, limestone, and ferruginous deposits.
What is the mechanical water filter made of?
Mechanical water filter consists of a housing and a filter element - cartridge. The latter may be replaceable, usable for a certain period of time, or non-replaceable. A non-replaceable cartridge is suitable for water purification from mechanical impurities at individual water supply facilities. During its operation, no additional maintenance or purchase of consumables is required, which is very beneficial.
If you are dissatisfied with the quality of the water you consume, you can always contact our company for help.
LLC NPO KVO will install a mechanical filter at any facility. Competent installation will allow you to meet all the requirements for the placement of high-tech devices. If necessary, specialists of LLC NPO KVO can also arrange mechanical wastewater treatment.
Crushed anthracite grains, quartz sand, expanded clay, garnet, Filter-Ag granules (anhydrous silicon oxide) are used as filter materials in modern filters.
Mechanical cleaning not only provides removal of harmful impurities from water , but also eliminates turbidity, increases transparency, eliminates unpleasant odors, and gets rid of taste. Thanks to the installed filtration system, you will finally feel the taste of real water.
Mechanical methods of water purification: types of filters
Mechanical water purification is carried out using various filters. The choice of one or another type depends on the characteristics of the water at the facility.
There are special filters for water purification from iron - reagent and non-reagent. The former use potassium permanganate as a reagent, thanks to which water is purified from highly concentrated dissolved iron, hydrogen sulfide, and manganese. Chemicalless filters are automatic systems capable of purifying water, depending on the type of filler, from a whole range of impurities.
There are also mesh filters and ammo. Mesh are subdivided into washing and non-flushing. Both those and others purify the water right at the time of its supply. But if washing can be equipped with a washing machine, then non-washing ones have to be cleaned of contamination manually. The degree of purification of mesh filters is from 20 to 500 microns. Cartridge filters for water use a cartridge placed in a plastic or steel housing as a filter element. Thanks to them, the highest quality cleaning from mechanical impurities is provided - from 30 to 0.5 microns.
Another type of mechanical water filter - high-speed pressure - resembles a column. The water passing through the filter element is purified from various kinds of mechanical impurities. Therefore, high-speed pressure filters are considered the most versatile. The only catch is to prepare the site for installation. In order for the pressure filter to function, it needs enough space. In addition, a drainage line must also be installed, capable of providing a regeneration mode.
In addition to the above water filters, filters for water purification from iron, removal of hardness salts from water, as well as disinfection, sorption and reverse osmosis filters can be installed at private and industrial water supply facilities.
As you can see, mechanical methods of water purification are very diverse. The only thing they have in common is a first-class output.
