Tv in bedroom solutions

10 tips for styling a television |

Grab the popcorn and your pyjamas, because these bedroom TV ideas are ready to tuck you in for the ultimate movie night.

Aside from all the fun and games, incorporating a television into your bedroom ideas requires a deft touch. While settling into the most comfortable room of the house to watch your favorite shows before bed is hugely tempting, you need to remember that the bedroom needs to act as a calming space to aid sleep.

This means many people prefer to have a way to conceal a television when not in use, or at least keep its presence fairly discreet. Alternatively, a television can become an integral part of more modern wall decor ideas – having taken time to find the best TV for your room, then why not show it off? Either way, you’ll just need to ensure you get the balance right.

Bedroom TV ideas

From clever ways to conceal your technology, to methods for turning a television into a contemporary design feature, we asked the experts for their top tips and found some bedroom TV ideas inspiration that will make you want to settle down for a midnight movie marathon.

1. Make your TV part of a dedicated seating area

If you’re looking to live the suite life, boosting your master bedroom ideas with a comfortable  seating nook is a great way for large rooms to channel five-star luxury. Place your television at the heart of this and not only does it add an extra function to the enclave, but it creates a dedicated TV-watching area, adding a little distance between the screen and bedtime. In this room by interior designer Zoe Feldman , a large wall-mounted TV is flanked by cozy armchairs and a fiery orange ottoman.

2. Retract the TV into a bed end unit

Whether it’s for aesthetic or relaxation purposes, many people will want the option to conceal a bedroom television. If that’s the case for you, consider incorporating this system directly into your bed ideas. ‘TVs can be discreetly hidden under the bed on a motorised arm, or within a bed end unit,’ explains Danielle Carter, Associate Interior Designer at Millier .

In this bedroom by interior designer Alexis Hughes , the TV is installed into the bed end unit, and can be extracted vertically or hidden at will. The unit’s function is disguised by a contemporary sculpture on its lid – an idea that can also be employed for wall-mounted tech. ‘TVs can be concealed within shelving or storage unit opposite the bed, with a moving panel of artwork to conceal and reveal when needed,’ says Carter.

3. Pair with a fireplace to create a cozy nook

Rather than hiding a TV, go all out and make it a feature of your bedroom wall decor ideas. This is easiest to pull off with a modern aesthetic, and works best if you can create a slightly separate nook to house it in. In this bedroom by architect Cathy Purple Cherry , an L-shaped bedroom features a TV area, made extra cozy with a contemporary fireplace.

‘An inbuilt electric fire offers a design-led choice for the discerning homeowner, who wants to combine modern looks with the latest technology,’ says Jon Butterworth, Director at Arada Stoves . ‘Pair with a high tech flat screen TV to complete the feature wall and achieve perfect balance within the room.’

4. Balance modern technology with antique furniture

Although they might be a little more awkward to pair, modern technology and traditional bedroom furniture ideas are not mutually exclusive. In this room, a wall-mounted TV works well with the distressed antique sideboard because the pairing is intentional and unabashed, with the ornate pillars deliberately framing the screen.

A visible TV will instantly give the game away that this is a contemporary bedroom, so be sure to pepper the room with other modern elements – like this bedroom’s crisp white walls and tropical pot plant – to ensure it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.

5. Conceal a TV behind sliding panels

Thinking of incorporating a TV cabinet into your bedroom storage ideas? Then think carefully about your choice of doors. Choosing traditional hinged doors will mean you’ll need to keep them swung open the whole time you’re watching the screen, so consider less awkward alternatives.

‘Sliding door systems are a great way to conceal technology in the bedroom or any room of the home,’ says Simon Tcherniak, Senior Designer at Neville Johnson . ‘Depending on where you position them, they can reveal different ornaments or books and create a completely different look to your furniture. They can also be used to conceal a large TV so your bedroom can be transformed into a cinema room in seconds.’

6. Tuck it into the en suite bathroom

If you’re desperate for a little private TV time, but really are averse to screens in the bedroom, think about what’s around the corner. Incorporating a television into your en suite bathroom ideas means the screen is only accessible to inhabitants of the bedroom, but you won’t be tempted to binge watch late into the night. Instead, it’s there ready and waiting for when you want to fully unwind while enjoying a long, relaxing soak.

7. Keep it flush with built-in furniture

(Image credit: Pembrooke & Ives/Stephen Kent Johnson)

When considering how to design a bedroom, incorporating built-in furniture is the most space efficient way to store and display your possessions – and that includes your TV. In this room by interior design firm Pembrooke & Ives , the television is fitted neatly into a bespoke, built-in wardrobe system, the screen flush with the doors to make its inclusion seamless.

‘Whether you are looking for discreet storage or a stylish solution for your home, fitted furniture has the advantage of being built to suit the particular need of your room,’ adds Rachal Hutcheson, National Retail Manager at Sharps . ‘If you have invested a significant sum of money sourcing the best TV for your budget, the most prudent way to get the most from it is by taking the same care and attention in housing it. ’

8. Combine it with your home office

With working from home set to become an ongoing way of life, many of us have had to reconfigure rooms to incorporate home office ideas. If a bedroom in your home is now fitted with a tech-laden desk, consider how you can double up this space as a TV area. Many of us will need a large monitor to work comfortably from home, so check out how you can convert this into a TV screen at the end of the work day. This way you won’t need to have two screens in a bedroom, and your television set-up will stay as part of a dedicated audio-visual zone.

9. Tuck the TV into an alcove

Whether you’re tech-comfortable or not, you’re unlikely to want a TV to take over your bedroom design. Tucking it into an alcove is a great way to keep its presence discreet, particularly when incorporating it within small bedroom ideas. In this compact apartment bedroom by interior designer Stephanie Brown , the TV is fitted into a recess between the wardrobe and the en suite, ensuring it doesn’t compete with the stunning view from the full-height windows.

10. Make it modern with a minimalist aesthetic

If you’re looking to fully embrace the modernity of the bedroom television, pair it with simple bedroom ideas. Framing a TV with a minimalist aesthetic will fit with its clean cut lines, and also mean the room doesn’t feel too busy once the television is switched on. In this room, the black television actually contributes to the choice of a pared-back, almost monochrome color scheme.

How can I make my TV look good in the bedroom?

The first step of making a bedroom TV look good is working out whether you want to see it all the time or not. If you want to be able to conceal it when not in use, consider putting it inside a TV cabinet or fitted storage unit with dedicated sliding doors for its section, or incorporating it into a specially designed bed or bed end unit.

For very visible wall-mounted TVs, the best way to make it look good is to combine it very deliberately with the other furniture in your room. Create a dedicated seating area around it if you have a larger bedroom, or center it with a feature sideboard.

Where is the best place to put a TV in your bedroom?

In terms of choosing a position for your TV, it really depends on what you want to get out of it. If you want to be able to watch the screen while tucked up in bed, then it’s best to place it on the wall opposite the bed, or invest in a bed end unit (either incorporated into your bed or separate) that can allow the TV to pop out of the top, and then retract.

You may not, however, want to keep the sleeping area and the TV area of your bedroom separate. In this case, consider putting it to the side of the room, ideally in a separate nook with its own seating area. Alternatively, take it to the en suite bathroom, and enjoy an episode or two while enjoying a bubble bath.

Bedroom TV ideas to hide or display your screen

Bedroom TV ideas are such a big part of designing the space you're going to sleep in. If you want to include a TV then you're going to have to work out how to incorporate it. Whether you class your bedroom as a mindful gadget-free space in which to meditate, or use it as the perfect place to sit in bed and catch up on endless episodes of Married at First Sight, there's no judgement here.

‘When we install TVs for homeowners, fitting a bedroom TV is always a hot topic,’ says James Ratcliffe, home technology specialist at Homeplay.tv. ‘Some are very averse to the idea and others think it’s the most important TV in the house. 10 years ago it was common for us to install TVs in kids bedrooms, but now it’s very rare as they’re so used to watching iPads and laptops.'

Just like there are myriad living room TV ideas, there are also a number of ways you can place your TV in the bedroom to ensure its hard, black exterior blends in with the surrounding space. These include incorporating it into bespoke joinery, as well as hiding it in the foot of the bed. Mounting it on a wall with a decorative curtain panel to hide and reveal it is also an option.

Clever bedroom TV ideas to enhance your home

1. Hide the TV in the foot of your bed

(Image credit: Le Rocher - Perfect Integration CEDIA)

Who needs to worry about TV stand ideas when you can simply hide the TV in your bed frame so it's automated and glides up at the touch of a button? You can choose to have a bespoke fit or buy a ready-made bed design. ‘We've used this trick in a number of homes as it keeps the TV neatly concealed when not in use,' says Emma Deterding, founder and creative director of Kelling Designs. ‘Using electric motors, the TV rises up from the footboard so you can watch it and can be hidden away once you've finished watching your favorite show.'

If you want it to work with an existing or bespoke bed, you’ll need to opt for a tailor-made design and get a technology specialist in to help you achieve this. Try  CEDIA. to find an installation company in your area.

Alternatively, you can choose to buy a ready-made TV bed frame. Bedding companies such as Dreams, Bensons for Beds and TVbeds.co.uk now all sell versions of the TV bed.

The Titan 2 TV Bed in Charcoal Grey from TVbeds.co.uk for example, which is pictured above, is a bed frame that comes with a high-padded headboard and enough space to hide most modern LED screens from 32 to 43 inches.

You will have to provide the TV yourself as the price only includes the frame. The bed also has a section underneath the mattress where you can store your media units such as Sky Box or games console. Though, of course, if you're an early Sky Glass adopter you won't need to worry about that...

2. Hide your TV behind sliding wardrobe doors

Getting the storage just right in the bedroom is key to sweet dreams. A room that feels streamlined and spacious – with everything neatly hidden away – so you can run your fingers over the dresser like a model in a chocolate advert is achievable, however.

Investing in a fitted wardrobe that has space for your TV screen as well all your clothes, shoes and bed linen, is a great way to achieve a luxurious looking bedroom, for example. Use the Konmari Method to fold your clothes away neatly and you're onto a winner.

Companies such as Neatsmith can accommodate a TV in their tailor-made designs –  helpful if you've gone for one of the best 85 inch TVs. They even include space to hide soundbars and extras such as Sky TV, so you don't have clunky-set-top boxes on display.

'The key with TVs is to consider the distance and viewing angle first and then decide whether you wish them to be hidden or on display,' says Philipp Nagel, director at Neatsmith.

'When we fit TVs in bespoke wardrobes, the shelving is fitted to the client's requirements and the measurements of the tech they wish to fit within it.'

'Made-to-measure frameless glass sliding doors such as our Cloister doors are finished with 38mm internal shelving as standard and can be made up to 2800mm high and 1250mm wide. The depth will be made to ensure the doors close seamlessly in front of the contents of the wardrobe.'

And when you want to sit back in bed and watch an episode of The White Lotus, you can just slide the wardrobe doors open.

3. Mount the TV within painted storage or wardrobes

A similar idea to the sliding door tip above, fitting your TV behind wardrobe doors or with storage units surrounding it is a great way to keep the tech presence in your bedroom minimal and the zen maximal. Provided the TV viewing angle suits you and you can watch comfortably from your bed, there are a number of ways this can work.

The process is similar to how to mount your TV to a wall. First up you can call in the help of a joiner to adapt your existing wardrobe so that your TV is hidden behind the doors. Alternatively, you can fit a new wardrobe that is made to measure and has a TV in a concealed pull-out system such as in this handsome design from Sharps.

“Whether you are looking for discrete storage or a stylish solution for your home, fitted furniture has the advantage of being built to suit the particular need of your room,' says Rachal Hutcheson national retail manager at Sharps. 'From the configuration through to the finish, made-to-measure furniture ensures you make best use of available space and tailor it to your unique requirements.

'If you've invested a significant sum of money sourcing the best TV for your budget, the most prudent way to get the most from it is by taking the same care and attention in housing it.'

If you decide to house your TV in the middle of a bespoke wardrobe without a door hiding it, a good trick is to paint the wardrobe a dark colour so that it blends in well with the TV design and looks subtly stylish.

4. Create a viewing area in the bedroom dressing room

(Image credit: Future Paul Raeside )

If you can't bear to miss out on Strictly Come Dancing while you're getting dressed to go out on a Saturday night, then a TV mounted on your dressing room wall may be just the ticket.

'If you have the luxury of a walk-in dressing room and space for mounting a TV onto a wall, then creating an area where you can perch opposite while watching your favourite TV show is an excellent feature,' says interior designer Andrew Dunning of London Contemporary, an expert in modern bedroom ideas.

'A little tub chair or love seat would work well in a tight space. Perhaps use a bold pop of colour on the chair to make a statement and let it be known that this space is for relaxing and taking a pause.'

5. Hide your TV behind a fabric panel

Remember when as a kid you sat your parents down on the sofa and used the living room curtains as a makeshift theatre to perform your latest 'show'? Our next tip for a bedroom TV idea is better than that and a tad more sophisticated, but along the same lines.

We suggest simply mounting your TV onto the wall opposite your bed and using a luxurious silk curtain to hide and reveal it, as shown here. In this set up by technology architects Archimedia, the TV is seamlessly integrated with concealed cabling and it can be disguised from view by a fabric panel. Better still, the fabric panel – or sheer curtain, if you prefer – is automated, so it opens and closes at the touch of a button.  Bedroom curtain ideas have never been so sleek.

For a similar automated set up, try CEDIA for your local home technology specialist. Alternatively, you can manually pull your curtains open and shut to create the same theatrical effect.

If wall mounting or hiding your TV inside your wardrobe just isn't an option, an attractive TV unit will see you in good stead.

Also Google 'TV stands' online and you'll come across a host of stylish TV stand options to buy. Ikea, for example, sells a range of designs such as the modest Brusali TV bench , which is particularly well suited to bedrooms where space is tight.

You'll also find statement designs online such as the black and white intricate Chinoiserie-style pictured here. Not only is the TV stand a statement in itself, but it helps to distract from the black boxiness of the large TV screen. It's a win-win.

Alternatively, you could opt for a luxurious bed that makes the grand statement in your bedroom – commanding all the attention and distracting from a black boxy TV screen.

We're currently loving the bold and tactile finish of the velvet Dawson bed frame from Brook + Wilde , which is finished in a jaw-droppingly beautiful Lumino Midnight Blue. With a bed design like this in your room, everything else will pale in comparison.

7. Integrate the TV so it sits flush with the wall panels

(Image credit: The Disco House Perfect Integration CEDIA)

If you're looking for something that looks truly sleek, then a TV that sits flush with the wall panels will make for stylish viewing, even if you've gone supersize with one of the best 40 inch TVs. Here the TV does just that to complement, and not compete with, the interior design. Even more slick, a sliding panel is used to hide the TV when it's not in use.

'Here, the tech and joinery team have worked brilliantly together with integrated design and planning,' says Owen. 'The trick is to measure the exact depth of the TV at rest and then install the joinery around it, so you’ve got a very small gap at the edge of the screen.

'I’d expect the panels are removable or the TV is on a full-motion mount or ideally both, so it can all be serviced and maintained long term. I’d also expect good ventilation from behind.'

8. Integrate your TV behind a dressing table mirror

Mirror TVs have been around for a while and are a great way to hide your TV screen, particularly in a bespoke dressing area of the bedroom as seen here - a useful trick in small bedroom layouts.

'A great space saving solution as you're getting two fixtures in one, we have fitted quite a few mirror TVs in bedrooms,' says James Ratcliffe of Homeplay.tv., 'particularly in vanity areas that make the space work hard. When turned off the TV is hidden behind the glass and it looks like a standard mirror. When turned on you can see the TV screen clearly through the glass.'

For a similar set up to the one pictured you will need to call in a professional installation company such as Homeplay. tv, who kitted out this particular room.

How can I have a TV in my bedroom?

When installing a TV in your bedroom, consider the location first and foremost. There's no point in fitting an attractive looking design if you have to crank your neck to view the content while you're perched up in bed. You can mount it on the wall using specialised brackets, placed it on a TV unit and use cable ties to make the space tidy or hide it in a bespoke fitted wardrobe.

How can I decide the best TV size for my bedroom?

'As a general rule, it's recommended that you divide the viewing distance by 2.5, which will give you the best size TV,' says Katrina Mills, TV & AV buyer at John Lewis.

'But that said, there is no such thing as a perfect size and it is completely up to you. If you like a large television, go for it!'

TV in the bedroom - 100 photos of unusual combinations

Now every house has a TV, and in most cases not in the singular. For some, this attribute is simply irreplaceable, while others use it much less frequently.

In this article we will take a closer look at the correct selection and installation of a TV in the bedroom.

This task is not as simple as it might seem at first glance. There are many different factors to consider here.

Modern TV models, due to their shape, appearance and size, act not only as TV signal receivers, but also as decoration for the room.

Plasma technology can easily fit into a modern interior and complement it. Flat TVs in the bedroom on the wall make the room more modern.

With the help of design ideas, the plasma TV, which was created with the latest technology, can be successfully adapted to a retro style, frame the TV in a picture frame or disguise it in any other way, such as installing a TV cabinet in the bedroom.

This white paper features photos of a TV in a bedroom showing various installation options.

It is worth noting that experts do not recommend installing a TV in the bedroom if people living in the house have problems sleeping. It is also not advised to spend a lot of time watching TV.

If the bedroom is small, it is best to refrain from installing a TV at all, because a large number of appliances, especially in a small space, negatively affects the quality of sleep and rest.

TV installation. Tips and Regulations

If you decide to fix the appliance to the wall and the weight of the TV receiver is more than 25 kilograms, then the installation cannot be carried out alone. It is not recommended to carry out such work without proper skills. Hanging a TV on the wall in the bedroom should be a specialist.

Before attaching the TV to a structure, make sure that it can support the weight of the unit.

Remember, first we hang the TV on the wall in the bedroom and only then we connect all the cables.

It is necessary to show the process of installing a TV in a room where air circulation occurs.

According to safety rules, all wires must be free, without tension, otherwise there is a high probability of a short circuit.

When installing the TV, leave enough space around the equipment so that you can connect additional equipment: video set-top box, audio system, player, etc.

It is currently popular to install a TV in a niche in the bedroom. But this is possible only with plasma, thin models. With this installation method, free space in the room is significantly saved.

The most common place for a TV set is in the bedroom in front of the bed. Thus, you can enjoy your favorite programs and movies before going to bed or simply relax in bed after work.

It is worth considering the fact that the larger the screen size, the more from the eyes it should be. The description of the model should contain information regarding the optimal distance of the TV from the viewer.

Only in the correct ratio, the harm to vision will be minimal, and the quality of the picture will be maximum.

Many people wonder what is the best height for a bedroom TV? There are several factors to consider here. First of all, the height depends on the viewing location.

If you are going to watch TV while seated, it is best to set the TV receiver low. In order to choose the optimal solution, the specialists developed a universal scheme for the height of the TV in the bedroom: the third upper part of the screen must be located opposite the viewer's eyes.

A television is often found in the bedroom. Many people like to watch their favorite movies without getting out of bed. In order for this technique to harmoniously fit into the interior and not harm your health, you should carefully consider how to place it in the bedroom.

Review content:

Do you need a TV in the bedroom?

Whether or not you need a TV in the bedroom is up to you. Having a TV in the bedroom is justified for at least one reason. Often the bedroom is not only a place to sleep, but also a full-fledged rest room, especially if several people live in the house. Therefore, the presence of a TV in the bedroom allows each of the residents of the house to watch what he likes, without violating the personal boundaries and peace of the neighbors in the apartment.

Is it harmful to hang a TV in the bedroom?

Doctors say that modern televisions do not emit harmful rays, as was the case with older devices. However, watching movies or programs on a TV or monitor for too long can be detrimental to vision.

In order to protect your eyes, doctors advise you to follow a few recommendations:

Only install the TV in a bedroom spacious enough to be able to place it away from the eyes.

Make sure that the TV does not interfere with healthy sleep.

Achieve your average daily TV viewing rate. On average, a person should spend no more than three hours a day in front of a screen. If your work is connected with a computer, this noma is reduced to 1.5-2 hours.

How to choose a TV for the bedroom

When deciding which TV to choose for the bedroom, you should consider several parameters:

It is worth noting that the worse the quality of the image on the screen, the farther from the eyes it should be. For example, if you buy a TV with a diagonal of 50 inches, you can watch 720p video on it from a distance of 2.92m, but 1080p from 1.98m.

It should also be taken into account that the eyes get tired as much as possible in direct contact with the screen, if you watch TV at an angle, for example, while lying on the bed, your eyes will strain less.

How high should the TV hang?

Ophthalmologists advise placing the TV at a height of 1.2-1.3 m. The height of the TV in the bedroom on the wall is measured from the floor to the center of the screen.

You can also determine a comfortable height yourself. To do this, you need to lie on the bed, close your eyes and open them, look at the wall in front of you. The place where your eye falls first of all is where you need to hang the TV on the wall in the bedroom. The selected point will be centered on the screen. A bracket must be attached to this place.

TV sockets in the bedroom should ideally be located slightly above the center of the screen so as not to interfere with the bracket.

Mounting the TV arm

When buying a TV arm, you need to consider its load capacity and adjustability. The adjustable tilt angle of the LCD panel and the ability to move it along the wall will make it convenient for people of different heights to watch TV, and such a TV can also be watched not only from a bed, but, for example, from an armchair.

When installing the bracket, you need to consider what furniture will be under the TV. There should be 25 cm or more between the bottom of the screen and, for example, a chest of drawers.

Show TV or put it on?

The TV in the bedroom in front of the bed is the classic and most comfortable solution for the bedroom. Mounted on a support and suspended on a bracket, TVs have their drawbacks and advantages.

The bracket saves a lot of space in the room and prevents it from being accidentally dropped. The latter is especially important if there are small children in the house.

At the same time, the bracket will leave unattractive holes in the wall if you want to move the TV to another place.

When choosing a place for equipment, make sure that it is far away from other devices operating from the network.

Sunlight can cause strong glare and interfere with TV viewing. Also, the sun adversely affects the technique. Try to place the TV in a place protected from direct sunlight.

Another way to position the TV in the bedroom

If you decide not to have a TV on the wall in the bedroom, consider other options that the designers offer:

The TV in the bedroom can be hidden in an alcove. This option allows you to hide the mount and sockets from the eyes. Aesthetically, a TV in a niche looks more organic than just hanging on the wall. It is worth remembering that for the operation of equipment it needs air. The distance from the walls of the niche should not be less than 15cm.

TV in the bedroom can be located in the closet. Modern furniture is often equipped with a special niche or shelf for a large TV. Appliances can stand in the TV compartment on the wall for the bedroom. In the corner cabinets, you can hide the TV, if necessary, behind the radius facade. There are even wardrobes, so beloved by designers, in which a TV is built in.

In studio apartments, a partition often separates the sleeping area from the living area. It can also include a TV.

You can always go the most classic way and put the TV on a nightstand or chest of drawers in the bedroom.

Design Tips

The design of a bedroom with a TV is slightly different from that of a regular bedroom. Since most often the TV is in a conspicuous place, it is worth listening to a few practical tips so that it fits seamlessly into the overall style of the room.

The wall where the TV will be placed can be made accent. For this, an unusual finish or lighting around the equipment is suitable.

For ultra-modern interiors, ultra-thin screens with no bezels or very thin metallic bezels are suitable. In a classic interior, TVs with wider black bezels or picture-frame-like bezels look good.

TV in different styles of bedrooms

If your TV does not look like a picture, it will stand out from the general style of a classic pompous interior. In such interiors, it is better to hide the TV in a closet or behind special panels. The same situation with bedrooms in the style of Provence and Art Nouveau.

TV is an integral part of modern interiors. In this design, the TV can be placed any way and anywhere.

In the loft bedroom, not only do you not need to hide the TV, but rather emphasize it. For example, with backlight. By the way, the height of the TV in such a bedroom can be absolutely any. It can be placed even at a height of half a meter above the floor, if the bed is a low podium or generally just a high mattress right on the floor.

The thin black rectangle of the TV is perfect for minimalist interiors. Clear geometric shapes will be repeated in the forms of furniture and appliances.

TV area design

The design of the TV area can be dictated by two opposing principles.

The situation when the TV needs to be hidden as much as possible. Modern televisions have become so thin that it has become quite easy to hide them. The TV can be hidden behind the panels in the closet, these panels can rotate, swing open or move apart. There are also designer models of chests of drawers, from which the TV leaves, rising up.

If the TV is in plain sight, you can play it up by placing it on a wall painted in an accent color, stone, brick or mosaic. Mirrors or LEDs can be placed around the TV.

Wall decoration with TV

If you don't know how to play with the TV zone, take inspiration from the photo of the TV in the bedroom on the Internet.

If a real or decorative fireplace is located in the bedroom, it should be organically combined with the TV. Most often, the fireplace is located just opposite the bed. Therefore, it is logical that the LCD panel is hung directly above the mantelpiece.

If the TV is hung on an empty wall, it can stand out from the overall picture of the bedroom. This is especially noticeable if the size does not correspond in proportion to the width of the wall.

A decorative baguette will help to correct the imbalance. With its help, you can select a rectangular area around the TV and make it part of the composition on the wall.

If the TV is placed on a low cabinet, the large free space above it leaves a feeling of emptiness and incompleteness. In this case, it would be advisable to hang shelves above the TV on which to place books and decorative items.

TV set in standard bedroom

Standard bedroom area in Russia is usually about 12 square meters. This area allows both to place the TV in front of the bed, and with its help and with the help of furniture, divide the bedroom into an office area and a sleep area.

TV in a small bedroom

Small screens look organic in small bedrooms. A TV that is too big can make a room look smaller. It is best to hang it on a bracket or put it on a chest of drawers, which will not only serve as a stand, but also as a storage system.

TV in the master bedroom

The spacious bedroom provides room for designer imagination. The TV in such a bedroom can be located anywhere and be large enough. Do not get too carried away and create a second living room with a sofa, armchairs and a home theater. The bedroom is primarily a place to sleep and rest.

TV set in a child's bedroom

It is worth mentioning right away that doctors do not recommend installing a TV set in a small child's room. This will once again encourage him to watch cartoons, which may negatively affect his vision and development.
