Detailed Installation Instructions

Easy Up Tracks and Clips for Tiles and Planks

Easy Up tracks and clips are used to install surface mount ceiling tiles or Country Classic Planks to joists or an existing ceiling. The system provides greater strength and stability and eliminates messy glue or tile lipping caused by warped furring strips. See detailed instructions for Country Classic Planks and 12" x 12" tiles.

Intermediate: Use more advanced tools, such as circular saws, table saws and leveling devices.

Adhesive

Surface mount mineral fiber tiles and planks can be installed using an appropriate adhesive (not sold by Armstrong). Please follow adhesive manufacturer's instructions for your installation.  

Also appropriate for vertical wall installation of WoodHaven planks.

Products with sag and humidity resistance maintain a flat, attractive ceiling surface in areas prone to moisture.

 

Standard: Appropriate for climate controlled interior spaces.

 

Superior (HumiGuard Plus): Appropriate for non-climate controlled interior spaces. Ceiling panels with HumiGuard Plus performance maintain superior sag resistance and are recommended for areas subject to high humidity.

 

Superior (Inherent): Some ceiling panels will naturally maintain a flat, attractive surface due to their material type.

Mold/Mildew Resistance

Products with mold and mildew resistance inhibit the growth of mold and mildew on the ceiling tile.

 

Standard: Appropriate for climate controlled interior spaces.

 

Superior (BioBlock): Appropriate for non-climate controlled interior spaces. Ceiling panels with BioBlock performance have a paint coating specially treated to resist the growth of mold and mildew.

 

Superior (Inherent): Some ceiling panels naturally resist mold and mildew due to their material type.
