The barrel-shaped NutriBullet feels like it could star in its own online series, perhaps titled “Will It Juice?” The 3-inch-wide feeding chute invites you to throw in apple halves and whole carrots that announce their transformation into juice with a low rumble. Plus, the moderately priced juicer’s useful accessories and dishwasher-safe parts make it a lot more likely that you’ll actually start juicing and make fresh juice a part of your daily routine.

The oversized chute, useful accessories and ease of cleaning make the NutriBullet Juicer Pro a strong choice if you’re new to juicing or looking for value. It was one of the simplest to set up and break down, and it yielded delicious carrot and kale juice.

The NutriBullet, which was surprisingly the lightest model we tested at 6.9 pounds, stacks together as quickly and intuitively as a Lego brick wall. You simply stack the plastic pieces, then snap on a small metal loop that keeps everything in place. The 27-ounce juice pitcher has measurement markings and a snug-fitting lid with a froth separator. The NutriBullet comes with an equally well-thought-out set of accessories, including a pair of lidded glass containers and two sets of freezer trays that can be used for smoothies.
The juicer offers three settings — low, high and turbo — designed to work from soft to harder fruits and veggies. While all of the speeds produced juice rapidly, the turbo setting did an effective job of grinding up leafy greens, ginger and carrot. The orange juice was full-bodied, and the carrot juice was a brilliant color with a nice undercurrent of sweetness.
The NutriBullet Juicer Pro comes with a full selection of useful accessories, including a pair of freezer trays for smoothies and two storage containers for the fridge.
Jonathan Bender/CNN UnderscoredThe NutriBullet shined when it came time to break it down. It was the quickest model to clean up. A rinse in the sink and a bit of scrubbing to get pulp off the stainless steel sieve before everything but the base went into the dishwasher was all it took.
While the NutriBullet wasn’t as heavy as some of the other models we tested, its height meant there was not room to use the tamper under my standard height kitchen cabinets and it had to be placed toward the front of my counters. It also took some coaxing to position the top of the juice container with the juice spout, although once in place all of the juice was caught in the container below.
The NutriBullet could grind through leafy greens, though it’s so loud on the turbo setting that it is difficult to have a conversation, and the resulting juice was a bit foamy. The pulp was also wetter than the masticating juicers we tested.
While it seems well built and we don’t have immediate concerns, the NutriBullet has just a one-year limited warranty, which may be a drawback if you’re thinking about your juicer as a long-term investment.

---|---|---|---|
What we loved about it | The quietest model we tested was easy to set up and break down. This juicer, with a 10-year warranty on the motor (and two-year warranty on parts), produced clean, delicious juice because of a clever screen design. | The affordable juicer assembles quickly and comes with useful accessories like glass juice containers and freezer trays. The oversized chute and dishwasher-safe parts make juicing and cleanup a lot easier. | The compact, budget-friendly juicer produced bright juice with brilliant color. Three different filters give you options for pulp if you like a bit more body in your orange juice. |
What we didn’t like about it | You’ll be spending a lot of time with this juicer, prepping ingredients and washing parts by hand. It’s also the heaviest model we tested at just over 18 pounds. | The vegetable juice was a bit foamy and the pulp is wetter than masticating juicers. The juicer, which was loud enough to make it hard to have a conversation on the turbo setting, also only has a one-year limited warranty. | The small feed chute means plenty of prep work, lots of peeling and chopping before the juicing can start. Leafy greens occasionally got stuck in the chamber, and juice tended to drip on the counter during disassembly. |

- Verdict
While I’m a big fan of Nutribullet blenders, I’m not really impressed with the Nutribullet Juicer Pro nor its 800-watt sibling. An internal pulp collection system is a no-go for me, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
Except for Juice Fountain Compact, most modern centrifugal juice extractors that I have reviewed comes with a massive pulp bin. It’s quite handy for juicing large quantities of juice, and it won’t give you a huge headache during cleanup.
The only reason that I’m going to recommend this product is if you’re thinking of getting the Juice Fountain Compact. If that’s your case, then the Nutribullet Juicer has the upper hand. You won’t have to buy any consumables with it as it doesn’t need a filter bag.
I’m really hoping that the brand will release a new juicer with a better design.
In the meantime, here are the two variants of the Nutribullet Juicer.

As you can tell, the Nutribullet Juicer Pro is bigger, more powerful and comes with extra accessories. However, if you already have a juice container at home, I believe getting the Nutribullet Juicer variant is a more practical choice.
Moving on, let’s take a look at its pros and cons.
PROS
- Affordable product
- Contemporary design
- 3-inch feeding chute
- 27oz easy pour airtight pitcher
- Multiple speed levels
- The pro variant comes with a pair of to-go bottles and freezer trays
- Dishwasher safe
- BPA-free
- 1-year warranty
CONS
- A bit loud
- When the pulp basin is full, you need to disassemble the whole thing before you can continue juicing
- 24-hour juice shelf life
Features
Is Nutribullet Juicer easy to use?
In terms of user-friendliness, I’ll give the Nutribullet Juicer a 3/5.
Here’s why:
As I’ve mentioned earlier, It doesn’t have a pulp ejection system. Apart from Breville Juice Fountain Compact and Acme Supreme Juicerator, all modern juicers come with an external pulp bin.
Having that feature will make your juicing routine way easier. You can juice as much as you can without pausing to discard the pulp. Plus, if your juicer has an external bin, you can place a compostable bag in it to collect all the pulp. That’s supposedly one less part to wash.
Anyhow, at least it doesn’t have a consumable filter cloth like the Juice Fountain Compact or Acme Juicerator.
Is it easy to clean?
This section is also dependent on Nutribullet Juicer’s usability. So, it’s proper to give it an average rating in terms of aftercare. On top of the filter basket, which accumulates fiber and residue, the pulp basin is where you’ll spend the most time cleaning.
I don’t really understand why they designed it to be like that. The only way you could remove the pulp is to scoop it with your hands. It’s something that they need to improve on in the next release of their flagship juicer.
As a redeeming factor, most of its detachable parts are dishwasher safe. The only components that you have to deal with manually are the motor base and food pusher.
See the Nutribullet Juicer Pro in action:
Don’t take my word for it, here’s a video demo of the Nutribullet Juicer Pro from Angela.
Nutribullet Juicer is a centrifugal juice extractor with multiple speed levels. It’s an excellent machine for extracting juice from dense fruits and vegetables, and as well as citruses. The pro variant comes with a 27oz (30 ml) sealable pitcher and freezer trays. Nutribullet Juicer is one of the most affordable juicing machines on the market.
Juice Quality
Centrifugal juicers like the Nutribullet Juicer Pro fall behind when it comes to juice extraction efficiency and nutrient retention. If you have the budget, I would highly recommend getting any of these cold-press juicers.
Juice extracted by a high-speed juicer has a shelf life of 24 hours. On the other hand, you can store cold-pressed juice for up to three days. And this is all due to oxidation.
You see, the high revolutions per minute (RPM) of centrifugal juicers introduce a lot of air into your juice. This high-speed process breaks down nutrients that bind with oxygen. It’s similar to how you peel an apple. It will turn brown after a few seconds of being exposed to air.
In theory, the best way to take advantage of a juice’s full nutritional value—as far as centrifugal juicing machines are concerned—is to drink it right away.
What Kinds of Produce can the Nutribullet Juicer Process?
The tri-speed Nutribullet Juicer Pro and the dual-speed Nutribullet Juicer are best for processing dense produce and citruses. You can add a little bit of greens, but it won’t yield as much as a slow juicer.
Watermelon, turmeric, cilantro, pumpkin, pear, cauliflower, cucumber, garlic, bitter gourd, yakon, fennel, asparagus, sweet potato, pepper, celery, broccoli, carrots, ginger, apple, beets and pineapple, are some examples of dense fruits and veggies.
It will also work really well for citruses like lemon, orange, tangerine, mandarin, grapefruit and lime. For best results, you need to remove the rinds and seeds.

Is Nutribullet Juicer worth it?
At this time, I’m not giving my seal of approval for the Nutribullet Juicer. It’s a promising product, but it’s missing a pulp bin. As an alternative, here are some excellent centrifugal juicers with an external pulp ejection system.

Overview of Nutribullet blenders - the pros and cons of different models
Healthy eating is becoming increasingly popular. The acclaimed Nutribullet blenders first appeared in TV commercials and are touted as a miraculous health-promoting machine that can turn ordinary fruits and vegetables into superfoods. nine0003
While some of these slogans were too big, Nutribullet's user-friendly design and high performance made these blenders increasingly popular. We decided to try out some Nutribullet models to see if they live up to the hype around them.

What is Nutribullet and what can it do?
Nutribullet are the most commonly used blenders for making smoothies. But they can also make sauces, salad dressings, and smoothies. nine0003
While traditional blenders have a large jar with a lid that sits on top of the base, Nutribullet has a bowl that snaps into the base to activate the blender.
Basic models have only one speed and no buttons or controls, making them easy to operate. Once your smoothie is mixed, you can drink straight from the mixing cup, reducing dishwashing time.
Minimalistic design, convenient accessories and glasses for an active lifestyle - these essential tools reduce the time of preparation, cleaning and collection to a minimum. nine0003
Which Nutribullet should I buy?
In our review of Nutribullet blenders, the experts of our kitchen laboratory tested some models, the description of which and the main characteristics can be found on the official website https://nutribullet.ru - these are samples of Pro 1000, Pro 1200, Select 1200, Magic Bullet Plus and Blender Combo 1200.
We tested them for performance and key features, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each model. Our review rates the ease of use and effectiveness of mixing or making a smoothie with various ingredients. nine0003
Nutribullet Pro 1200 and Pro 1000
Nutribullet Pro 1200 and Pro 1000 look almost the same. The main difference lies in their power (wattage).
The Pro 1000 and Pro 1200 models are three cup single speed blenders. Both models can puree and crush frozen fruit and ice, but cannot crush dry ingredients.
Our experts concluded that the 1200W model is slightly more powerful than the 1000W model, but interestingly, this does not result in a performance increase. They got the same results for soft frozen smoothies, green smoothies, and ice. nine0003
But the more powerful Pro 1200 actually performed significantly worse in our cabbage test, which evaluates how it handles fibrous vegetables. In addition, the Pro 1200 is also slightly heavier and louder than the Pro 1000.
Nutribullet Select 1000
The Nutribullet Select 1000 is a step up from the Pro in terms of features - it has three different speed settings and a vented mixing jug warm liquids. Nutribullet Select 1000 is equipped with control buttons. nine0003
It performed almost exactly the same as the Pro line for smoothies and ice, but scored far less than the Pro 1000 in the cabbage test. Unlike the entry-level Nutribullets, the Select 1000 is equipped with control buttons that our experts say make it easier to use the technique.
There are two speed settings as well as an extraction mode that alternates pulses with continuous mixing to achieve a uniform result. There's also an on-off switch, which is a bit more convenient than the traditional design. nine0003
Nutribullet Magic Bullet Plus
The Nutribullet Magic Bullet Plus is an enlarged version of the original Nutribullet with a separate soup jug.
It's great for making raw vegetable soup, blending soft foods, crushing ice and making green smoothies. It is also very good for chopping carrots and parmesan, as well as chopping nuts (using a medium-sized cup).
Nutribullet Magic Bullet Plus performed well in our kale test and poor in nut butter making. It also makes a lot of noise when using high speed mode. nine0003
Nutribullet Blender Combo NBF-50500
The Nutribullet Blender Combo NBF-50500 allows you to switch between serving cups and a large mixing jar, allowing you to switch between single serving cups and a larger mixing jar.
This blender model has a low, medium and high speed as well as a pulse function. It also has an "extraction" mode, which Nutribullet claims "this super smart program will automatically mix, pulse and do the work to create the perfect smoothie." nine0003
It performed great in crushing ice (although it is not recommended to crush ice before using ice and frozen fruit in drinks - add liquids first) and in our soft frozen smoothie and green smoothie tests using extraction mode.
Nutribullet Blender Combo NBF-50500 performs well when blending cabbage and strawberry sherbet. He struggled to make nut butter and was on the verge of crushing carrots. It works well, easy to use, but very noisy when processed at high speed. nine0003
Verdict: Should I buy Nutribullet?
Our testing has shown that Nutribullet blenders really make good smoothies, easily processing fresh and frozen fruits, as well as vegetables such as cucumber, celery and green spinach. These features justify the high price.
But our experts also found that the Pro 1200, Select 1200 and Combo NBF-50500 did not blend coarser vegetables well, and all models (except the Combo NBF-50500 which performed excellently) performed poorly in the ice crush test. nine0003
Unlike some other disposable blenders, the Nutribullet can only mix ice if there is liquid in the jar. These results may give some people pause before they give away their hard-earned money. That being said, they have no problem handling frozen ingredients in cocktails.
One serving vs full size
While the compact size per serving was part of the original Nutribullet's unique appeal, the brand has now expanded to include full size blenders in its range. nine0003
Nutribullet Blender Combos come with a full size jug as well as signature Nutribullet cups so you can switch between single serving blending and high capacity blending. The full-size jug is capable of mixing hot ingredients, so it's useful if you want to mix soup for the whole family.
You might expect a smaller blender to be quieter, but we've found that most one-shot blenders tend to be just as loud as their full-sized counterparts. nine0003
Nutribullet Pro 1200, Select 1200 and Blender Combo NBF-50500 were particularly noisy. In contrast, the Pro 1000 was the quietest blender in our test.
What else should I consider before buying?
Can I make juice in Nutribullet?
No, unless you have a Nutribullet NBJ07100 juicer. Nutribullet is often compared to juicers, but Nutribullet blenders work very differently. While the juicer extracts the liquid from fruits and vegetables and discards the pulp, the Nutribullet grinds the entire fruit or vegetable. nine0003
Can I mix hot liquids in Nutribullet?
For most models, it is better not to do this. It may be tempting to make a quick soup in the Nutribullet, but most models are not capable of handling hot liquids.
Mixing hot liquids in a Nutribullet cup is dangerous. The cups are sealed so there is nowhere for pressure and heat to escape, which can cause the hot liquid to burst out of the blender and cause serious injury.
Nutribullet Select 1200 and Magic Bullet Plus come with a vented jug, which means they are capable of handling hot foods such as soup. But you still need to let the liquid cool before mixing. nine0003
Can nuts and seeds be crushed?
Some models only. The Nutribullet Blender Combo NBF-50500 comes with a grinding cup and while it doesn't do a great job of making nut butter, it does a great job of grinding almonds.
Alternatively, if you want to use Nutribullet to mix dry ingredients such as nuts, seeds and herbs, you will need to purchase either the 600 Series or the 9 Series00 - and pay extra for the grinding attachment.
How long do Nutribullets last?
Nutribullet blenders come with a one year warranty, but the company recommends blade replacement every six months. Our experts stressed that limiting mixing to one minute and washing Nutribullet by hand can prolong its life.
