“There’s a magical majesty to it,” Kim Cattrall says of the Pacific Northwest landscape, framed as it is with mountains, a wind-tousled sea, and storybook thickets of Douglas firs and red cedars. It’s part of what enchants her about Vancouver Island and prompted her to buy a house here. Kim was born in Liverpool, but grew up on Vancouver Island about 40 minutes from this house. Buying the property is like coming full circle. “I never thought in my wildest dreams about coming back to the home I grew up in — when you’re young, you’re so busy trying to make your ripple. But when I sat here, I thought, ‘This feels right,’” she says.
The Canadian actress still has an apartment in Manhattan, and a beach house in the Hamptons, but this house draws her back to her private life most acutely — buying the house finally felt like putting down roots. When she’s not jet-setting or filming Sensitive Skin, a dark comedy series (on Netflix, HBO Canada and iTunes), this Vancouver home is where she likes to spend weeks at a time hiking, enjoying nature and spending time with family and friends.

Kim’s living room is cozy and relaxed with pops of red. She took the photographs above the sofa on a recent trip to Alert Bay. Overlooking it all is Cornelius, the moose head Kim rescued from The Door Store in Toronto. “I saw that the fur on his nose was getting thinner because people kept touching it. And I thought, ‘This noble head needs a home!’ Whenever I see him, he makes me smile.”
In the dining area, understated furniture in simple shapes and natural wood suits the rustic setting.
In what Kim calls the Eagle’s Nest, a neutral palette lets the view shine. Kim has her morning cup of tea here, in the company of sea lions. “They sound like 600 barking dogs,” she says.
Kim found much of the First Nations artwork at a shop on a reservation in the Comox Valley.
The button blanket by Reynold Collins is one of the pieces that brings a vibrance and energy, and demonstrate Kim’s desire to reflect the area. “I wanted to bring in as many Canadian designers and artists — whether it was the gentleman in Victoria who made the doors, or the First Nations artists, or local accents,” she says of her design philosophy.
Fur throws, rustic blankets and traditional handwoven baskets bring texture and warmth to the bedroom. Vintage kilim pillows add color, while an antique trunk lends storage at the foot of the bed.
The guest house also has a waterfront view and offers visitors their own private space.
The wildness of the landscape is what most appealed to Kim about the property. She calls this tangle of branches The Dragon because it looks like it has a head and wings.
Made of canvas-wrapped poles, the tepee sleeps four and serves as both a cozy lounging space and a stand-alone sculptural piece; in the winter, Kim removes the canvas and leaves the bouquet of poles standing.

Located in Gardiner’s Bay, the home offer’s unobstructed views across the water, all the way to Gardiners Island. The home includes two bedrooms and a large studio. However, there are plenty of quirks in this cozy one-storey dwelling.
The heart of the home is the L-shaped living room fitted with a motorised movie screen and a projector, to transform it into a screening room. Kim Cattrall has contrasted the natural wood finish of the home with striking furniture designs, and colourful works of art.

One of our favorite pieces in her collection is the pop-art style portrait of the owner herself located in the roomy studio. The terracotta colors, with flashes of blue work beautifully with the neutral color scheme.

The bedroom, located above the living room can be reached by a ladder. While this room might look rustic, it is anything but.
The bedroom is fitted out with a walk-in wardrobe and a double bed.
It is no wonder that this bedroom is a favorite of the famous owner. Two skylights provide views of the stars at night. While the floor to ceiling windows to the left the room offers views out across the water during the day.

Kim Cattrall was born on August 21, 1956 in a suburb of Liverpool in the most ordinary family. Her father Dennis worked in construction and her mother Shane was a housewife. In search of new opportunities for earning money, the family emigrated to Canada, but did not last long there.

Kim Cattrall has been married three times. Her first husband was Larry Davis, whose marriage broke up four years later. The second husband of the actress was Andre Leeson, with whom she lived for only two years, but the third marriage turned out to be the most durable.
Kim lived with Mark Levinson until 2004, but, oddly enough, broke up because of Sex and the City. The star spent a lot of time on the set and rarely appeared at home, so the husband decided to file for divorce and find a more "home" companion. Kim Cattrall has no children, and in one of the interviews she even stated that she was childfree.

Despite turning down the Sex and the City sequel, Kim has plenty of work to do. The celebrity has released two books, "Find Yourself" and "Dossier on Sexuality", and also continues to actively act in both TV series and films for the big screen. In 2020, Kim delighted fans by appearing in the lead role in the drama series Extremely Rich. The actress goes in for sports every other day. Usually these are cardio workouts 3-4 times a week.
Since Cattrall had physical injuries in the past, she also performs physical yoga exercises - this is a direction in fitness that combines elements of yoga and physiotherapy exercises, the purpose of which is to rehabilitate the body. If she fails to fully work out, the actress goes for a long walk on foot.
Skincare
Moisturizers are at the heart of Cattrall's care. According to the actress, she managed to find a very good dermatologist who was able to choose cosmetics for her hypersensitive skin. Cattrall likes exfoliators - she pays special attention to skin cleansing. The actress also does not leave the house without applying sunscreen. During the day, she does not wear "heavy" makeup - just a few products that allow the skin to breathe freely.
