Was it worth it? And what are the differences.” Last time I wrote a review about a mattress that did not fit due to excessive firmness, where I mentioned that we exchanged it. So here we will talk about the mattress, on which we made a replacement.
Let me remind you that initially they were looking for a non-soft mattress, my weight is 55 kg, my husband's weight is 100 kg.
Hillestad mattress took 160×200 for 22000 rubles. The color of the mattress is all white, unlike some mattresses with gray sides.
This mattress is taller than -27 cm, but surprisingly I did not notice much difference with the previous one.
The top coat is soft and pleasant to the touch. The mattress has a block of independent springs, which allows you not to feel when someone is tossing and turning next to you. Before that, they slept on an ordinary spring bed, it felt like that when the cat jumped, but now you can spin and not interfere with each other.
Ikea provides two versions of Hillestad - hard and medium hard. Despite the negative experience with a very hard mattress, we still opted for a harder one, rather than a medium one.
Rigid version with polyurethane memory foam. The middle one is a layer of latex.
Both options are available on the sales floor. I lay down on both, the sensations are as follows:
- Hard. When you lie down, there is a slight immersion effect, the body seems to sink slightly into the mattress.
- Medium. On the contrary, the feeling of being pushed out, the mattress springs, when you toss and turn, you feel instability, like on a water mattress. For me, it seemed like jelly. I don’t remember exactly, but it seems the latex is natural there, which means faster wear, which is also not in his favor.
! Both mattresses in the room feel soft, but they are not. The new mattress is quite hard!
So, what is the advantage of a replacement mattress if it is also hard?
