Dyson is a British manufacturer specializing in vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, fans, and hand and hair dryers. They offer a broad selection of stick/handheld vacuums but have also developed canister vacuums and more conventional uprights. Regardless of design, they all feature Dyson's proprietary cyclone technology, eliminating the need for a dirtbag.

The best Dyson vacuum we've tested is the Dyson V15 Detect. This cordless stick/handheld vacuum's headlining feature is its built-in dirt sensor, which counts and measures the size of particles sucked into the vacuum. It could be especially helpful if you suffer from allergies and want to know about the presence of fine particles in your home. Its surface detection system also enables it to automatically change its suction power depending on the surface that it's on. It also comes with a wide selection of attachments, including a soft-roller floorhead with a laser light to help you see small debris on bare surfaces. Its powerful 230AW motor allows for superb cleaning performance on a range of surfaces. However, its strong suction force can also cause it to drag around some lighter rugs.
Its maximum runtime of over 70 minutes will be enough for cleaning most rooms, but this drops to a little over 10 minutes when used in its most powerful suction mode. If you're looking for a cordless vacuum with a larger dustbin and similar performance, you might want to consider the Dyson Outsize, which is also one of the best Dyson stick vacuums we've tested. However, it's important to note that its bulkier size makes it more of a hassle to maneuver.

If you're looking for the best cordless Dyson vacuum at a mid-range price point, look at the Dyson V12 Detect Slim. Its suction motor is less powerful than the pricier Dyson V15 Detect, so it falls slightly behind in terms of deep cleaning performance. That said, it is noticeably cheaper and shares many of the same features. It uses the same built-in particle sensor as the V15, allowing you to keep tabs on allergen levels within your home, and comes with a secondary floorhead with a laser light to help you see fine debris on hard floors. However, unlike the latter, it's also capable of automatically ramping up its suction power when it encounters an area with a high concentration of debris. It's also smaller and lighter than the V15, making it even easier to maneuver in cluttered areas.
Unfortunately, its dustbin is also on the smaller side and will likely require frequent emptying. If you want a mid-priced Dyson vacuum with a higher-capacity dustbin, you could also consider the Dyson V11. That said, it's heavier and less maneuverable than the V12 and lacks the latter's debris-sensitive power adjustment capability.

Generally speaking, Dyson vacuums aren't known for being especially cheap. Still, if you don't need the latest and greatest models in the company's lineup, there are deals to be found. Consider the Dyson V8, the best cordless Dyson vacuum we've tested at a budget-friendly price. Unlike the newer Dyson V12 Detect Slim or Dyson V15 Detect, it isn't capable of automatically adjusting its suction power and lacks an onboard dirt sensor. However, it delivers fantastic performance on flat surfaces and does a very good job on carpet. It also doesn't weigh as much as most new Dyson models, making it easier to pick up and carry from room to room or maneuver around various obstacles. There's no suction release gate to help improve maneuverability on carpets, but there are two different power modes to suit different surface types.
However, battery life isn't particularly impressive, as you can only expect a maximum of about 40 minutes of runtime in its default power mode. Running it in its 'MAX' mode drains its battery in a little under 10 minutes, so you need to be quick when dealing with stubborn messes.

If you aren't convinced by Dyson's cordless offerings, check out the Dyson Ball Animal 3, as it's the best Dyson vacuum for pet hair we've tested. It isn't nearly as maneuverable as any model in Dyson's extensive cordless stick vacuum range and takes up more room when it isn't in use, but its versatile performance and corded design make it a better fit for longer cleaning sessions. Its floorhead features a set of built-in plastic vanes that are remarkably effective in trapping long hair, preventing it from getting tangled in the floorhead mechanism. It also has three levels of surface type adjustment, enabling you to adapt to different surfaces on the fly. The vacuum has a powerful suction motor, resulting in exceptional debris pickup on bare floors and carpet and allowing it to easily clear debris from deep crevices. Also, it has a very long power cord, so you won't have to swap outlets when cleaning bigger areas.
Unfortunately, build quality isn't especially robust, as its mainly plastic construction creaks and flexes slightly while in use. While its redesigned floorhead does allow for superior maneuverability on carpeting compared to the older Dyson Ball Animal 2, it can still get stuck on shag-pile rugs. It's also quite noisy and isn't the best option if you're looking for something well-suited to discrete cleaning.

Compared to other brands
- Virtually no recurring costs. Due to their bagless design, Dyson vacuums incur little cost over extended periods of ownership. Some have filters designed to last the device's lifetime, while others are filterless.
- HEPA filter integration. Dyson's cyclonic technology filters out allergens, which is handy if you have pets or are cleaning a particularly dusty area.
- Good maneuverability across the board. Some Dyson vacuums have a unique ball design that makes it easier to navigate small spaces and rooms.
- Wide array of tools and brushes. Dyson vacuums usually come with a pretty wide selection of specialized tools and brushes, some of which are unique, like the 180-degree pivot extender and dedicated upholstery turbo brushes.
- Plasticky build quality. Dyson vacuums tend to have a mostly plastic construction that some users may perceive as feeling a little cheap.
- Relatively small dirt compartments. Most Dyson vacuums have small dirt compartments, meaning you have to empty them often.
- Somewhat short cordless runtime. Cordless Dyson vacuums have somewhat short battery lives, especially when used on their highest power level setting, which is annoying when trying to clean big messes in larger, more open areas.
- High maintenance requirements. While most Dyson vacuums are easy to take apart and reassemble due to their easy-clip construction, quite a few of their offerings have a pretty long list of parts that need regular cleaning.
Dyson produces a decently large variety of vacuum cleaners that work well on different surfaces, though you can expect to pay a hefty premium for that performance and versatility. Most offerings in their lineup are maneuverable, easy to carry around, and come with a wide variety of brushes. Their build quality is usually quite plasticky, and user maintenance is a little finicky. In comparison, most Shark vacuums feel slightly better built but perform worse on carpeted surfaces. Dyson vacuums tend to be better and more consistent on all surface types than those from BISSELL.

However, they have also developed canister vacuums and conventional uprights. They don't incur any recurring costs due to the implementation of Dyson's cyclonic technology across their lineup, eliminating the need for a dirtbag while also filtering out allergens. Generally, Dyson vacuums are lightweight, maneuverable, and versatile. That said, they usually have a long list of parts to regularly clean, plasticky build quality, and, on cordless models, somewhat limited runtime on high-power modes.

In the world of vacuum cleaners, Dyson vacuums have a strong reputation for offering innovative and colorful designs and great suction power that'll track down even the tiniest pet hairs on your floors. The fully sealed system with washable filters for easy maintenance comes at a price, so we have put a full selection of Dyson vacuum cleaners through testing in The Lab and at home to find the best option for your space.
Dyson's emphasis on capturing dust and allergens is definitely not something to overlook. Dyson's design manager, Josh Mutlow, points out that all Dyson models "are engineered with a six-layered advanced filtration system that captures the dust you can see and 99.97 percent of the microscopic elements of dust you can't see." The filters are designed to capture dust as small as 0.3 microns and are an important feature to consider, since you don't want to breathe in what you're vacuuming up, especially if you have allergies or beloved furry friends.
In our testing, we watched the system work in real life while evaluating each model's setup process, effectiveness, noise level, maneuverability, and emptying process. Our favorite model that's currently available is the Dyson v8 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner. It's very easy to store and assemble and has two powerful suction modes and a motorized cleaning head for deep cleaning all your carpets and rugs.
Here are the best Dyson vacuums on the market as determined by our thorough testing.

What We Don't Like
Who else recommends it? Wirecutter and The Strategist both picked the Dyson v8 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner.
What do buyers say? 91% of 7,500+ Amazon reviewers rated this product 4 stars or above.
Even though Dyson keeps coming out with new technology to better its appliances, the Dyson v8 Animal is still a popular choice. It's our top pick because it blends powerful suction with a slightly more affordable price tag (when compared to other Dyson models). It's also extremely easy to assemble as well as break apart and store away in a closet or laundry room. Mutlow says that "a good vacuum should do four things properly: pick up the dust from the floor, lock the dust inside, expel clean air. All the while ensuring that it does not lose its suction." This vacuum checks off all of those boxes.
This model's motorized cleaning head and brush bar suck up dirt, dander, hair, and other debris from the fibers of carpet and area rugs to give you a deep clean. Its included direct-drive cleaner head is designed with carpeted floors in mind. It pairs the stiff nylon bristles with up to 115AW suction power to deep-clean even high-pile carpets or area rugs. While the Dyson Omni-glide is our pick for hardwood floors, the v8 Animal performs well on hard surfaces, too, making it an excellent pick for anyone with multiple floor types in their home.
As a cordless stick vacuum, this pick is also convenient to use and ideal for daily maintenance or quick cleaning sessions before company arrives. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that provides 40 minutes of run time in standard mode. Just be forewarned that the max mode delivers more power, but it shortens the battery life to under 10 minutes. (Save it for spot-cleaning especially dirty areas.) Like many Dyson cordless stick models, we didn't love that you have to hold down the trigger the whole time you're vacuuming either. This not-super-intuitive feature makes us believe that it wouldn't be a great pick for a large home.
In typical Dyson fashion, the vacuum's design is stunning, and it comes with a wall mount so you can hang it up when it's not in use. We are confident that you'll enjoy using this Dyson vacuum daily.

Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2, Big Performance in a Compact Package
What We Like
Design makes it easy to maneuver
Great at picking up pet hair
Head self-adjusts to carpet height
What We Don't Like
The Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 Upright Vacuum offers reliable performance and powerful suction at a price that won’t break the bank. It doesn’t feature new Dyson innovations like the Dyson v15 Detect+'s laser for counting captured dust particles, and it lacks the ability to convert into a handheld vac, but those are not necessary for basic, everyday cleaning jobs. Instead, it offers a respectable 196AW of suction power. It's well suited for most types of flooring as well. Our product tester found it a chore to use this vacuum on high-pile carpet, noting that it required lots of muscle to keep the vacuum moving. However, all of the effort paid off with a canister full of cat hair, earning the vacuum a 5-star rating for its cleaning effectiveness.
Notably, the upright-style vacuum is quite heavy, but our tester noted that the design keeps the weight from being too problematic. "At 15.6 pounds, the Multi Floor 2 isn’t light, but it’s manageable," said our tester, who used this vacuum in their home. "It helps that it’s bottom-heavy; the majority of the weight is condensed into the ball, so it’s easy to turn with less force, and there’s little risk of it tipping over."
While the vacuum is quite loud, you'll enjoy the whole-machine filtration, as well as the motorized brush bar and self-adjusting cleaner head for effective cleaning on both bare floors and rugs. The washable filter and quick-release dust bin make for easy maintenance, too. Overall, it's a great pick at a great price.

What We Like
What We Don't Like
Upright vacuums are often a go-to option for whole-house cleaning, because they offer larger dust bins and don't run out of power. The Dyson Ball Animal 2 Upright Vacuum will be your favorite sidekick on any cleaning adventure, as it features nimble steering, a 30-foot power cord for plenty of reach, and a 0. 55-gallon dust bin to capture dirt and debris. At 17.5 pounds, it's definitely heavier than some other full-size vacuum cleaners on the market, but it makes up for it with maneuverability. Swivel steering allows the vac to move with you as you tackle messes in every room of your home.
We didn't test this pick in The Lab, but the Dyson Ball Animal 2 has impressive specs, and our home tester found that its effectiveness could not be beaten. The vac offers 227AW of suction power in its boost power mode and can be used on any surface. The active base plate will adjust to maintain suction with solid surface floors or a plush carpet. One downside is the handle can be tricky to lock into place. When putting this vac together, our tester noted that it's best to watch an online video and not rely on an unclear set of instructions. However, you'll ultimately find that it gets the cleaning job done, especially when picking up hair. Our tester gave it 5 stars for effectiveness, maneuverability, and emptying.
"The 'ball' base (made of glass-reinforced polypropylene) that contains the motor makes it easy to maneuver with minimal effort, letting you steer around furniture easily," our tester said after using it in their home. "We also liked that there’s a designated spot on the vacuum body to store the various attachments."

What We Like

Wider cleaning path width
What We Don't Like
Cordless stick vacuum cleaners have become popular for their convenience, but they often have been limited by their battery lives and small dust bins. The Dyson Outsize Cordless Vacuum Cleaner solves all these problems and is a high-power cleaning machine worthy of the hype. This model impressed our tester with its ability to adjust suction power and motor performance depending on floor type. It’s like it does most of the work for you, requiring very little “elbow grease,” according to our insights from The Lab. This can be credited to Dyson’s DSL technology, which increases cleaning effectiveness while conserving battery life.
Digging into the technical specs, you’ll find that the maximum suction power (220AW) of this cordless model nearly matches Dyson’s powerful upright vacuum, the Ball Animal 2, which is no small feat, considering that it weighs less than half. If you’re comparing cordless vacuum cleaners, you’ll also note that, true to its name, the Outsize upsizes its cleaner head. It measures 12.5 inches wide for faster coverage of floors.
It also features interchangeable battery packs, so you can clean more at once. An LED display helps you keep tabs on the life of the battery you're currently using. Notably, it took our product tester under three minutes to assemble, despite the instructions being entirely in text, and the vac performed really well on high-pile carpet, as well. While it's fairly top-heavy and doesn't stand up on its own, we gave it 4.5 stars for its maneuverability.

Pivoting head for easy maneuvering

Dual soft roller cleaner heads
What We Don't Like
Equipped with dual soft roller cleaner heads, four 360-degree casters, and an articulating neck, the Dyson Omni-glide Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner was engineered to do one thing exceptionally well: clean hard-surface floors. Whether you push or pull the vacuum cleaner, the Omni-glide will just slide along, capturing debris and dust in its path.
Our tester was impressed with how easily this vacuum maneuvered under couches, along baseboards, and around kitchen table legs. The flexible neck and in-line design of the vacuum mean that this model can lie flat for cleaning areas with low clearance. You don’t want to underestimate this feature, since dust and hair tend to accumulate under furniture, and most upright vacuums have a bulky design that makes it hard to reach any tight spaces underneath. The only downside to this vac is that it doesn't perform well on carpet. Our tester reported that on max mode it managed to suck up debris from small area rugs, but you wouldn't want to use it on wall-to-wall carpet.
While this Dyson vacuum for cleaning hardwood floors is an expensive option for a single purpose, it’s an excellent choice for homes with many square feet of tile, wood, or laminate flooring. The dust bin on this stick vacuum is rather small, and it’ll require regular emptying, but the push-button operation is a standout feature. Instead of holding a trigger down to activate suction, like you would with Dyson's v8 Animal, simply select the button you'd like to control the operation and mode of this cordless vacuum.
All in all, using it is a true pleasure: "I love reaching for this vacuum daily. It actually glides across the floor as you clean, making the chore feel a little bit more manageable," said our product tester, who used it at home in real-world situations. "It's so fun to dance with it across my kitchen's tile floor, as it sucks up crumbs or along the baseboards in my living room as it clears out pet hair that constantly accumulates."

What We Don't Like
Finding a vacuum that can thoroughly handle carpet, without having hair tangle in the brush bar, is a feat that most people compromise on. However, the Dyson v12 Detect Slim not only prevents hair wrap on all of its motorized attachments, but also sucks up every trace of hair within seconds. Although our tester was less than impressed by this vacuum's suction ability on hard flooring—cue popcorn kernels being spit in every direction—this vacuum had no trouble sucking up Cheerios, popcorn kernels, and hair from carpet. It did take several passes to suck up the larger debris, but that's a common occurrence with most vacuums that generally perform well on carpet.
Aside from its suction power, our tester noted this vacuum's lightweight and compact design, which is 24 percent lighter than the Dyson v15 Detect. It also is powered by a button, so there's no need to consistently pull a trigger to operate it, unlike other Dyson models. The Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head shines a laser onto tiny particles that you might not normally see while cleaning and is composed of soft nylon and anti-static carbon fibers that help remove dust from small gaps and hard flooring. Our tester also appreciated the point-and-shoot dust bin emptying mechanism, but noted that some hair did need to be manually pulled out.
As may be expected, this vacuum's suction power does make it one of the loudest vacuums we tested. Even on auto suction, our tester noted it was incredibly loud and said they would not want to use this vacuum on boost mode for any extended period of time. The LCD screen offers insights into the run time, power countdown, and maintenance needs, but our tester said the instruction manual provided little insight into properly understanding all the features included on the display. Despite these few design concerns, we're overall impressed by this vacuum's suction power for cleaning carpets, especially given the fact that our tester found zero hair wrap on any of the attachments after testing.

What We Like
What We Don't Like
Expensive
Top-heavy design
During a previous test, our testers weren't impressed by the Dyson v15 Detect+ Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, and they said it only performed somewhat well for its hefty price. However, after additional testing, we've grown to love how this model is specifically designed for picking up pet hair while easily transitioning between different flooring types. Our tester said this vacuum sucked up hair from carpet and hard flooring with ease, and she especially loved the hair screw tool, which is designed to pick up hair from upholstery. Like Dyson's other vacuums, this option features a whole-unit filtration system that removes 99.99 percent of particles, dust, and allergens, which is great for households with multiple pets.
Although this vacuum has a relatively average noise level, compared to other vacuums, our tester said it was loud while picking up dog kibble from the floor. However, the LCD display screen reports on dust particle metrics, and the vacuum uses this data to automatically increase suction power as needed, which is an interesting and advanced feature that gives you increased cleaning performance and balanced battery life. Dyson advertises that this vacuum's deep clean brush has three settings to adjust the height of the roller, but our tester said that she could not tell a significant difference in the brush head's cleaning on each setting. However, it still performed well.
An angled laser also makes cleaning hardwood, vinyl, and tile floors much easier, because it detects and shows particles that are otherwise not seen while cleaning. This model is top-heavy, like most cordless stick vacuums, so we recommend storing it on the wall mount. All in all, our tester said this vacuum was a great option for pet hair, but she recommended waiting until it was on sale, since it is quite an investment.

Final Verdict
Our top pick for a Dyson vacuum is the Dyson v8 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner, which is lightweight and easy to use, and handles all types of surfaces well. If you don't need the features and functions of a cordless pick or are sticking to a budget, the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 Upright Vacuum delivers an efficient clean, too, thanks to high-power suction that won’t quit. It also has a quick-release dust bin.
The Spruce / Phoebe Cheong
Dyson Ball Animal 3 Upright Vacuum: Dyson's newest model in the Animal Ball series comes with over nine attachments and has a large bin for catching dirt, dust, and pet hair. (Some of the tools provided are meant to be used directly on pets, too, to remove loose hair, but we did not test these features in The Lab.) Our tester said that she felt overwhelmed trying to set up this vacuum because of the number of pieces and unclear instructions. When put to the test against dog kibble and pet hair, it pushed around the debris rather than sucking it up, and took multiple passes to clean one area completely. Our tester was also surprised by how loud it was and didn't think that it would be suitable for a home with animals that are sensitive to loud noises. Although this newer model may be buzzy now, with its hair-detangling capabilities and pet-specific attachments, we're not sure it would hold up against less-expensive alternatives.
Dyson Humdinger Cordless Handheld Vacuum: Dyson’s smallest vacuum uses the same radial root technology and whole-machine filtration as the brand's larger vacuums. It did make a positive first impression on our testing team, who found it easy to hold and a nice size. However, when put through its paces, the buzz of this cordless handheld vacuum faded fast. It earned a disappointing 3-star rating for effectiveness, since it would only suck up debris when pulled backward. This was a major pain point for our product tester. It spewed larger debris, like popcorn kernels and cereal, on both bare floors and carpeted surfaces. Emptying the dust bin was far from easy, and hands-on help was required to clear debris from the vacuum and brush roll, too. Like the Dyson Ball Animal 3, we expected better performance considering the expensive price tag of this handheld vacuum.
During our multiple vacuum tests, we have tested over 50 vacuums side-by-side in The Lab and at home, many of which have been Dyson picks. To start our lab tests, our testers unbox and complete the setup for each vacuum, timing how long it takes to complete this process and rating how helpful the instructions are. Next, they evaluate each vacuum's effectiveness by using it on low-, medium-, and high-pile carpet and hardwood floors. Each vacuum is tasked with cleaning up measured amounts of hair, popcorn kernels, and Cheerios. During this test, we note how many passes it takes each vacuum to clean up the materials and whether materials get caught in the brush roll. We also consider the vacuum's weight and portability and test durability by dropping the vacuums and taking note of any damage.
Testers note how long cordless models stay charged and how much charge they come with straight out of the box. We gather insights on how each vacuum navigates our living room-inspired obstacle course—which leads to our maneuverability rating—and whether their bins are difficult or easy to empty. Some picks are tested at home, either before or after these vacuum tests, and are brought through real-world environments and situations. They are rated on the same attributes as the vacuums in The Lab. When all is said and done, our editors and writers take the consistently applied testing data, as well as additional research, and boil it down to the Dyson vacuums we believe are the best.

Type
The type of Dyson vacuum you pick depends on your cleaning preferences and lifestyle. The brand keeps things simple with a wide selection of upright and cordless stick vacuums, and a few options for canister and handheld models. When deciding on the type for your household, keep in mind that upright vacuums typically offer the most suction and dust bin capacity. Some cordless models offer as much suction as a full-size upright vacuum and can be better for getting into the tight spots in your home. Usually, lightweight stick vacuums are most ideal for everyday cleanups, while a handheld vac is ideal for spot cleaning.
"Cordless models not only reach tight spaces you’d never be able to access with a corded, upright machine, but you are also achieving the deep clean you need to maintain a clean and healthy home," notes Mutlow. This is particularly true of Dyson models that are equipped with whole-unit filtration systems and powerful suction, like the Dyson v8 Animal or Dyson v15 Detect+.
Corded vs. Cordless
Perhaps the biggest factor to consider when researching a Dyson vacuum is whether you prefer a corded or cordless vacuum cleaner. Corded vacuums are great for deep cleaning sessions—where you want a seemingly endless supply of suction power. Dyson’s corded, upright vacuums also have larger dust bins, resulting in fewer trips to the trash can. Most models have cords that are 30 feet in length, so you won’t have to switch outlets over and over.
The brand’s cordless vacuums have skyrocketed in popularity and are worth considering. Improvements in battery life—along with the transition to a click-in battery pack on specific Dyson models, like the Dyson Outsize, our Best for Large Spaces option—have made them significantly more appealing and realistic.
Compatible Floor Types
Dyson’s upright vacuum cleaners are generally recommended for all floor types, while the cordless vacuum cleaners have various cleaning heads that are optimized for specific types of flooring. The soft-bristled roller is usually the best choice for hard-surface floors, like wood, tile, or laminate. Any rugs and carpets will benefit most from a motorized cleaning head with bristles that will extract hair, dirt, and debris.
If your space has a combination of flooring, and you're set on a cordless vac for its convenience, look for a model that includes interchangeable cleaning heads.
Included Accessories
The accessory package of each Dyson model varies, but most include standard attachments, such as a crevice tool or combination duster. However, you should pay attention to specialized accessories included with each vacuum, like a mini motorized tool. Pet owners will appreciate the new hair screw tool, an accessory that's specifically designed to capture pet fur and long hair. It ensures that the hair does not wrap around the brush roll.
You can get a quick idea of which accessories are included with a Dyson vacuum based on its name. Vacuums with the "Motorhead" designation are usually basic and include minimal accessories. The "Animal" version includes additional accessories, though they may vary by model. For newer product releases, Dyson has switched up its product designation to include a "+" symbol for models that include additional accessories or features. For instance, the v15 Detect+ includes nine tools and accessories, as compared to just eight for the v15 Detect.

FAQ
-
As soon as your model's dust cup reaches its maximum capacity, usually denoted by a line on the cup, it's time to empty it. Waiting and operating your vacuum with a full dust cup will diminish its overall efficiency and cleaning power.
If you have an upright or canister model, lift the cup away from the body of the vacuum by its handle. Hold it over the trash, and press the button on top of the cup to empty it. If your model is a stick vacuum, hold it over the trash by the handle, and pull the release lever to empty the built-in cup.
-
After emptying your Dyson's dust cup, rinse it out with water. Dyson's reusable filters should be cleaned the same way, with nothing more than cold water. The rest of the interior can be cleaned with a dry dust rag and can of compressed air. Don't forget to remove any hair from the brush bar—either manually or with a pair of scissors. Once you've finished cleaning your vacuum, make sure all parts are dry before reassembling the machine.
-
All Dyson machines come with a Dyson warranty, but its length will depend on which machine you choose. Cordless Dyson vacuums are covered for two years, while corded models are covered for five. Under this warranty, Dyson will repair your vacuum and replace its parts as needed to help ensure its continued performance for years after you purchase it. Warranty aside, your Dyson's lifespan will depend on how much you use it and what you do to maintain it.

Erica Puisis has been a writer for The Spruce since 2017, specializing as a product researcher for large and small appliances. For this piece, she researched the complete lineup of Dyson vacuums, comparing the features and benefits of a dozen cordless, upright, canister, and handheld models. Each was evaluated based on its features, cleaning modes, battery life, and accessories. Research included reports from The Lab—along with observations from at-home product testers and trends among customer reviews. She also spoke with Josh Mutlow, Dyson's design manager, to learn more about the technology and thought behind the company's products.
Emma Phelps, an updates writer for The Spruce, also assisted in updating this roundup to include a few of the latest Dyson models that we've tested in The Lab.

Benefits: Six months ago I was completely sure that such vacuum cleaners are bought by people under the hypnosis of sellers. But no matter how trite it may sound - having tried almost all wireless devices in the demo halls of large stores, I realized that either not to buy, or to buy only V8. I must say right away that there are no competitors in terms of the quality of cleaning, the dyson cleans flawlessly for the passage. All the rest are electric brooms - they collected large dirt and dust, and the little things scatter around the room further. In terms of cleaning quality, Dyson can be compared with a Karcher SV 19 vacuum cleaner02 (who is interested in my review of it is available), namely, the absence of the smallest dust and the purity of the air after cleaning. In addition to Karcher, there is another solid dry-cleaning vacuum cleaner - it performs its functions, but blows dust on the floor. By weight, the dyson is certainly not a fluff - when cleaning, you have to shift from hand to hand, but this does not bother. By the duration of work, it is enough for 30 minutes of work in normal mode, and about 10 minutes in the most powerful one. There are two charging modes - through a wired adapter, or through a stationary holder and a wired adapter installed in it. Cleaned up, hung up - it is charging, at the end of charging it is not necessary to take it out, it turns off by itself, it is very convenient. The battery can be replaced by yourself if it loses capacity. And finally - all the same, you need to make one universal brush, it is not convenient to change them during the cleaning process. As a result, I had a task - to do cleaning as local or general as soon as possible - with this vacuum cleaner I solved it completely, having also received the quality of cleaning and air purification like that of a water vacuum cleaner.

Review: Tired of the big old vacuum cleaner with my wife, we decided to purchase a light and compact Dyson vacuum cleaner. Having bought it for a very rather big amount of money and for the first time using it, our joy knew no bounds. At first, we all liked this vacuum cleaner, but then we began to notice various shortcomings. The vacuum cleaner hardly sucks dirt from the carpet, with a big thief, so you have to sweep everything with a broom. It gets clogged up very quickly and takes a long time to clean.
