Young couple's apartment - bedroom and living room decor ideas with a selection of products
Our second visit was not long in coming: our subscriber Anastasia wrote to us with a proposal to arrange her apartment in a residential area on Shuvalovsky Prospekt.
Anastasia is the head of the iOS department, enjoys swimming and paints by numbers, and her boyfriend Alexander is the head of the Data Engineering department, interested in basketball and digital drawing. They like to spend their free time together watching anime. Anastasia and Alexander have been living in this apartment with the cat Peach for 2 years.
The first thing that caught my eye when we entered the apartment was carefully placed beds, hammocks, toys and other necessary things for a cat. Peach has his own private corner in every room, and we found it insanely cute.
“Many people think that he [the cat] is spoiled, but I say that they just love him.”
The apartment was originally in good condition, which was a great argument in favor of buying. The repair was made more cosmetic: the wallpaper and the ceiling were updated, but the floor was not touched. The owners wanted a neutral and calm interior without bright flashy colors, since the house for them is primarily a place of rest.
Therefore, a light color scheme was chosen for the living room, leaving only one dark wall with plain wallpaper with a painting effect as the key, and they decided to make the bedroom completely gray-blue.
“My parents, when they came to visit after the renovation, said that the bedroom was too gloomy, but I don’t think so. When we curtain the windows and go to bed, dark walls help us fall asleep faster, and in principle it becomes more comfortable to be in the room.

Based on the already existing beige shade in the interior, we proposed the same light and calm design. The creamy color scheme was complemented by velvet cushions and curtains from the Azadi collection. And the white-brown Nord plaid has become here, although not obvious, but an accent, due to a different color and bulk knitting.

The bedroom turned out to be just as restrained as the living room, but already colder in design. The texture and shade of the wallpaper in the room reminded us of our dark blue textiles from the Nord collection, inspired by the nature of the North. Azadi velvet pillows from the previous combination were left as a contrasting element both in color and texture of the fabric.
