Today’s ceiling tiles and panels, however, can be just as effective but also more eye-catching as well. Utilizing a decorative ceiling system can add instant interest to a room, elevating your entire office decor at once.

15. Origami Folds

“Close Up On Pattern” Featuring: SoundStar by Arktura

  • Decorative ceiling panels - various types

Beautifully decorate the upper part of the room, you can not only stretch the film or properly align and paint. You can use decorative panels for the ceiling, which, like gypsum sheets, are mounted on the crate.

    Advantages of such solutions

The main competitive advantage of this option over other, more complex types of finishes is the speed and ease of installation.

When mounted on a batten, you can hide the wiring, embed recessed lights, hide the existing imperfections of the ceiling plate.

Most of these types of finishes will not be the most expensive solution - the price is usually very attractive, and the tiled options are the lowest. Cost is one of the main advantages of decorative panels.

Installation is carried out if necessary by one person and everything happens very quickly. For most premises, the installation period will not exceed one day.

    Varieties

All currently produced solutions of this type can be divided into several subspecies:

    • ISOTEX
    • products
    • Plastic strips
    • MDF parts
    • Styrofoam or polystyrene panels

With a seemingly small selection, there is enough choice among the manufactured products. There are various colors, imitations of natural surfaces, and even details that allow you to combine several functions - from noise absorption to heat conservation.

    ISOTEX

They allow not only to beautifully decorate the surface of the ceiling, but also to get additional bonuses in the form of a special material from which they are made.

First of all, such slats greatly reduce the entry of extraneous noise into the room. This is due to the material used for their manufacture, made from coniferous wood. It is covered on one side with a decorative film, and on the other side with a special stabilizing base, which makes it easy to mount them on the adhesive composition.

The panels produced by Isotex can simply be glued directly onto the concrete base which will be the ceiling slab. Between themselves, the parts are connected by the "thorn - groove" method, which simplifies their installation.

They are absolutely safe for health, since they do not emit formaldehyde, and they are made of environmentally friendly material.

The only drawback of such a solution will be a rather high price, which, however, is justified by the universality of such solutions, which allow simultaneously solving the problems of heat saving, noise absorption and giving the ceiling a beautiful appearance.

    Plastic panels

One of the most inexpensive ways to solve problems with the design of the ceiling surface. They are easy to install, undemanding to operating conditions, and the cost of this option will be much less than all other similar methods of ceiling design.

The disadvantage of plastic covers will be the same as for all suspended options - the height of the room will decrease. Not much, but it will become noticeable in small rooms. Pluses - the ability to hide all the necessary communications in the ceiling space and the device in the same place, a heat or noise-absorbing layer.

    Styrofoam coverings

Styrofoam, Styrofoam - these materials are similar, therefore, they can be combined into one group. Moreover, they are all mounted in the same way, and their cost, although it differs, is insignificant.

Attaching such products is simple - they can simply be glued on the simplest adhesive, non-solvent material from which they are made.

Cost will be the main benefit of using them, Styrofoam panels are the cheapest way to upgrade your ceiling.

Among the shortcomings - relative fragility, the inability to obtain a continuous ceiling plane without joints or seams, and the "geometry" of the pattern obtained on the ceiling plane.

    MDF planks

MDF may not be very cheap, but it looks very nice. An additional advantage of such surfaces will be the opportunity to obtain a very high-quality imitation of wood textures. But, for their installation, you will have to assemble a crate on which the main canvas of decorative strips will be fixed.

Pluses - as with all structures that are mounted on a pre-installed frame - the ability to hide communications, hide defects in the base ceiling, and ease of installation.

However, all the disadvantages inherent in suspended solutions are also present here. The height of the room in which such a coating is installed is reduced, it becomes necessary to install a frame base to fix the decorative coating.

You can choose from two types of such products - laminated or veneered. The latter will be significantly more expensive, since their front surface will be made of natural veneer, which makes it possible to achieve complete resemblance to natural material.

    Conclusion

Decorative panels, can be used for ceiling installation in any room. They are favorably distinguished from other types of finishes by the fact that all operations for installing the coating can be performed completely independently. There is no need to turn to the services of installers and specialists.

The cost of such a finish can also become a trump card. Usually, it is cheaper than building a quality drywall structure, or leveling the surface and then painting it.
