According to psychological tests, the color that most of us adore is blue, and we can’t deny that the best color to combine with blue is gray! A bedroom in the mixture of these colors looks so relaxing and inviting that you’ll want to spend all your time there. Such a combination is especially calm with vintage furniture, but some modern pieces would also be an excellent choice. Let’s take a look at some design inspiration!

One of the many reasons for the popularity of these colors is the versatile range of hues and shades they offer. Gray can act as a soothing neutral and dominant accent hue in a room, while blue can play the role of a protagonist and supporting cast with equal ease. This offers an endless array of possibilities to work with. Bright, refined, and always in trend, here are 15 gorgeous gray and blue bedrooms to swoon over.

Inspired by the Sea!

It is white and blue that traditionally ushers in the magic of the sun, sand, and surf into your bedroom. But go down a different route this summer and replace the white in that equation with far more exciting shades of gray. Apart from giving your nautical or coastal style bedroom a fresh, new look, replacing white with gray gives you greater decorating freedom and a chance to try out more unique shades of blue.

In fact, you can fill the backdrop with light gray and even a hint of white, with pops of teal, turquoise, or periwinkle for a more significant visual impact. From bedding and drapes to a complete bedroom furniture set in blue, a gray background lets you easily switch between hues.

Contemporary Chic

Not sure about which shade of blue or gray you want to use in your contemporary bedroom? How about bluish-gray! Bringing together the two hot hits, this is a color that has been making giant waves in the decorating world for a while now. It can be used to create a relaxed and inviting backdrop that also feels inherently urbane.

Couple it with décor and accessories in darker tones of gray or brighter hues of blue, and you have a stylish, incredibly adaptable bedroom. This color scheme works exceptionally well in modern Scandinavian bedrooms, thanks to its cheerful appeal.

Gray and navy have become one of the most widespread and fierce color combos, which are widely used throughout various homes with all kinds of decor styles. Gray is rather a soothing color, and navy adds depth to it while bringing calmness, too.

Experiment with Color and Style

Do not be afraid to combine a third color with gray and blue in the bedroom. This need not necessarily be white, as both blue and gray can create a neutral and inviting setting that allows other bold hues to shine through.

A touch of red or orange looks excellent in the coastal or nautical bedroom, while a pop of fuchsia or pink can bring sparkle to the girls’ bedroom. Yellow is an excellent choice in bedrooms with light shades of gray and blue as it ushers in sun-kissed charm, while brown can give the space a more masculine finish.

Different Shades of Gray and Blue

Darker shades of gray can also be used in small bedrooms to create a dashing and more masculine space. Once you go down this route, ensure that the rest of the room remains as uncluttered and neutral as possible with sparingly used blue accents.

In the bedroom, everything from the pillows and bed sheets to drapes and vases can be used to add color, and with changing trends, you can even move away from blue and adopt a completely different color scheme.

We also love the lighter shades of gray mixed with navy. If you like moody spaces, you may try graphite gray and navy. Usually, designers prefer to make gray the primary color and add navy with accents: a statement wall, pillows, an upholstered bed, and nightstands. Here you will see that navy is the focal point, and the gray is just ever so slightly in the bedding. This mixup away from the standard way navy is used is a perfect fit for this space.

Another favored dark blue shade is midnight blue, which is more often combined with dove gray and other light shades of gray. This classic color scheme will bring an ultimate refined and elegant feel to the space. Though some of you may say it’s too contrasting and looks formal, it’s a very bold and dramatic idea.

Lighter shades of blue are perfect if you love color! Turquoise, sky blue, electric blue, and much more will make your space more pleasant and cheery. You may see the light and bold shades of blue around – from ocean-inspired bedrooms to contemporary ones; blues are great for any style.

You can combine blues with darker or lighter shades of gray – daring shades of blue will always make a statement, but you’ll often see light gray bedrooms with bright blue accents. If you aren’t sure about this or that shade, try bedding in such a color first, so you will understand if it fits or not.

You may add other accessories to the bedroom: pillows, lamps, artwork, and much more. You may also make your blue color the primary one in the room and calm it down with hints of gray bedding, furniture, pillows, accessories, and other items.

If you’re looking to create a focal point, the best tip is to focus on the bed. As this is generally the center of any sleeping area, the bed must convey the color scheme.

That being said, look for bedding with shades of gray and blue that match your color scheme and complement the other items in the room.

Tips for Adding in Other Colors With Gray and Blue

Once you have your blue and gray mastered, don’t be afraid to play with more colors. Adding in a third supplementary color can make a world of difference in the bedroom and even allow you to play up your creativity and give a unique look to the space. Here are some other colors that complement well with blue and gray:

Frequently Asked QuestionsFAQ

Are there any colors that don't match with gray?

As a general rule, matching colors is all about picking the correct shade. If you play around with hues, you could get almost any color to match with gray as it is considered neutral. However, in most cases, green or red don't look or work well with gray.

What color contrasts with blue and gray?

If you are after a strong and striking contrast with your blue and gray bedroom, try working in some black or yellow. Don't go overboard with these colors, but rather use them in smaller accents and decor.

What colour should never be seen with blue?

Blue is quite a complementary color and can be used with tons of different hues and colors. But as a general rule of thumb, blue and green should never be seen without another color in between. So if you want to add another color to your blue and gray bedroom and go green, just ensure that the two colors are separated.

Will a gray and blue bedroom make my space feel calm?

In color psychology, gray represents neutrality and balance, and blue calls to mind feelings of calmness or serenity. Blue is often described as peaceful, tranquil, secure, and orderly. Blue is often seen as a sign of stability and reliability. So the combination of these two colors together are excellent for the bedroom space.

Why choose a blue bedroom?

Pottery Barn

Blue is considered a calming color that can help you relax and get a good night’s sleep. The calming effect that the color blue can have on your mood makes it the perfect choice for a bedroom – a place you normally go to to rest, unwind, and relax.

Blue isn’t strictly a calm color though: for example look at this almost neon electric blue bedroom! I wouldn’t say this is necessarily a soothing blue, but it’s definitely exciting!

Blue can also be energetic, fresh and lively when it’s contrasted with white or yellow (or both!).

Emily Henderson

Being such a versatile color, it’s no wonder so many people choose to decorate their bedrooms with blue! No matter what style you’re going for, there’s a blue bedroom design that will fit your needs.

Tips for bringing blue into the bedroom

If you’re looking for some inspiration on how to bring blue into your bedroom, here are some tips! There are plenty of ways to incorporate blue into your bedroom design.

Of course you can paint the walls blue. But even if your walls are painted a color other than blue, you can still add blue accents to your rooms.

Things like artwork, rugs, pillows, bedding and curtains can be introduced in the color blue. You can even use blue furniture!

In fact, introducing wood that is painted blue, or blue upholstered pieces are great ways to bring blue furniture into your bedroom without having to paint the actual walls.

The Home I Create

But if you are using paint, consider painting your trim and walls the same color. This will create a uniform, blue cocoon-like feeling that is both cozy and calming.

✅ TIP: I suggest choosing a different paint sheen for your trim. For example: eggshell on the walls and gloss on the trim, as seen on the green walls below.
La Redoute

If you want to add a touch of luxury, paint your bedroom walls in a deep blue and then add a velvet headboard in a coordinating color:

Soho Home

Use an inky blue, almost black, to create an accent wall, like in the photo below. Pair it with warm neutral upholstery, wood accents and clean lines to create a contemporary look.

Using cream, white or light colored accents with such a dark wall will help to keep the room from feeling too dark and oppressive and will create a very striking contrast.

(Actually … now that I look at this picture, this wall just looks black to me. But hopefully you get the idea!) 🤣

Beachy blue bedrooms

The Lily Pad Cottage

If you’re drawn to the nautical theme and you want to create a beachy vibe in your bedroom, try using light blues and whites. This works well for lake house properties as well.

Add to the look by incorporating neutral woven textiles and some subtle nautical stripes.

You can try bringing the outdoors in by adding a potted palm tree to the corner of the room.

Just be sure to steer clear from anything overly themed – think things like oars, anchors, seashells and starfish – as they can feel cheesy.

Instead, think about other ways to pull in the sea/ocean/water theme that are less literal.

You could opt for a beautiful painting of a boat on a stormy ocean. Or a painting depicting a sailboat peacefully drifting along the water. Bring in a basket wrapped in jute, or maybe even style in a beautiful piece of driftwood.

Sand & Sisal

The photo above is an example of the coastal theme done right!! I know it’s not a bedroom, but you could easily use this palette in your bedroom. You could swap out the checks for stripes and obviously the photo is styled for the fall season, but the overall color scheme is lovely, coastal and classic yet fresh.

To achieve the seaside resort look in your bedroom, you don’t have to paint the walls blue. You can paint the walls a bright, fresh white, like in the picture above, and incorporate your blue tones through smaller accents like pillows and bedding.

Monochromatic Blue Bedrooms

If blue has always been and will forever be your favorite color and you just can’t get enough of it, then why not go fully monochromatic in your bedroom?

Embrace the blues and paint the walls, trim, and ceiling. Then, go even further and add blue bedding and blue decor.

You can try to pull in the exact same shade in multiple areas, or you can use multiple blue shades.

Recommended blue palettes

If you’re not sure how to pair blues with other colors, here are a few recommended blue bedroom color palettes to get you started!

Glamorous blue bedroom Palettes

Try dark sapphire blue walls with gold accents and pink, teal and gold velvet textiles, like in the photo below.

I wouldn’t exactly say the blue is the main focus of the room here, but it provides the perfect rich backdrop for the sumptuous velvets in the room.

Personally I think I would have taken the blue to the ceiling in this room, to make an even bigger statement!

Next we have blue walls, a tufted blue velvet headboard, gold lighting fixtures, and velvet bedding mainly in teal. Add a fiddle leaf fig for some liveliness.

Traditional blue bedroom ideas:

There is a toile party happening in the traditional blue and white bedroom below and we are all invited – the bedroom has wallpaper with a blue toile pattern, and at least 2 upholstered pieces in the room also feature blue and white toile.

Notice now the blue and white motif makes the rich tones of the antique wood furniture pop like crazy.

The natural woven area rug, paired with the crisp, contemporary white bedding manage to give the room a more up to date vibe in an otherwise very daring, but still very traditional room.

House and Garden
✅ tip: Anything wood or leather will pretty much always look great with blue – this is because wood tones are similar to blue’s complementary color, orange.

Minimalist blue bedroom Ideas

If you tend to embrace the less is more mantra, then you may enjoy a blue bedroom that leans more minimalist.

You may want to stay away from using a lot of color, and keep your room’s palette minimal with white walls and matching white trim. Perhaps you can bring in subtle hits of blue through the bedding and textiles.

Carpet Right

The room below introduces the same tone of blue into three major elements in the room: the wood slat wall, the arm chair with matching ottoman and the blue curtains.

There seems to be a hint of a slightly greener tone of blue in the rug as well; although most of the rug is covered by the bed, it still helps to anchor the rest of the room to the blue in the left hand corner. Finally, the eye gets one more hit of blue with the pale blue vase resting on the headboard on the right.

Blue is the color of the endless sea and sky. It is associated with freedom, peace and ... dreams. Blue and its shades are soothing, so this color is perfect for the bedroom. Whether it's walls, wallpaper or linens, it's made for every element of the bedroom. Thus, it seems that the blue bedroom will be the perfect place to relax. However, it is worth remembering that some shades increase concentration, stimulate action and add energy. Therefore, blue in the bedroom should be used in moderation. How to create a bedroom in blue tones?

Review content:

Design Styles

A versatile blue color suitable for many styles. You can verify this by looking at various photos of blue bedrooms on the Internet. It goes well with wood, metal, glass and even brick. Blue is also perfect for bringing out the trendy decor of a nautical bedroom.

Combined with wood and white, it can be used in Provençal or Scandinavian interiors. The interior of a blue or blue bedroom will be given a glamorous chic decoration in the form of a fashionable chandelier, bedside tables with a glass top and a fluffy rug.

Blue walls

A bedroom in blue tones can get a stylish interior if you take care of a coordinated and interesting arrangement. The first idea that comes to mind is painting the walls blue. However, it is worth making sure that the shade of this color fits not only into the decor, but also takes into account the architectural features prevailing in the room.

When designing a small bedroom, of course, it would be wiser to turn to bright shades, such as blue, which optically expands the interior. If the bedroom has a large area, you can choose a darker color, such as navy blue.

Blue wallpaper in the bedroom

Blue wallpaper gives great decor options in the bedroom. Wallpaper is most often used on a selected part of the wall, such as above the bed. This solution allows you to choose wallpaper even in very intense patterns, because from a lying position, expressive wallpaper will not distract or interfere with falling asleep. You can choose a uniform surface or use a pattern that brings out the theme of the bedroom or its style.

The look of the interior is determined not only by stylish furniture or beautiful accessories, but also by “permanent” decor elements, that is, well-chosen floors and walls, which in some way form the basis of the whole composition.

In a blue bedroom, use patterned wallpaper in the appropriate color, which will give the room an original and interesting character. Wallpaper can be placed both on the part of the wall behind the headrest of the bed, and on its entire surface.

However, remember that the wallpaper must match the decor. In a blue bedroom in a glamorous style, a pattern with an ornament will “work”, and a pattern with flowers will look better in a Provencal or rustic one.

Blue patterns on the wall

You can also use wall stickers, large graphics or patterned templates instead of wallpaper. It is worth remembering that choosing the right wall decoration will not only decorate the interior, but also improve its proportions. Applying horizontal stripes to the wall will widen a narrow bedroom, while a short, darker colored wall will shorten the interior into a long tube shape.

Wall mural

Another interesting idea for decorating the walls in the bedroom with blue, which was mentioned just above, is the wall mural. There are many designs available in stores these days, so it shouldn't be too hard to find the right motif that matches your particular interior.

Wall painting will work in both small and large bedrooms and will bring decor to life no matter the size of the room. It suits both modern and Scandinavian decor, so you should consider such a solution for a blue bedroom.

White and blue

White and blue is a combination that, unfortunately, cannot always be applied to good effect. In many rooms, it is better to avoid blue as a permanent element, because it is difficult to combine with other colors.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to radically change the color scheme of the interior with shades of blue. Any attempts to introduce other colors into these interiors lead to the fact that blue loses its properties and character.

Because of its purity and clarity, this shade is perfect for bathrooms and bedrooms. For the bedroom, a combination of gray-blue tones can also be suitable.

Blue bedroom - calm and fresh

Blue is a cool color. The blue bedroom allows you to find peace. On the other hand, from the point of view of the interior and design of the bedroom in blue tones, blue optically expands any space.

How the interior of the bedroom in blue tones will look depends mainly on the combinations. The best option would be to combine several shades of blue with classic white or gray.

Pair with silver accessories for a nice set of colors for a calm blue-grey bedroom. To avoid boredom, you can combine different patterns and textures.

Classic? Not only

When planning the arrangement of a blue bedroom, it is worth remembering that a particular shade of this color can fit into several different styles. Therefore, interiors decorated in classic or New York style will look best in shades of dark blue, which will emphasize the elegant nature of this type of arrangement and give the bedroom a harmonious and stylish look.

Light shades of blue will look good in modern and Scandinavian bedrooms. Therefore, pure blue or blue colors are the ideal choice in such arrangements, especially if you are decorating a cramped interior and you need to visually add a little space. These colors will be very successful!

Blue bedroom - walls or accessories?

If a small bedroom is decorated, then accessories and decorative elements in intense blue or dark blue tones will look good in it. Dark walls can overwhelm too small interiors and create a depressing mood. A large bedroom with windows or access to a balcony can be painted in blue and even dark blue, which will give the interior of the bedroom an elegant character and comfort.

Or maybe a blue ceiling?

Although when thinking about a blue bedroom, the most obvious solution seems to be painting the walls, lovers of original compositions will love decor with a blue ceiling or decorative wallpaper on it. This decision makes the interior of the blue bedroom take on a more interesting character, and at the same time looks elegant and original.

Works well in both Scandinavian and modern or classic bedrooms - all you have to do is choose the right shade or wallpaper pattern.

Bedroom Accessory Ideas

Blue is a color often used in decorative items such as pillows, bedspreads or even a headboard. On the one hand, a cold color, and on the other, an exquisite, regal one. Intense and dark shades of blue are perfect for a small bedroom. They will not overwhelm her and dominate the room.

Dark blue accessories such as vases, cushions and paintings or individual pieces of furniture are suitable for a small interior. The same is true for curtains in the blue bedroom.

Decorative lighting in the blue bedroom

In addition to the general light source in the bedroom, its decorative options are also useful. Thanks to them, it will be possible to achieve a romantic atmosphere that will calm the senses and help fall asleep. Therefore, bedside tables should have lamps with blue shades.

Their hues are great for diffusing light and adding mystery, and for evenings when you need to relax, scented candles and matching candlesticks or lanterns are perfect. They are associated with the bedroom owner's favorite color: sea breeze, hyacinth, berries and much, much more!

Blue clock in the bedroom

An integral part of the bedroom is the clock. In the area of the bed, it is good to find a place for an alarm clock that matches the decor. Models are available in different colors and shades, with or without backlight. An addition to the alarm clock will be a wall clock that performs a decorative function in the bedroom.

Blue is a good choice for the bedroom. But it, like any other color, must be applied wisely, and decorative objects must be balanced with the background. This also applies, for example, to the beige-blue bedroom.

Blue bedroom step by step

In the bedroom layout, you can use blue and its shades in the wall decor, as a decorative theme on the bedding or bedspread, and furnish the entire bedroom in blue.

How the interior of the blue bedroom will look like - it largely depends on the combinations. White walls, gray-blue floors and some brown are a good set of colors for a calm bedroom.

So that the interior does not seem boring and sad, it is worth juxtaposing different textures and patterns with each other, for example, choosing patterned wallpapers, bedspreads or lamps with a blue base and a white lampshade - or vice versa.

Delicate and subtle blue combined with white accessories (the result is a kind of white and blue bedroom) is the most common choice, and it really looks tasteful. Pastel colors of the walls in a duet with shades of blue will add a characteristic lightness to the interior. In combination with white, shabby furniture, you can create a unique idyllic atmosphere.

Bedroom in blue tones - an interior with a new mood

Bedroom interior project in blue tones is doomed to success: this color is rich in shades, full of charm, and in combination with other colors it gets a completely unexpected sound.

Blue is the color of compromise. When developing an interior project, the desire for novelty conflicts with the underlying desire for stability. I would like to decorate the bedroom for years - so that after a few years you will smile and breathe a sigh of relief: it's good that it looks just like that, and not otherwise. If this succeeded, then we have a bedroom in blue tones.

The versatility of blue in the bedroom seems to know no bounds. The interior can be romantic, modern, practical, tough, sophisticated, elegant, but never boring. Of course, if you study the work of interior designers before developing a project and gain the courage to imitate them.

The only problem is that there are so many great bedroom designs in blue that your eyes run wide. In order to somehow structure the masterpieces, we will divide them into groups, well, at least ... according to mood!

What state of mind would you like to experience, prolong? What kind of atmosphere to plunge into? The answer to the question depends on what the interior of the bedroom in blue tones will be - elegant, pompous, pastoral, minimalist, brutal or cheerful. The only thing that no one can change is that he is always incredibly romantic!

The plan is simple: start with an overview of eternal values, move smoothly to innovations, and then succumb to the nostalgic veil of pseudo-historical interiors. We will follow the mood, but we will find ourselves in fifteen different worlds.

Exquisite nobility of a strict blue bedroom

A bedroom in blue tones happily combines modernity and tradition, but something in this union certainly outweighs. In this case, the clean lines of classic elegance come to the fore.

The orderliness of design, symmetry, strict rhythm in decorating the interior of a bedroom in blue tones have a calming effect on a person. Away with anxiety, doubts, contradictions. We are on an island of stability, surrounded by an exquisite harmony of blue and white.

Classical elegance of the bedroom in blue tones

What's good about the classics: the design techniques are clear and honed to perfection, but the result is always unpredictably unique. This is proved by photos of bedrooms in blue combined with white - you can sort through dozens of projects and not even find two similar ones.

Bedroom design elements in the spirit of European classicism

Have you noticed what all these projects have in common? Techniques used by designers:

Blue bedroom in the style of European classicism

In the photo of the bedrooms in blue it is clearly seen that sometimes it is enough to follow some of the above rules for the interior to acquire pronounced classic features and slight pomposity.

Would you like to add something more sublime? Divinely perfect? Then we are on our way to antiquity.

Blue bedroom with semi-columns: feel like a goddess

Why not give the bedroom in pale blue tones the features of Olympus and at least for a minute not feel like a Roman patrician or, in relation to a lady, a beautiful goddess? Minutes can be stretched into years if you arrange the room accordingly.

Consider interiors with a slight hint of antiquity, because it would hardly occur to anyone to install marble columns in a typical apartment. It is possible to recreate the atmosphere of idle contemplation of beauty with modern means - plaster or polyurethane pilasters, friezes, bas-reliefs and other similar decor. By the way, it is technically easy to install white semi-columns with curls under the ceiling in the bedroom.

Light bedroom interior with a hint of antiquity

Antique blue bedroom interior design techniques

Classics and antiquity in the interior are united by the desire for symmetry. This, perhaps, is where the similarity ends.

Antique bedroom design in blue tones is created using the following techniques:

Stucco and strict lines create an antique atmosphere

There is no need to follow all the items on the list. Why take antique design too seriously if it's an imitation of style and nothing more. But in the blue bedroom (photo), even light curtsies towards antiquity are enough to break away from the ordinary.

In contrast to the antique design, everything in this style is authentic, everything amazes the imagination with lush decor and ornate forms: crystal, solid wood furniture, expensive wallpaper. An exception is cast and stamped stucco molding for decorating the ceiling and walls.

Rules for the transition from empire to maximalism

Something from the arsenal of expressive means "a la empire" is included in the top 50 trends of 2018-2019. Details that make the bedroom in soft blue tones in the spirit of maximalism sharply fashionable:

Empire style is characterized by a large number of decorative elements

Maximalism does not pursue quantity. In the Empire tradition, place a lot of accessories in the room - mirrors, paintings, furniture. In maximalism, it is enough to perform a solid, even somewhat pompous decoration of walls, floors, ceilings and designate a few expensive accents.

For example, a bedroom with blue walls pasted over with "imperial" wallpaper will be decorated with a front mirror in a stucco frame, an armchair and a heavy chandelier. Dressing table, bedside tables and the bed itself - from one set: this "old-fashioned" phenomenon is returning to our lives.

The modest charm of the bourgeoisie

There is some irony in this: the bourgeoisie of the 19th century sought to adopt and adapt the aristocratic style, and the designers of the twentieth - twenty-first century have found appeal in pseudo-bourgeois shabby chic interiors, where blue plays a leading role.

Blue shabby chic bedroom

How do you create shabby chic?

Shabby chic blue for the bedroom is called tiffany, and it is next to pink and gold. An abundance of murals, decoupage and craquelure, small knick-knacks, roses and angels, as well as deliberately shabby furniture with brand new upholstery make up an ironic ensemble full of charm.

Signs of shabby chic in accessories that are never too much:

Cozy bedroom interior with an abundance of textiles

This style is very, very expensive, but if the owner of the bedroom in blue tones (photo) has golden hands, then such a room will give her not only comfort, but also ideas for creativity.

Frost and sun in a bedroom with blue wallpaper - let's add fire!

The contrast of blue with a range of colors from yellow to red is incredibly emotional.

One of the walls in the bedroom with blue wallpaper in the photo is painted red, and this gives an impetus to decorating the room in an oriental style, boho or tropical ethno.

An energetic neighborhood of blue and orange is appropriate in an optimistic children's bedroom with blue walls. A more relaxed option is a combination of blue and yellow. These contrasts do not contradict the Scandinavian style and enliven the chilly interior. But more suited to the style of functional minimalism, stingy in form, but bold in terms of color.

A vibrant combination of orange and blue

Tips for using red and blue in the bedroom

Fiery contrast does not make you sleepy. It is justified in the bedroom if it is used as an office or an isolated living room. Combinations of blue with hot pink, red and orange are very fond of travelers, conquered by the exoticism of South Asian countries.

The burning color of the bedroom in blue and orange-red is close to young, active people, those who feel the need for color doping.

Visiting the chess queen this urban style.

An interesting design for the "Scandinavian" blue bedroom is shown in the photo - the emphasis is shifted to white textiles with a black contour pattern. Black and white accessories against blue walls enhance the feeling of freshness.

Black furniture sets off the blue color of the walls

An interesting effect arises when strict geometry reigns in graphic drawings, as if in a chess looking-glass from Alice's dream. Also in big fashion are floral black and white graphic motifs and intricate lattices. Black subtle motifs help create perspective in a romantic interior decorated in soft blue. Harmony is achieved by repeating white and black in furniture and accessories.

The charm of ancient motifs toile de jouis

There is one interesting but rare direction in Provence design, which relies on the use of toile de jouis textiles. The white and blue fabric palette completely turns the idea of Provencal style: yes, it can be like that!

In fairness it must be said that this recognizable drawing also exists in red and white, but this is a completely different mood, and a topic for another conversation.

Charming toile de jouy bedroom textile

A jacquard monochrome pattern in a characteristic grey-blue hue on a creamy background, which comes from vintage textiles, is now used both in wallpaper and in small accessories, such as lampshades. Sentimental rural landscapes and pastoral scenes form the basis of the plots of the toile de juy. Sometimes songbirds are woven into them. Do not be surprised by the plots with fish and Chinese houses by the pond - the origins of toile de juy must be sought in Chinese painting.

How the design of the Provencal bedroom in blue tones is formed

The decision to use Provencal jacquard in the interior of the room subordinates all other design elements. We suggest several win-win solutions:
