Art in a bathroom
8 Ways to Display Art in Bathrooms
Art doesn't only have a place in the living room or bedroom. A well-decorated bathroom often features artwork to go along with its decor style. Adding bathroom art can create a sense of thoughtfulness and beauty, turning the bathroom from a purely functional space to somewhere you look forward to spending time.

Use Soft Artwork for a Cozy Feel
Habitually ChicThis bathroom corner from Habitually Chic uses all the available wall space to display many types of artwork: framed pictures, hanging plates, and even some metal work. To pull off a look like this, choose a theme, or at least a style, so the artwork is cohesive. In this case, architectural art in soft pencil drawings brings together the cozy look. And the symmetrical arrangement mirrors the nature of the buildings themselves. For example, the tower drawing hangs above the two low, long buildings.

Don't Be Afraid of Dark Colors
House of HoneyThis dark bathroom from House of Honey features four related prints of hot-air balloons. Coupled with the animal rug and suitcase, they give the space a fantastical travel theme. Because the background is black, the pale prints pop. Black can be difficult to pull off in a bathroom because the space usually isn't that large. But with good lighting and the right decor, a dark color can become something truly special.

Maintain a Cohesive Style
Monika HibbsThis bright white bathroom by Monika Hibbs keeps everything—artwork included—in the same color palette and style. The theme is coastal, but the black-and-white art suits the rest of the minimalist bathroom. The prints are even thoughtfully arranged above the towel hooks to maintain the clean and simple look. And a rug with just a touch of color gives some warmth to the space.

Choose a Focal Point
House of HawkesThis bathroom by House of Hawkes uses a portrait as a focal point to bring interest to an otherwise simple white room. The portrait, which is set on the side of the tub, instantly attracts the eye and gives a sense of movement to the space. If you want to keep your bathroom more minimal, a single but substantial piece of art is the perfect choice. It won't clutter the space, and you can feature something that has special meaning or simply fits your style.

Create a Gallery Wall
Habitually ChicThis Habitually Chic bathroom leans more on the masculine side. The off-white walls, interesting table-turned-vanity, and vintage paintings and photos of different men all give the distinct impression of a gentleman's bathroom. The placement of the artwork is mostly symmetrical and arranged in columns. But the slight crookedness of some of the frames on the gallery wall maintains the vintage, lived-in vibe of the space.

Hang Wallpaper
Ben PentreathThis gorgeous bathroom by Ben Pentreath uses a black-and-white wallpaper covered with floral drawings for a retro, relaxing feel. While the wallpaper is art itself, it pairs well with the vintage pictures in similar tones. Keeping everything in the same color scheme helps to prevent the look from becoming too busy. And the flowers and glasses give a welcome pop of color.

Turn Back Time
DecorPadThe wainscoting in this old-fashioned bathroom found on DecorPad gives it a traditional feel and perfectly frames the space to highlight the freestanding tub. And the large piece of chinoiserie art, which is in perfect balance with the tub, brings it all together. The cream background of the painting echoes the wainscoting color, and the pale blue ink complements the shade. The chinoiserie style calls back to the Victorian era, and that theme is enhanced by the clawfoot tub and chandelier.

Fashion an Eclectic Escape
Aston MatthewsThis Victorian-style bathroom by Aston Matthews sits somewhere between featured art and a gallery. Seven pictures—colorful cityscapes and flowers—were carefully chosen to feel compatible but eclectic. This strategic "thrown together" energy is a hallmark of good Parisian design. Moreover, the frames are not hung exactly straight, giving the space a spontaneous feel. And the aqua wall color helps to bring out the details of the artwork.
20 Bathroom Art Ideas That Will Bring Creativity to Your Space
We're thrilled to see more color, pattern, and heirloom pieces fill the homes of design enthusiasts lately, and the bathroom should be no exception to this growing desire for personality-driven homes. While the powder bath has long been considered a "safe place" to experiment with the hues and prints we may not be so comfortable using in our living rooms and sleep spaces, all bathrooms deserve to be considered with such a design-centric mentality. However, that doesn't mean you have to wallpaper your primary bath or paint it mauve to achieve a more well-collected, inspiring look (though we fully support both of those design decisions).
Art can be a powerful tool for transforming your bathroom into a more exciting, inspiring place to prepare for the day ahead and unwind at the end of it in style. Designers also love to employ artwork to give clients' spaces more personality and exude their passions so it feels more inviting and comfortable. Designer Becky Nielsen says that bathroom art is a way to express oneself and show off a collection or something you love. Whether you're an avid art collector or in the process of determining movements and artists that make your heart flutter, both a single print and a flush gallery wall can add some pizzaz and character to your washroom.

Make the Most of an Oddly Shaped Space
Read McKendree/JBSA
The bathroom is an excellent place to use art's power to instill a sense of cheeriness and warmth, and designer Katie Rosenfeld does so beautifully in this layered, albeit quirky, space. A collection of sunny yellow art prints and a whimsical light fixture make the room feel like an even more inviting, happy place to primp and prep—even first thing in the morning.
"This is a teeny-tiny powder room in an old sea captain's home and it is nestled under the main stairs," says Rosenfeld. "The proportions are quirky, therefore I had to design it with all these angles and oddities in mind. A tiny room like this can handle drama, hence the blue trim and floor-to-ceiling wallpaper, and I knew I wanted to hang vintage art all in yellow, so I scoured online and in antique stores until I found just the right mix. "
13
Adorn White Walls
Thomas Loof
We love a soothing, neutral bathroom retreat as much as the next person, but luxurious materials and a few design details are imperative for keeping it interesting. Use Art to Bring a Tasteful Dose of Coastal Magic
Read McKendree
Coastal-inspired decorating can go from tasteful to tacky in the blink of an eye, but designer Chauncey Boothby uses an elegant nautical artwork, plus some beach-inspired natural materials to make this Maine home fit its context, add antiquated character, and keep it from feeling sterile.
"My client was considering a number of pieces from a local art gallery and this particular piece immediately jumped out at me for this space," says Boothby." It is such a quiet and serene seascape and I thought it just perfect for this oceanfront primary bathroom. Paired with the soft tones of the wall and vanity, it all blends effortlessly. "

Bathroom as art / News of the society of Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk Territory / Newslab.Ru
Starting repairs, we always dream. We dream that our life will be transformed together with our home. We dream of hearing words of admiration for our taste from relatives and friends. And, of course, that beauty and convenience cost an acceptable amount and at the same time serve as long as possible.

Cascada bathroom gallery, which fully shares this approach, told Newslab.ru how to turn dreams into reality.
Where the soul is
The bathroom is a special part of the house. Here we meet a new day and recharge our batteries, here we rest after long work and wash away all negative thoughts... In a word, regardless of size, the bathroom should please and inspire. Therefore, the choice of sanitary ware, tiles and other bathroom accessories requires the most careful approach. This is not a wallpaper that can be easily replaced at any time - bathroom decoration is done once and for many years.

Brilliant taste
In the Cascada bathroom gallery, every corner is a work of art. Eminent designers-architects worked on the solutions presented in the gallery's showrooms, and this is noticeable: every object, every shade, every smallest detail is in its place here. Whether it's English classics, Italian Renaissance or natural forms from tropical Bali, the style of each ensemble is impeccably maintained and delights at first sight.

For every taste much more than any other store in Krasnoyarsk can offer. But Cascada didn’t stop there either: if a client wants to create an absolutely exclusive interior in his bathroom, which no one else in the city has, he can choose a product in one of the branded catalogs and order its delivery directly from Europe.
What would a bathroom be without tiles? At the service of clients is an extensive collection of ceramic tiles for bathrooms that never go out of fashion from the best European factories. Many of the tiles can only be found in Cascada, and they can be seen and appreciated immediately “live”, in a tasteful interior and with the right lighting.

Keeping up with the times
for those who have nowhere to put their money.
Great news - all this has long been far from true. Rather, on the contrary, in the face of increased competition, manufacturers are constantly reducing prices, and now “smart and beautiful” plumbing is available to almost anyone. Relaxing massage with thin water streams of the shower to your favorite music? A toilet that saves water, cleans itself, and amusingly “springs up” when a person enters the bathroom? All this is possible today - in your home.

Service with a capital letter
When choosing your future bathroom, you want to deal with competent people. Cascada is the same case: a personal manager is assigned to each client. A talented and experienced specialist will take into account all the wishes and help you navigate the variety of goods and manufacturers, draw a design, 3D visualization and go along with the client all the way from the idea to the implementation of the project

A for those who while only looking at plumbing innovations - for example, at the stage of building a house - in the Cascada bathroom gallery, informative lectures and seminars from manufacturers are regularly held. Well, where else in Krasnoyarsk can you learn firsthand about plumbing manufacturing technologies or personally ask questions of interest to a representative of an eminent factory?

Of course, someone can say that A luxury bathroom for Krasnoyarsk is overkill and extra spending, and prefer simple PVC panels to exquisite tiles, and cast-iron with an unpainted inside to a hot tub. But, as experience shows, those who value their rest, strive for comfort and prefer to pay only for really high-quality things, win, because the atmosphere of harmony, cleanliness and comfort in the house is priceless.

Art in the bathroom / Photo reports / Newslab.
RuThe Cascada bathroom gallery once again hosted Krasnoyarsk designers. This time the main topic was a conversation about the interior design of bathrooms. The guest of honor of the event was the talented and famous designer Diana Balashova, the best decorator of 2011 according to the ELLE Decoration magazine and a participant in the TV show Housing Problem. The correspondent of Newslab.ru could not leave this event unattended and is ready to talk about the latest trends in bathroom design.
06/22/2017
Diana Balashova has created many delightful interiors during her work. K. Marksa, 41. Such events are regularly held here. Each time they become one of the most important events in the design environment. After all, in this area it is very important to "keep your finger on the pulse" and constantly look for something new. It is Cascada master classes that allow interior designers to discuss new collections, show off their work and exchange experiences.
Before the start of the master class, a small buffet was held, at which Krasnoyarsk citizens enjoyed talking with the star guest. Diana Balashova was also very happy to meet with her Siberian colleagues.
“I came to Krasnoyarsk at the invitation of the Cascada showroom. I would like to talk about bathroom design. There is no doubt that this is one of the most important things. Even if a person is limited in funds, when planning a budget, he will still allocate money to create a bathroom. After all, this is what we use every day and several times. Therefore, it is very important that the bathroom is both comfortable and beautiful,” said the famous designer.
As part of her lecture, Diana Balashova showed the Krasnoyarsk citizens a presentation, analyzing in detail the examples of the dignity and "zest" of design solutions.
“I am very glad that I was able to collect material for the presentation from the works of Russian designers. I have been engaged in interior design for twenty years, and I can say that we used to be "collective farmers" compared to Europeans. But now I am proud of the way Russian designers work. I have seen many facilities in Europe - we are doing better."
She did not bypass Krasnoyarsk residents either, highly appreciating their potential:
“When I went to you, I looked at photos of the work of Krasnoyarsk designers and found a lot of talented people. It pleased me."
As part of her lecture, Diana Balashova singled out five basic conditions for designing a bathroom, without taking into account which it will remain an ordinary restroom.
- “First of all, a designer should think about convenience. You need to start with the right layout: entering the bathroom, a person should see a bathtub or a washbasin. If it is possible to connect plumbing in this way, this is already the key to success.
- When a designer creates a bathroom interior, he should not rely on ready-made collections and existing standard solutions. This is for housewives. The designer must come up with something of his own.
- Shower cabins, especially corner ones - yesterday. A modern shower is glass and a drain when the pallet is on the same level as the general level of the tile.
- Freestanding bathtubs are very beautiful, especially straight ones. This is the best solution in terms of water consumption, bathing comfort and beauty.
- And finally, lighting is very important.
Bathrooms should be made to look more like rooms than toilets. And if you manage to use living room techniques when designing a bathroom, that will be great!
When the two of you go to work, two sinks are more than just saving time on washing. There is also love in this. After all, when you are in love and build your nest, then you go to the designer. And in a clean and beautiful apartment, love will be sweeter," the designer noted.
At the end of the evening, the guests asked Diana Balashova their questions. The designers were interested in the materials used in the work, discussed the nuances of working with customers, the working day, and much more.
