The dispute between those who prefer to live in the center and those who prefer sleeping areas is eternal - both sides have weighty arguments. If you are faced with the need to choose, it is worth evaluating and weighing many parameters.
Purchase budget
Sleeping areas are always cheaper. It is the affordable price that is the main advantage of real estate objects remote from the center. At the same time, on the outskirts, you can buy housing in a new house and even with a fine finish - you will have to invest in repairs minimally.
Inexpensive real estate closer to the central part of the city usually loses in this respect: as a rule, these are old houses with worn-out communications or Soviet “grandmother's options”.
Infrastructure and transport accessibility
Especially important point for young and mobile people. Every day, not everyone likes to overcome a bunch of obstacles on the way to work (full minibuses, traffic jams). As well as getting home in the evening on the overhead - because the last bus has already left. But this is how the population of sleeping areas lives. If you have a car, the situation will be a little easier.
It is best to take the time to experience your upcoming work-to-home route. If the road “drank all the blood”, it is better to refuse to buy a home in such an inconvenient place. It is worth considering that in the center there are places with poor transport accessibility - it is better to check everything in advance.
Almost all Perm microdistricts, even the most remote ones, now have the necessary minimum for comfort: grocery stores of large chains, kindergartens and schools, gyms, veterinary pharmacies, etc. However, for large purchases (household appliances, clothes, furniture) you still have to go somewhere. Entertainment is also mainly concentrated in the center, although there are exceptions: restaurants and cafes in the suburbs are common, and some of them are very trendy and atmospheric.
Atmosphere and environment
Neighbors, alas, are not chosen, so it will not be possible to fully calculate all the nuances. But it is worth trying to assess some risks in advance. For example, an old house in an old (that is, central) district is almost always a guarantee that “all-seeing” grandmothers will sit at the entrance, and it will not be possible to get into the clinic. On the other hand, you will be warmed by the fact that the opera / puppet / drama theater is within easy reach.
There are also houses where a certain category of residents predominates: for example, they can be teachers, employees of enterprises - after all, people in the center, as a rule, did not buy housing, but received it. In sleeping areas, the population will be, on average, younger, but much more “variegated” in composition.
If peace and quiet and good ecological conditions are important to you, choose the outskirts. Practically in all residential areas of Perm there are cozy parks, and the amount of transport is much less than in the center.
Comfort and benefit
Living in the very heart of the city, but in a house with a dirty entrance, low ceilings, an apartment with a tiny kitchen is inconvenient. Even if you make expensive repairs, some points will not be affected. Old pipes and wiring, the appearance and condition of the facade of the building, unkempt adjacent territory - all these are, as a rule, characteristic signs of Khrushchev.
It is worth considering that such housing will be very difficult to sell later - you should not consider such a purchase as an investment. More comfortable housing in the city center - for example, "Stalinka" - also does not get younger over the years, and a lot of money will be required for such a purchase.
Dormitory areas are, as a rule, modern standards: playgrounds and green courtyards, concierge and security, spacious bright entrances. It will be easy to sell an apartment if necessary.
