Bathroom Cabinets - IKEA

Refresh your beauty routine with bathroom cabinets

The bathroom should be a place of rest and relaxation. Our own home spa where we can unwind, have a long cleansing bath or a hot shower. And to help put our minds at ease, it helps to have a tidy and clutter-free environment. This is where the humble bathroom cabinet can help you. It can easily store all your bathroom essentials while also adding to the style and feel of your soothing decor. Create the restful vibe you want with a bathroom cabinet from IKEA.

Storing and organizing

A bathroom cabinet has a superpower – it keeps all your necessities within reach but out of sight. And you can also get super organized inside your cabinet with adjustable shelves!

That means you can have all your morning necessities on one shelf, and your evening essentials on another. Or you can have a separate shelf for each member of your family. Maybe put your toothbrushing gear on one shelf, hair products on another and cremes and salves on a third. That’s the beauty of it; how you organize your bathroom cabinet is entirely up to you!

Large selection of bathroom cabinets

Your bathroom cabinet isn’t just a storage unit. It can also add to the style and design of one of the most important rooms in your home. That’s why we offer a large selection of bathroom cabinets in many styles, sizes and colors. If you’re having a hard time choosing, we’re here to help – just keep on reading.

Where do you need the extra storage?

Do you want a cabinet above your sink? Or one under it? Or maybe even a freestanding bathroom tall cabinet? We have a wide selection of each. So, begin with deciding where you want your cabinet to narrow down the choices.

Mirrored bathroom cabinet above the sink

Fancy a classic mirrored cabinet above your sink? A tip is to create a symmetrical, uniform look in your bathroom by matching the width of your cabinet to the width or the sink.

The depth of your sink will also help to narrow down your choice. If your sink is shallow, you’ll need a bathroom cabinet that doesn’t reach out too far from the wall. Otherwise you’ll risk banging your head every time you lean over your sink! So, measure carefully and check each product’s detailed information for specific dimensions before making a choice.

Storage space under the sink

Another good option for storage and style is having a bathroom cabinet under your sink. It doesn’t take up more floor space than your sink does, but it offers more convenient storage. They also improve the look by hiding the pipes! Free-standing or wall mounted with a large selection of wall cabinets and bathroom tall cabinets, both free standing and wall hung, you’ll find cabinets that fit in any bathroom. That way we’ve got you covered even if your needs for bathroom storage grow over time. Make use of your bathroom walls with handy wall mounted cabinets, a perfect choice for the smaller bathroom.

But if you have some floor space to spare, a tall bathroom shelf is a space efficient super-storer. They can either hold a lot of your essentials or be the new home for your favorite bathroom accessories or decorations.

Daughter loves thisLESTERThis made a big difference as part of a recent renovation to our daughter's bathroom. She loves this storage cabinet.5

Love itSONDRAI love the look of the floating vanity in my small bath. It serves as both a guest and master. The storage is phenomenal. I was able to eliminate a medicine cabinet for a more modern look. I wanted more counter space than the IKEA coordinating tops offered, so I had a local granite shop make me a top from a quartz remnant and bought a ceramic under mount sink from Amazon. Looks amazing. My contractor had to make a small cutout in the back of the top drawer to get the pipe to fit correctly - I think because the sink was deeper than the IKEA one. I bought the coordinating pipe piece - and it works beautifully to make full use of the top drawer. Also bought the coordinating Godmorgon storage units for the drawers! Love !5

Terrible drain design leads to constant clogsDANA L.Love the look of this vanity and the storage from the drawers, but functionally, it is a nightmare. Because there is a 90 degree bend basically half an inch from the drain, water just sits in there and any little thing will clog it. The cage on top of the drain makes it impossible to clean. Our plumber was hesitant to install this, saying that he thought it would clog a lot, but we had already purchased everything, so we decided to go ahead. We should have listened to him! This sink was a constant nightmare. I say "was" because less than two years after having it installed, we're replacing it with a better vanity and sink. I could see this not being a problem in a guest bath or powder room where the sink is not used that often, but in a primary bathroom, no way. I love Ikea design and am so happy with many of their products, but definitely not this one. AVOID!1

Not worth the moneyErika E.I bought this style several years ago in the ebony brown color. I loved it and decided to put the same vanity in a half bath we just finished. The one I bought several years ago was solid wood. I was disappointed with the quality of this one especially for the price. I don’t think this one with the wrapped foil over pressboard looks good nor do I think it’s worth the money. Sadly, I’m very disappointed!1

Spacious and convenient bathroom vanity.KatrinaThe vanity has a lot of storage space in the drawers as well as space for soap and other items on the top. We installed it in a small to medium sized bath and its style is perfect. The wall mounting leaves a spacious appearance. It was easy to put together and looks very nice in our guest bathroom.5

Places you need to know: Funny storage places in the bathroom

A small footage of an apartment sometimes forces owners to solve storage issues in the most unusual ways. Out-of-season things are sent to the mezzanine and under the bed, sports equipment takes its rightful place on the walls, and books are placed on the windowsills or even under them. However, the most difficult thing is to find such a place in the bathroom: trying to organize storage in a small area wisely, it is necessary to use the hidden resources of space. To make it easier for you, we've put together 14 ideas that will work in even the smallest bathroom.

Very narrow shelves
When every centimeter counts, do not mount bulky shelves on the walls and try to organize chaos from jars and containers on them. An alternative solution is long shelves the depth of a tube of cream, running around the perimeter of the bathroom: no wooden corner shelves where it is easy to arrange chaos. The owners of this nautical-style bathroom decided to take the idea to the extreme and place a huge collection of souvenirs on narrow shelves. We propose to use the space more rationally: place cosmetics labeled forward on the shelves so that you no longer lose your favorite cream among a million other jars.

Boho-inspired
For the brave, use pipes as hangers. Such a storage system allows you to solve two interior problems at once: firstly, towels will always be at hand, and secondly, textiles will hide an inexpressive water supply system.

This approach also has disadvantages: only new and bright towels look expressive on pipes, but familiar family textiles from different collections can create a feeling of chaos in the bathroom. In addition, there is a great risk of getting confused, where is whose towel and which one is it time to wash.

Heated shelf
You are lucky if the bathroom has a radiator, because you can organize an additional shelf there. Stone or tempered glass is best suited for this purpose: they are most resistant to heat. By the way, if you store towels on such a shelf, in winter they will warm after a shower.

Curling
Finding the right place for bulky towels is usually the hardest part. Towels that you are currently using should be wisely spread and hung up so that they dry for the next water treatment. But clean ones can be stored in a compressed form. Rolled up, they will fit even on the narrowest shelf that can be hung on any free wall.

Help Handles
Old door handles can be an unexpected help in organizing a storage system. If you feel sorry for throwing away accessories that have served you faithfully for many years, find a place for them in the bathroom by turning them into towel holders. Attach handles at different heights and don't worry if they differ in design: eclecticism is one of today's major decorative trends.

The swivel handle can also find a second life in a shared bathroom: hang a towel or toilet paper roll on it. The second option is more suitable for cylindrical pens: paper will spin freely on them.

COUTURE INTERIORS

Charming casualness
Many families often buy toilet paper in advance. A single roll occupies its rightful place, but where to hide all the rest if there is no special locker for them? We suggest not to hide anything, but to define an ordinary wicker basket for the rolls - it will not take up much space. The most ironic ones can keep read newspapers in the neighborhood.

Strategic reserve
And now - a solution for those who are seriously afraid of a man-made disaster and do not want to be left without hygiene products at a decisive moment. The owners of this bathroom came up with an original zoning scenario: a voluminous partition with compartments for toilet paper was erected between the sink and the toilet. Now they have an incentive to regularly fill the partition with new rolls: the fewer holes, the better the personal space feels.

Paper Head
If you value individuality in the interior and are not ready to accept the purely utilitarian function of the bathroom, the photo provides a great clue. For example, the owners of this bathroom decided that the place for the old mannequin is in the bathroom: now it has a new head, and the owners have a spectacular toilet paper holder.

Hold on tight
When it comes to not only practical use, but also the aesthetic side of the room, it is useful to reconsider your attitude to familiar materials. For example, a rope near the bathroom will be a necessary touch in the interior of a marine theme and will hold a couple of rolls of paper.

If the fasteners are not just decorative, but on a reliable (chemical) dowel, for example, the handle will help the older generation - holding on to such a rope, it is easier to sit down and get up.

In the bathroom, the rope can be used as a holder for shampoo and other tubes. True, this method is not for the lazy: when changing cosmetics, be prepared to tie the loops to the new diameter of the jar.

Justine Hand

You don't have to make your own shelves or order them specifically for your bathroom: regular models from the hallway will also come in handy. By the way, such a design, as in the photo, will play two roles at once: you can place accessories on top, and hang towels on hooks below.

Sasser Construction L.C.

Lost and Found
The question of finding a second sock has long taken its rightful place among the fundamental problems of being, but we have found a way out of the vicious circle. Get a board for your lost sock in the bathroom. To do this, you will need any durable sheet (for example, plywood), a few clothespins and double-sided tape with which you will fix the sheet to the wall.

Away from prying eyes
Smart advice for those who are just thinking about renovating their bathroom and are faced with the need to level the walls: provide narrow niches for small items. The designers of the S-Style studio did just that, decorating a laconic men's apartment: now even toilet paper is hidden in an individual compartment, and small bathroom accessories can be stored in drawers above the sink.

Dseesion (Disposition)

Useful niche
If the interior of the bathroom has niches from built-in plumbing, you most likely have been using them for storage for a long time. Another conversation is what exactly to store in this narrow space.

The owners of the bathroom in the photo opted for books and a couple of accessories. The effect turned out to be slightly ironic, but very honest: now everything you need in moments of thought is at hand.

Street style
The bench is a universal tool in the history of design: representatives of all world cultures use benches in one way or another in the interior or exterior. We suggest finding a place for a narrow bench in the bathroom: there will fit stacked towels, cosmetics for the bathroom, and even a flower pot if you miss wildlife within four walls.

Three tiers
Textured wood never spoils the interior, even when it comes to old drawers and a tiny bathroom. A homemade structure on a rope is a great accessory to use on the bottom of a wall. Three boxes, a strong rope and two hooks in the wall for fixing - and the original bathroom storage system is ready. Place items you don't use every day underneath so you don't have to bend over all the time. On the top tier it will be convenient to place the most popular cosmetics.

The bathroom is one of the smallest rooms in the house, and it should accommodate towels, hygiene products, household chemicals and various small things. We will tell you how to easily organize storage places here

The bathroom is one of the smallest rooms in the house, and towels, hygiene products, household chemicals and many different little things should be placed in it. Today we will tell you how to easily organize the storage of all the necessary items in the bathroom.

1. Make use of the space under the sink

Whether you use the sink on a pedestal, countertop or in combination with a cabinet, try to adapt every centimeter of space to your needs. Build in additional shelves, use baskets and hanging elements so as not to lose useful storage space.

2. Organize storage in lockers

Think of a smart system of shelves, baskets and containers to organize storage in the most efficient way. A lot of little things can create real chaos, so divide things into groups: shower supplies in one container, household chemicals in another, towels on your shelf.

Don't forget about the surface of the doors: you can place a hanger for a hair dryer or mini shelves for small things on them.

3. Use the space under the bath

Today, bath screens have become much more functional and allow you to use the space around the bath. Custom storage screens can be made to suit your space requirements.

4. Add functionality to the side of the tub

The bath does not always occupy the entire length of the room, leaving a small gap between itself and the wall surface. This space can be used for shallow shelving or a shelving system.

And even if the length of the bath is the same as the length of the room itself, one of the walls above it can be easily adapted for shower accessories or towels.

5. Integrate narrow pull-out shelves

Take a trick usually used for narrow spaces in the kitchen and add pull-out shelves to awkward corners of the bathroom. They will not only allow you to place a lot of little things, but also will not clutter up the space.

6. Fill in corners with open shelves

Any surface or awkward corner can be filled with neat open shelves.
