Interior vases - 40 vases for home with photo
Table vases
Dimensions
Table vases - those whose height is less than 40 cm.
will look in the interior.
The vase can be the size of a small mug, like these crumbs by designer Tanya Klimenko. You can put one bright flower in such a vase or use it as an independent accessory.
Small vases do not attract much attention, especially if they are made in basic colors: white, gray, beige. They can complement a beautiful composition on a chest of drawers and not be afraid that they will outshine other accessories.
The larger the vase, the more noticeable it is. And if you put a beautiful bouquet in it, it will become one of the main accents in the room.
Large cylindrical glass vase does not distract from the contents. Do not be afraid to experiment and put leaves or tree branches in it. It can turn out to be a very bright composition.
Classic shape
The classic vase has a round shape that tapers towards the neck. It will fit well into a classic or rococo interior.
You can put a bouquet of delicate lush roses, peonies or hydrangeas in it. They soften the strict lines of the interior. You can read about what other plants will fit into different interior styles in our article “Flowers for the interior: style tips from florists”.
Unusual shape
Every year designers delight us with their unusual vase ideas.
These vases by designer Katya Tolstykh are made in the style of Soviet brutalism. At the same time, pastel colors allow you to fit them into the most delicate and airy interior.
The Suck UK vase will appeal to lovers of animals and unusual accessories.
These marble flower vases are designed by Zaha Hadid. It seems to us that they would successfully fit even into harsh brutalism or a loft.
For bouquets
If you love decorating your home with fresh flowers, you will surely love our selection of table vases.
Be sure to place the vase in a conspicuous place so that the flowers get enough sunlight. In winter, avoid proximity to the battery - flowers fade faster from dry and warm air.
For all sorts of things
If you, like Uncle Fyodor's father, think that flowers are impractical, we suggest filling the vase with fruit.
Or forged flowers. And they look good and last a long time.
Shells from the last vacation will look good in a transparent vase. They didn't take it in vain.
For beauty
There are vases that do not need any filling. They are beautiful and unusual in their own right, like this decorative vase from Fuga.
There are table vases with lids. Feel free to put them on the shelf, and if the guests ask what is there, you can smile mysteriously.
Vase in the shape of a house, a cactus or a martini glass - don't be afraid to experiment.
Floor vases
Floor vases look good in a spacious room with high ceilings.
Before buying one, carefully consider how it will fit into the interior. A floor vase is no longer just an accessory, but a significant and very noticeable piece of decor.
She doesn't even have to be huge to be noticeable. But still, it should look like a floor vase, and not a tabletop vase that was accidentally placed on the floor. Otherwise, you will be haunted by the desire to rearrange it in place.
As well as tabletop vases, floor vases can be transparent so as not to distract from the contents or have an unusual pattern or shape.
How to make a vase with your own hands
If you still can't find the perfect vase, you can try to make it yourself.
Try covering a suitably shaped bottle or jar with acrylic paint and stenciling the design.
Acrylic paint can be replaced with a metallic spray. Carry out painting outside and do not forget to wear a respirator.
Matte paint can be used as a coating, the main thing is to apply it carefully so that the surface is even, without smudges.
And with liquid nails, you can wrap the bottle with twine. A little imagination - and you get an interesting accessory.
If after buying a vase the old coffee table seems useless, and along with it you want to change the chair, carpet and curtains, it's time to take our style preferences test. It will help determine the style and avoid unsuccessful purchases.
DIY vase - a master class from Eli.ru
Often we choose cute little things for the house: souvenirs, piggy banks and small paintings. Such items make the atmosphere in the room cozier and warmer. We decorate lockers with them, hang them on the walls. And, of course, give to loved ones to show their love. And even if we do not notice all these little things every day, they are an integral part of the interior and our life.
How often do you make jewelry yourself? After all, handmade accessories are even dearer, and therefore more valuable. We do not just decorate a frame for a photo, but imagine how it will complement a family card. We don’t just knit a soft scarf for dad, but we think how warm he will be in the cold. We do not just create decor for the shelf, but we know that the little thing will settle in our house for many years. Let's make a beautiful unusual vase for a bouquet of flowers with our own hands and find a suitable place for it in our room.
A vase is an independent piece of furniture. You can put a small bouquet in it, but even without flowers it will become an original element of decor. And if before, between the holidays, elegant containers were removed away and hidden from view, now leading designers recognize them as a fashion trend in the design of home space. And you can choose or make a little thing in any style and for any environment.
Most often, a do-it-yourself vase is made on the basis of an existing vessel. The usual capacity is complemented by interesting details, and a spectacular bouquet is obtained. Although there are ways to make an accessory from scratch. What is used as a base?
- Bottles, jars, decanters. Any dish can be decorated in various ways. Even old things will find a second life after the update. Suitable for both glass and plastic items. In addition, unusual works are obtained from tin cans. The only question is fantasy - can you change them beyond recognition?
- Plaster. Try to create the basis of a vase for flowers from this material with your skillful hands. We will still need a plastic bottle to make the frame, but we will remove it later. This means that the result - a decorated plaster vessel - can be called a 100% handmade creation.
Whichever way you choose, get the kids involved. The smallest, of course, will not be able to work with gypsum, but they will be very happy to glue a multi-colored butterfly on the finished container. And remember: one head is good, but two is better. Joint creativity will help to create a real masterpiece and interestingly organize your day. After all, time spent with family is priceless.
How to make a unique vase from a glass container with your own hands - what to choose for decoration
Jugs, bottles, carafes - any glass container is suitable for decoration. Even tall glasses or large snifters will become the original basis for a future vase. But first, the products should be prepared for work - the surface must be cleaned and degreased for better bonding of parts. So let's get started:
- remove all labels with hot water and a brush;
- we remove the remains of glue with a solvent;
- wipe the surface with acetone or alcohol.
After this treatment, the container can be decorated. They do it in different ways using any materials. Suitable colored paper, tow thread, ropes, ribbons, lace, beads, pebbles and more. Snow from a can will decorate the jar with magical winter landscapes. Paints for stained glass will help to depict pictures of natural beauty on glass. Choose a technique and connect your imagination - each idea will be embodied on the walls of a craft vase.
Colored stripes and rectangles
A bright, unusual little thing will turn out if you stick lines of corrugated paper on a vessel. Decide on a color scheme and cut strips of different widths and shades. You can choose close or opposite tones, warm or cold. It all depends on the interior of your room.
Glue the lines horizontally around the bottle. If you cut the paper into rectangles, you can arrange them in any order: in a checkerboard pattern, randomly, or with a beautiful gradient of shades of the same color. Decorate a homemade vase with rhinestones, beads or buttons in suitable tones.
Winter forest
Crisp snow and pines asleep for the winter can be depicted on a glass jar using stained glass paints. Print and cut out tree templates, attach them to the surface and circle with a silver marker. Complete the outlines of the drawings and color them in white. Glue on rhinestones or mother-of-pearl beads to make the snowball sparkle in the sun. Thin shiny tinsel on the neck completes the picture. Thus, you will get a truly New Year's vase that will add some winter magic to the interior.
Autumn Harvest
The brightest season of the year should be reflected on the walls of a handmade vase. We completely cover the prepared vessel with plasticine of suitable shades: orange, yellow, green, red. We will decorate with autumn gifts: pumpkin seeds, acorns, colorful leaves, dry rowan tassels. This decor will remind us that autumn is not only rain, cold and slush, but also a wonderful time that brings a big harvest.
Cords, braided threads, ribbons
An unusual and beautiful piece of decor can be obtained by simply wrapping the base bottle. The result will be monophonic masterpieces or striped creations in contrasting colors. Or maybe you decide to create a whole set of small neat vases with your talented hands? In this case, try different options.
Apply PVA glue to the glass. It dries quickly, so do not coat the entire base, do it in sections. Pull the thread tightly, leaving no gaps between the rows. You can use thin rope, ribbons, yarn or lace.
Simple tin vase
Don't rush to put the can in the bucket. Rinse and dry the jar thoroughly. Take a package of wooden clothespins and attach them in a circle to the sides of the container. Add decor in the form of pebbles, beads or figures cut out of cardboard. Of course, it is better not to pour water into such a product, so for live bouquets, place a narrow glass in the center. But you can do without it by placing dried flowers or artificial twigs inside.
How to make a vase from a plastic bottle with your own hands
Bottles of any size are suitable for work. The main thing is to decorate them correctly. Cut off the neck and give the plastic the desired shape. And we will decorate using decoupage technique. We will need paper napkins with beautiful patterns, glue, white acrylic paint and varnish.
- We paint the plastic surface.
- We select and cut out pictures for decoupage from napkins.
- We apply glue to the workpiece.
- Attach images and smooth them with a wet brush.
- We cover the product with acrylic varnish.
After drawing the main pattern, add decorative details: a ribbon along the contour from above, beads, ribbons or rhinestones. Original handmade flower vases can not only be placed on a shelf or window, but also hung on the wall with a strong rope. And after making holes in the bottom with an awl and picking up a plate, such a creation is easy to use as a pot for a home plant.
Gypsum vessel - the basis for the bouquet
100% handmade product is easy to get by learning how to work with this material. Both small simple vases for decorating shelves and massive flowerpots for the garden are made from it. The basis is a plastic bottle of a suitable size. First of all, you need to prepare the surface of the table: cover it with oilcloth. Having diluted the gypsum mass according to the instructions, we get down to business.
- Spread the solution around in the center of the working area, put a plastic blank on it.
- We apply the mass on the bottle from the bottom up, covering the walls with a thick layer.
- Wrap the surface with gauze, leave for half an hour.
- Carefully remove the plastic frame.
- Again we make a gypsum mortar and repeat all the steps several times, wrapping each layer with gauze.
- Leave the homemade vase to dry completely for a day.
- Sand the surface with sandpaper.
Any materials can be used to decorate a plaster product. Decoupage looks beautiful on a snow-white vessel with images of bright flowers. Painting with paints on a festive theme is suitable. And decorating with white foam balls, salt or sugar crystals will help to remind you of winter. The main thing is that the element matches the interior and your mood. For more examples of do-it-yourself vases, see our photos.
What to put in a ready-made accessory
For a long time, these cute little things have been used not only for living plants, but also as an independent decoration of the room. You can store useful little things, decorative items in them, or leave them empty. In any case, the accessory will add zest to the decor of the room.
Filling options for original products:
- colored stones and glass;
- snow flakes or artificial ice;
- pearl beads or diamond rhinestones;
- coffee beans or cotton buds;
- fresh fruits and sweets;
- coniferous twigs or bunch of autumn leaves;
- artificial fruits and berries;
- Christmas balls or garlands.
As you can see, you can put anything in the accessory. You just need to show imagination. After all, it is precisely simple objects that place accents in the interior, making it warm and homely. Such trifles reflect our mood, character, and therefore the house is filled with comfort. After all, we ourselves create it the way we want to see it every day.
Small hand-made vases will not only be a good decoration for an apartment or office.
