A good cordless vacuum is a helpful addition to any household cleaning arsenal. When you don't need to worry about staying in range of an outlet, it's easy to clean small, out-of-the-way areas not only inside your home but also in tighter spaces like car interiors. You also don't have to worry about a power cord getting snagged on a piece of furniture and bringing a frustrating pause to your cleaning session. However, despite recent strides in extending overall battery life, a cordless vacuum still can't offer the worry-free indefinite runtime of a corded vacuum. For many, however, this trade-off is worth the near-infinite range that these appliances have.
We've tested over 130 vacuum cleaners, and below are our recommendations for the best cordless vacuum cleaners to buy. We selected these picks based on their performance on different surface types and their feature set, battery life, and price. For more options, look at our lists of the best vacuums, our best cordless stick vacuums, and the best vacuums for high-pile carpet.

The Dyson V15 Detect is the best cordless vacuum we've tested. This vacuum has a 230AW suction motor, which is remarkably potent for a vacuum of this type and allows it to clear away a wide range of debris on different surfaces. Its onboard piezo sensor measures and counts debris being sucked into the vacuum so that you can keep an eye on allergen levels inside your home, while its surface detection system allows it to automatically raise its suction power on carpeted floors. This vacuum isn't too heavy and is fairly easy to maneuver in cluttered areas. Unfortunately, its strong suction force can cause it to get bogged down on thicker rugs.
If you're looking for a cordless vacuum that's even better suited for those with allergies, the Samsung Bespoke Jet is a solid option, as it comes with a charging rack that doubles as a self-emptying station; with the press of a button, debris is sucked from the vacuum's dustbin through an airtight seal into a dirtbag. However, the Samsung vacuum lacks Dyson's automatic power adjustment feature, and its twin roller floorhead is bulkier and makes it less maneuverable.

If you're shopping at an upper mid-range price point, the Miele Triflex HX1 is among the best cordless vacuums we've tested. This uniquely-designed cordless vacuum can be used as a stick, upright, or handheld vacuum, letting you quickly adapt to several different cleaning situations on the fly. It also feels well-built for a vacuum of this type, with a body made mainly from high-grade plastic. Unfortunately, it has a much smaller dirt compartment than the Dyson V15 Detect, and its max battery life of a little over 30 minutes doesn't give you nearly as much time to clean. If you're looking for a similarly-priced alternative with better battery performance, the Dyson V12 Detect Slim is a solid alternative, albeit with an even smaller dustbin and flimsier build quality.
Performance on bare surfaces is exceptional, and the vacuum does a good job of clearing away debris on carpeted floors without getting bogged down in plush rugs. Its surface detection system lets it adapt to the surface type that you're on, and it can even stop its brushroll automatically if it gets tangled in something.

The Samsung Jet 75 is a great option if you're looking at the affordable end of the scale. It feels a little less sturdy than the Miele Triflex HX1, but it does offer quite a bit of bang for the buck. Its 200AW suction motor is very powerful for a cordless vacuum in this price range, enabling it to easily clear away small and heavy debris on a range of surface types. The Complete variant of this vacuum comes with two batteries, each of which can provide over an hour of use, making it a much better fit for longer cleaning sessions than the Miele. Its five-stage filtration system is also highly effective in sealing allergens.
The Complete model with a self-emptying base station, which reduces hands-on maintenance requirements since you won't have to empty its dustbin yourself. Unfortunately, it lacks an automatic surface detection system, and if that's a feature you're looking for in a cordless vacuum, check out the Tineco PURE ONE S11. However, the Tineco falls short of the Samsung in debris pickup performance and feels flimsier.

The best budget cordless vacuum we've tested is the Wyze Cordless Vacuum. While its thin plasticky body feels less durable than the Samsung Jet 75, it's cheaper and still delivers strong overall debris pickup on most surfaces, though its weaker suction motor does mean it struggles more with lifting debris from deep cracks and crevices. It performs impressively well on carpets, is highly effective in dealing with pet hair, and does a good job on bare floors, though bulky material can get stuck at the entry to its dustbin. Unlike many other budget-friendly vacuums, it has a HEPA filter to trap fine particles as you clean, which is great if you suffer from allergies. It supplies a maximum of one hour of runtime in its most energy-efficient 'ECO' mode, though its runtime drops to a little over 10 minutes if you run it in its high-power 'TURBO' mode.
If you're looking for a budget-friendly cordless vacuum that struggles less with bulky debris, you could consider the Tineco PURE ONE X, which has a longer battery life and charges much faster. However, it doesn't perform as well on carpeted floors as the Wyze, has a smaller dustbin, and uses a non-removable battery, so you can't swap in a new pack if the current unit's performance degrades. If you prioritize build quality, the Samsung Jet 60 is better built than the Wyze but has a shorter battery life.

If you want a cordless vacuum with a higher capacity dustbin than most stick models, the Shark Vertex Pro Powered Lift-Away is a very good option. Compared to the similarly-priced Samsung Jet 75, it exchanges maneuverability for a larger internal dustbin that won't need emptying as often. Besides, it's still more maneuverable and easier to store than the average corded upright, like the Shark Rotator Lift-Away ADV. Its 'Lift-Away' design enables you to pick up and carry its canister body separately from its floorhead, making it easier to clean hard-to-reach areas like on top of shelves or behind couches and chairs. It has a solid range of attachments, including an upholstery tool that does a great job of cleaning pet hair on fabric surfaces and a fine-bristle dusting brush for cleaning delicate surfaces.
Performance is strong across the board, with good debris pickup on bare floors and high-pile carpet. While it does offer two different levels of surface adjustment, these settings only affect the speed of its brushrolls, not their height, so the vacuum can sometimes get stuck on dense shag-pile carpeting. Need a more portable cordless upright? The Hoover ONEPWR Evolve Pet is worth considering. However, it feels considerably less robust and offers terrible air filtration performance.

Notable Mentions
- Shark Vertex Pro Lightweight: The Shark Vertex Pro Lightweight is a cordless stick vacuum that represents a good alternative to the Miele Triflex HX1, thanks to its long battery life and flexible wand. However, it's notably heavier and doesn't perform as well on carpets. See our review
- JASHEN V16: The JASHEN V16 is a relatively affordable cordless stick vacuum with two swappable brushrolls: one for bare floors and one for carpets. Unfortunately, compared to the similarly-priced Wyze Cordless Vacuum, it struggles with bulky debris like cereal, which can clog the entry to its dirt compartment. See our review
- Samsung Jet 90 Complete: The Samsung Jet 90 Complete is a great alternative to the Dyson V15 Detect if you're looking for a slightly larger dirt compartment and broadly similar overall performance. It lacks the Dyson vacuum's dirt sensor and automatic power adjustment capability. See our review
- Samsung Jet 70: The Samsung Jet 70 has a lot in common with the cheaper Samsung Jet 60, as it uses the same 150AW motor and 1800 mAh battery but comes bundled with a more effective multi-surface floorhead. However, it has a less powerful motor than the only slightly pricier Samsung Jet 75, and it uses lower-capacity batteries, resulting in a shorter runtime. See our review

Cordless stick vacuums are helpful tools when you need something lightweight and portable. Since they don't have a power cord, you don't have to worry about range or managing the cable when you finish cleaning. They're also easier to carry up and down stairs or into different rooms than traditional upright or canister vacuums. Some people may even prefer how they feel in hand, as they can be lighter to maneuver around the room. That said, they come with disadvantages related to their battery performance. If you don't mind the charge time or their short active battery life, they can be a suitable addition to any home.
We've tested over 130 vacuum cleaners, and below are our recommendations for the best stick vacuums with a cordless design to buy. These picks were selected not only on their performance on different surfaces but also their feature set, battery life, and price. For more buying recommendations, check out our articles for the best cordless vacuums, the best cordless vacuums for pet hair, and the best vacuums for high-pile carpet.

The Dyson V15 Detect is the best cordless stick vacuum we've tested. It delivers superb overall performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets, though its strong suction force can make it hard to push around on some rugs. It can automatically adjust its suction power depending on the surface type you're cleaning. It also has a dirt sensor that measures and counts the size of debris sucked into the vacuum, which will be helpful if you want to know about the presence of fine particles in your home. While this vacuum can run for more than 70 minutes of battery life in its most energy-efficient configuration, its runtime drops to a little under 10 minutes when using it in its 'Boost' suction mode, so you need to work quickly when cleaning stubborn debris. It also feels fragile in places, which is disappointing for a vacuum at this price point.
If you don't need the Dyson vacuum's automatic surface detection system or particle sensor, the Samsung Jet 90 Complete is a great alternative that delivers similarly strong performance across a wide range of surface types.

The best upper mid-range cordless stick vacuum we've tested is the Miele Triflex HX1. Its maximum battery life of about half an hour is considerably shorter than the Dyson V15 Detect, and it's a little heavier. However, it does have a few advantages other than its lower price tag. Chief among those is its superior build quality, with a body made mainly from thick, high-grade plastic that feels sturdier than the thinner material used by the Dyson. The Miele's unique three-in-one design enables you to configure it as a stick, upright, or handheld vacuum, depending on how you arrange its motor unit, wand, and floorhead. Like the Dyson, it has a surface detection system that tweaks its suction power to match the surface that it's on; it can also stop the rotation of its brushroll if something gets tangled within it.
Unfortunately, its dustbin is pretty small for a vacuum of this type and will require frequent emptying. It also has a very small range of included attachments, with only a soft-bristle dusting brush, a straight-suction upholstery tool, and a crevice tool for clearing away debris in tight spots. If you want something with a wider array of tools, the Dyson V12 Detect Slim is a great alternative, though it feels flimsier and has an even smaller dustbin.

If you're looking for something on the more affordable end of things, the Samsung Jet 75 is a great choice. It doesn't feel quite as sturdy as the Miele Triflex HX1 and can't automatically adapt to different surface types. However, it has its share of advantages aside from its cheaper price tag. Its 200AW motor is very potent for a cordless vacuum, especially in this price bracket. It's even more effective than the Miele when it comes to clearing away debris on carpeted floors, though its strong suction force can sometimes cause it to get stuck on really thick carpeting. Like all of Samsung's other stick vacuums, it has a five-stage filtration system that's very effective at sealing in allergens.
Pricier variants come with two batteries, each of which supplies almost an hour of runtime and make it suitable for longer cleaning sessions. They also come with a self-emptying base station, which reduces hands-on maintenance requirements since you won't have to shake out its dustbin manually. Want a mid-priced cordless vacuum with an automatic power adjustment feature? The Tineco PURE ONE S11 is a solid alternative, though it feels flimsier, has a less powerful suction motor, and isn't compatible with a self-emptying base station.

The best budget-friendly cordless stick vacuum we've tested is the Wyze Cordless Vacuum. It isn't as potent as the Samsung Jet 75 and feels a little more fragile, but it's cheaper and still delivers excellent overall performance. It performs very well on carpets and does a very good job on bare floors, though bulky debris can clog the entry to its dustbin. Unusually for a vacuum at this price point, it offers HEPA filtration and has an LED touchscreen display that lets you change its suction power mode or monitor its battery life. It also comes with a combination upholstery tool/soft-bristle dusting brush and a crevice tool. No turbo brush is in the box, but you can purchase this attachment from the manufacturer.
If you're looking for a budget-friendly cordless stick vacuum with a turbo brush included in the box, you could look at the Tineco PURE ONE X. Not only does it feature an additional attachment, but it doesn't struggle with bulky debris and charges faster while offering a longer battery life. However, it's harder to maneuver, has a smaller dirt compartment, and has more parts that need regular cleaning.

If you're looking for a cordless stick vacuum that's lightweight and easy to carry around, the Xiaomi Mi Vacuum Cleaner Light is worth a look. At little over four pounds, this vacuum is considerably lighter than most conventional cordless stick vacuums, even relatively flyweight models like the Wyze Cordless Vacuum. It makes picking it up and carrying it around a cinch, and since you can clip on its dusting brush and crevice tool to the end of its wand, it's very easy to clean any hard-to-reach areas. However, with most of its admittedly light weight being at its motor unit, it can feel a little unbalanced, especially when pulling backward on carpeted floors.
The flip side of this very compact design is a relatively weak suction motor, making it less effective than the Wyze when it comes to deep-cleaning carpeted floors, though it does do a pretty good job when it comes to handling pet hair and lightweight debris on surfaces like hardwood or vinyl. It also has a tiny dirt compartment that needs emptying pretty often.

If you're looking for a cordless stick vacuum that's a good fit for those who suffer from allergies, consider the Samsung Bespoke Jet. Generally speaking, bagless vacuums like this aren't the best option if you have allergies; regardless of how advanced their filtration system is, shaking out a dustbin still releases a cloud of dust, which is much less hygienic than simply tossing out a sealed dirtbag. However, this vacuum differs from most by coming bundled with a combination charging rack/self-emptying station, which sucks debris from the vacuum's dustbin when it's docked through an airtight seal and into a disposable dirtbag, meaning you don't have to worry about emptying its dustbin manually. The vacuum itself also has a five-stage filtration system.
In terms of performance, does a great job of dealing with debris on bare floors and carpeting, though it does fall ever so slightly short of the Dyson V15 Detect on low-pile carpeting and bare floors. One point in its favor is that it comes with two batteries that can be charged at the same time, effectively doubling your potential runtime and making it a great option for longer cleaning sessions. However, its dual-roller floorhead is considerably bulkier than the Dyson vacuum's single-roller head, making it more of a hassle to maneuver.

Notable Mentions
- Dyson V8: The Dyson V8 is a cordless stick/handheld vacuum that doesn't perform as well as the Dyson V15 Detect on any surface type, but it still has a fantastic performance on bare floors and does a good job on carpets as well. While it doesn't have a surface-type adjustment feature, it's less expensive and has less demanding maintenance needs. See our review
- Dyson V11: The Dyson V11 is a cordless stick/handheld vacuum. Although it has a very good overall performance, it doesn't perform as well as the Dyson V15 Detect on any surface type. See our review
- Shark Vertex Pro Lightweight: The Shark Vertex Pro Lightweight is a versatile cordless stick handheld vacuum. However, it lags behind the Samsung Jet 75 in maneuverability and debris pickup. See our review
- Samsung Jet 70: The Samsung Jet 70 is a mid-range cordless stick vacuum that sits below the Samsung Jet 75. It's nominally only slightly cheaper than the Jet 75 but uses a lower-capacity battery and a less powerful 150 AW motor. See our review

Top 5 Best Cordless Vacuum Cleaners Reviewed by Gigant Store
For more than 100 years, vacuum cleaners have helped people deal with dust and debris in their homes, acting as brooms and carpet brushes. Electric devices significantly simplify the cleaning process, saving time and effort for the user.
In Russia, there are dozens of vacuum cleaner brands and thousands of different models to choose from. Every day more and more advanced models appear, with the possibility of wet cleaning and steam cleaner functions, wireless vacuum cleaners and “smart” devices for cleaning apartments and cars. It is easy to get lost in the characteristics and capabilities of devices even for professionals, not to mention people who purchase a device for many years of service. To make it easier for you, we decided to prepare for you the top 5 best cordless vacuum cleaners that are really worth paying attention to.
Contents
This upright cordless vacuum cleaner is designed for dry cleaning. The key feature of the device is its design and low weight - 2.1 kg. You can easily carry it throughout the apartment or to different floors of the house, because in addition to the fact that the vacuum cleaner is lightweight, the user is not tied to an outlet!
The device is equipped with a 2000 mAh battery for long battery life. The 0.6 liter container allows you to clean the apartment without the need for constant cleaning of the vacuum cleaner from debris.
Other advantages of the Redmond vacuum cleaner are the low noise level during operation and additional attachments for specific purposes.
Dyson V8 Absolute - the best car vacuum cleaner from home models
The
Dyson Cordless Vacuum Cleaner includes a cyclone filter and the option to use a car interior cleaner.
The capacity of this model's dust collector is 0.54 liters, which is quite enough for modern residential apartments and small offices.
With its stylish design and small dimensions, V8 Absolute will fit into any interior, and a capacious battery allows you to clean away from outlets.
Thanks to these advantages, the device has rightfully entered our top 5 best vacuum cleaners.
Xiaomi Roidmi F8 - for cleaning furniture, mattresses and pillows
Our rating of the best vacuum cleaners for the home rightfully includes the Xiaomi Roidmi F8 model with a suction power of 18,500 Pa.
For comfortable cleaning of small apartments and offices, a container with a capacity of 0.4 liters is provided. One of the interesting features of the device is the presence of a magnetic wall mount. This allows you to significantly save space in the living room.
The device is replete with special attachments, including:
- Furniture brush;
- Brush for mattresses and pillows;
- Turbo brush;
- Crevice tool.
For more productive work, you can synchronize the device with a smartphone, on which you need to install a special application on which you can configure the settings for the vacuum cleaner.
Philips PowerPro Aqua FC 6404 is one of the best washing vacuum cleaners
The top of the best cordless vacuum cleaners relevant in 2019 continues with the Philips PowerPro Aqua FC 6404 model. The device is perfect for both dry and wet cleaning.
This is a maneuverable and lightweight device that is easy to carry around the room, thanks to thoughtful ergonomics. The vacuum cleaner is equipped with PowerCyclone technology, which is supported by a 3-layer filter. This configuration prevents the spread of even the smallest microbes.
For wet cleaning, a special nozzle is provided, which is attached to magnets. For cleaning floor coverings with water, the structure has a special system that regulates the amount of water during the cleaning process.
Morphy Richards 734050EE - powerful vacuum cleaner with 4 cleaning stages
Many experts call the British model of cordless vacuum cleaner the best in its class. The device deserves this title in many respects due to the presence of a 4-stage cleaning system and a solid air flow power (110 watts).
Another advantage of the Morphy Richards 734050EE is the package bundle. For example, the vacuum cleaner comes with an electric brush with a 3D bearing, which guarantees excellent maneuverability.
High-quality assembly of the product suggests that it will be able to serve the user for many years. Not the most capacious dust collector (0.5 liters) and battery (one charge is enough for about 1 hour) can slightly spoil the overall impression, but this is quite enough for a small apartment.
We hope that after our article you will be able to compare vacuum cleaners and decide on the best and most suitable sample for you. Buy equipment wisely!
Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Reliability Rating.
We regularly review various devices and gadgets. Alas, at a short distance it is not always possible to talk about the reliability of, for example, the same vacuum cleaners. Found a solution! We called those who bought upright cordless vacuum cleaners from our review about a year and a half ago and asked them to share their impressions: does the model suit you, were there any breakdowns or shortcomings, and if so, which ones? We share the results of our research.
For an objective comparison, we interviewed 20 buyers of each product. A reliability rating of 100% will be given to those models for which there were no complaints. If there were complaints or breakdowns, we subtract negative reviews from the overall rating.
Dreame V11 is still the current 2020 model. Stylish and functional upright vacuum cleaner with color display. The set includes an electric brush with a roller for hard surfaces, a mini electric brush for cleaning upholstered furniture, a 2-in-1 crevice nozzle with narrow bristles for cleaning hard-to-reach places, and a wide nozzle with bristles. In addition, the kit has a flexible extension hose with contacts that allow you to connect to it, including an electric brush. The storage bracket allows you to place, in addition to the vacuum cleaner itself, additional nozzles, which is quite convenient, as well as charge the device. The battery is lithium-ion, the maximum declared operating time is 1.5 hours. The vacuum cleaner is fully charged from scratch in 4 hours.
Dreame V11. Reliability rating: 90%
18 people out of 20 are completely satisfied with the device. They note its convenience, low weight and long work on a single charge. Someone bought parents - and also no complaints.
Only two buyers had comments. In the first case, there was not enough power. And in the second instance it turned out to be unsuccessful: 3 times I had to carry it in for repairs.

Viomi A9 comes with an electric brush with LED light. The mini electric brush, like the model above, is used for soft upholstery. In addition, the kit includes a 2 in 1 nozzle and a narrow crevice nozzle, as well as a wall bracket. The battery is removable, lithium-ion. The maximum operating time is approximately 1 hour, the charging time is 3.5 hours.

Most customers are satisfied. Lightweight, comfortable, love the lighting. The dust container is easy to clean. Someone even said that his daughter bought the same one. And another customer said that of the three upright vacuums bought earlier, Viomi is the best.
Only one customer out of 20 is dissatisfied: the defective copy has already been repaired twice.

Jimmy JV85 Pro has perhaps the richest package of all five models. The tube has a flexible hinge for comfortable cleaning under beds and nightstands. The main brush comes with a roller for hard surfaces, but there is a replacement for carpets in the kit. The mini electric brush, according to the manufacturer, is perfect for cleaning mattresses. A flexible hose, like that of Dreame, is included in the kit, but there are no contacts for connecting an electric brush on it. Nozzles 2 in 1 two: wide and narrow. The set also includes a nozzle with soft bristles and a special swivel adapter for cleaning high surfaces. The storage base is plugged into a socket, the vacuum cleaner is charged directly on it. The battery lasts for a maximum of 70 minutes of cleaning, a full charge will take about 5 hours.

17 out of 20 respondents are satisfied with the purchased vacuum cleaner. Praised for a convenient folding tube, with which you do not need to bend down to clean under furniture. Powerful, versatile: can also be used in the car. Among the minuses that were announced, it discharges rather quickly, especially after a while. For one of the buyers, the vacuum cleaner itself did not work out the warranty period, for another, the electric brush failed.

The model came out last year. Xiaomi Mi Handheld Pro G10 is not only an upright vacuum cleaner, but also supports wet cleaning! The kit includes a water container with a microfiber nozzle, which is clipped right behind the electric brush. In general, you can do two things at once. In addition to the main electric nozzle and the wet cleaning container, the set also includes a small electric brush, a 2 in 1 nozzle, a crevice nozzle and a wall base. The latter has the ability to charge the vacuum cleaner, but you can connect the adapter without it. The maximum operating time is just over an hour, the battery is fully charged from zero in 4 hours.
An important difference and advantage, in addition to wet cleaning, is the presence of an auto mode that selects the power level itself depending on the surface and changes it, for example, when switching from tile to carpet and vice versa. Eco mode and high power mode are also available. The battery is removable, but the reviews say that it often fails. We check.

Of the 20 customers, only two had problems with the vacuum cleaner. In the first case, the battery failed, but, having applied for a guarantee, the client received his money back. In the second case, the vacuum cleaner itself failed. As shortcomings - I would like more autonomy. For an apartment of 70 "squares" in the maximum mode, it may not be enough. The remaining 18 buyers are satisfied with the model, noting a convenient button with a latch, an informative display, wet cleaning, as well as a small weight of the device.

Finally, the Dyson V8 Animal+. The brand has been around for a long time and occupies a strong position in the premium segment. The main electric brush, mini electric brush, crevice nozzle and 2 in 1 nozzle - we have already seen all this above. But the flexible crevice nozzle with removable bristles is really something new! The storage base is simple, no charging function. Externally, the vacuum cleaner does not look very modern: the model is no longer new. The maximum battery life is about 40 minutes, charging time is 5 hours. There are also modifications of the model with a different configuration, you can compare them at the link.

Shares victory with Viomi: 19 out of 20 satisfied owners. Users like the ease and reliability of the device. Satisfied are those who bought a vacuum cleaner for their parents. As a note, you have to keep your hand on the button all the time, but it's a matter of habit. And only one buyer had problems: the battery first began to quickly sit down at maximum mode, and then completely failed.
