Green is a calming, centering color—the color of rejuvenation—so it's a great choice for bathrooms. Often overlooked, green is a somewhat unexpected, but often stunning shade for nearly any bathroom. From emerald to sage, this color can provide a moment of calm before you start your day or as you get ready for bedtime.
Green is an incredibly versatile and flexible color, perfect for modern bathrooms or classic ones. Whether you want to splash a coat of paint on your vanity (like this stunning hunter green version from craven_haven) or you are into a total tile revamp, here's some inspiration to make you want to go green.

Create Your Own Built-In
claire.a.ramshaw / Instagram
We love this bathroom from claire.a.ramshaw, which creates the illusion of a built-in shelving unit with a single coat of paint. This rich green not only makes the whole space appear larger, but by painting the shelf the same shade as the wall, it almost blends into it and becomes invisible.
We often shy away from dark colors because we're scared they will make small spaces feel claustrophobic, but the truth is that a deep moody color like green will actually push the walls out and give the room more depth.

Green bathroom: 78 design photo ideas interior design from IVD.ru
Soothing, soothing and one of the most popular colors in interior design - it's all about green. The bathroom is no exception, designers often use different shades both for finishing touches and as a base. We tell you what you can learn from them: from choosing green bathroom tiles to details and accessories.
Decorating the bathroom in green
Choosing a shade
Classic combinations
— Achromatic
— With color
Textures and materials
Interior use
This is one of the richest colors in the palette. Finding the right color is easy. If you don't like a pure color, look for more complex ones. Here and khaki, and grassy, and bottled, and almost turquoise, mixed with blue, and olive, and many others.
They differ in warmth and brightness. Cold ones include those that have a blue undertone: for example, malachite, jade and patina. Warm are those that have yellow, red or brown in the subtone - depending on the saturation. Typical in this range are khaki, olive, marsh and grassy.

When choosing a shade, it is important to consider its environment. Some are revealed in a light palette, others are harmonious in a dark one. Let's see how designers use combinations?
With achromatic tones
Achromatic are shades that are not included in the Itten color wheel. These are gray, white, black and their transitions. It is believed that they are combined with absolutely the entire palette.
One of the basic rules of color is that colors match in brightness. That is, dark - to dark, light - to light. The same principle applies to saturation.
- Based on these rules, saturated dark ones will be best combined with black: bottled, grassy, khaki, dirty, dusty.
- Pale light colors will look good with white: mint, classic light green, pale olive.
- Green tones can complement black and white or gray tones. In the second case, the selection principle is the same: dark green with asphalt and graphite, light colors with pale gray.

With color
There is no unequivocal answer to the question of what color goes well with green in the bathroom. Gamma largely depends on its shade. Consider the most spectacular options.
Contrasting combinations
Dark grassy shades lie opposite the red range, light ones with a yellow undertone opposite the pink one. Shades can also be selected according to the rule described above. The lighter the green, the paler the pink and red should be.
Such a pair of colors can be safely supplemented with dark turquoise or the same fuchsia, an interesting play on halftones will turn out. As a base, achromats and a milky-beige palette are used. The latter, although not an achromat, often acts as a base, which is combined with any paint.

How to use purple in bathroom design and not regret it: tips and 53 photos
Analogue combinations
This is a fairly simple combination of nearby colors. With a bottle, in this case, blue, grassy and turquoise will be good. This is for those who appreciate the cold palette.
You can also go the other way. Warm range will be khaki, yellow and ocher. Do not be afraid to add achromats to them as a base or accents - they will never be superfluous.
Three-color combinations
This is a harmony of three colors. There are several options here.
- Turquoise green, purple, orange.
- Grassy, purple, orange red.
- Turquoise green, pink, orange red.
- Grassy, purple, red.
Such complex palettes are rarely used in their pure form in the design of the bathroom. Especially when it comes to the design of a typical city apartment. The area of the room does not always allow experiments with color. In this case, it is better to use 2-3 adjacent tones, so as not to turn the interior into a rainbow.

Fashionable blue bathroom design: we select shades, textures and materials
The shade closest to nature is the perfect companion to natural textures.
- Basic combination with wood. Of course, it is rarely found in the decoration of wet areas, but a wooden pedestal is what you need. An eco-style bathroom is also often decorated with wicker baskets and various rattan accessories.
- Shades of grass coexist well with stone in black and white and gray tones.
- Pay attention to colored terrazzo tiles - one of the hottest trends of recent seasons.

Figured ceramic tiles look especially good in green bathroom design photos. It can be monophonic or made in several neighboring colors. Choose tiles in the form of scales, hexagons, a boar or a small mosaic to decorate an accent wall.
If the bathroom allows, consider a printed wallpaper as an accent. Thus, they make out the area at the entrance or near the sink - the main thing is that it is located further from the shower and bath.
Monochrome
The most extreme version. But, if you love this palette, why not give it a try? The bathroom is a place where we don't spend much time. And if you decide to experiment in the interior, then this room is the most suitable.
The key to a beautiful monochrome is a combination of textures and halftones. The classic rule: a dark floor, a little lighter - the walls, the lightest - the ceiling. But it is advisable not to paint the latter at all, let it be white in a city apartment.
