Then we were talking about the 2019 Prestige 15 model, which had a 15.6-inch 4K screen with 520 nits of brightness, Intel Core i7-10710U + GeForce® GTX 1650, 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt ports and more. The “future” was that the laptop weighed only 1.6 kg, while it had an 82 Wh battery, which, according to promises, gave 16 hours of work (10-12 hours in fact). nine0003

    That notebook really became the first sign of productive laptops, not inferior in terms of operating time and weight to ultrabooks.

    As you can see, the main trouble with LG Gram 17 is a dead video card. This is primarily the fault of NVIDIA, which does not want to create energy-efficient solutions. I suppose that if you even put an RTX 3070 in Gram, not to mention the new RTX 40 series, then the laptop will simply melt. nine0003

    However, the examples of LG and MSI convincingly demonstrate how far the engineers have advanced in their developments and to what minimum it is possible to grind everything superfluous from the cases.

    Against the background of MSI and LG, even Apple's MacBooks look ridiculously bulky. However, in my opinion, Apple as a whole has long spat on the dimensions of devices. The 16-inch MacBook Pro weighs 300 grams more than my ASUS with RTX 3070 graphics. It shouldn't!

    ASUS knows how to cram maximum performance into a tiny package

    However, if we talk about truly productive laptops, then we should look at ASUS and Lenovo. Unlike, by the way, from MSI, ASUS, unfortunately, left the Russian market (or, at least, quieted down). I strongly disapprove of this kind of behavior. Both companies are headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. You can drive from one office to another in half an hour (if there are no traffic jams). At the same time, one company left, while the other remained. How is that possible? Well, if without jokes, then this is easy to explain. ASUS is in the top 5 computer manufacturers, but MSI is not. Accordingly, more close attention is being paid to ASUS, and the company is nervous. nine0003

    However, before talking about performance, let me show you some game! Such decisions are one of the main reasons why I miss ASUS.

    This is the ProArt range. And yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, ASUS really stuck a puck into the laptop. The puck is primarily intended for creative applications, but ASUS claims that it can be tied to actions in any program. Given that the laptop has RTX 4070 graphics and a Core™ i9-13980HX processor (24 cores, 32 threads) with 64 GB of RAM, you can hang a puck on it ... I can’t think of a game in which the puck would be appropriate . .. Maybe in which MMORPG fast scrolling (scrolling) through items ... I don’t know! I know that the battery in the laptop is 90 W at a weight of 2.4 kg (probably heavy washer).

    Now on to gaming laptops!

    I am sure that the main gaming laptop, as in 2021 and 2022, will again be the ROG Zephyrus G or M series. And I propose to bypass the 3D-history in ASUS laptops altogether. In 2022, we can say that 3D people have not gone anywhere. Even in movie theaters.
