Mirror styles for bathrooms
20 Best Bathroom Mirror Ideas
Mirrors can work wonders in any room, especially your bathroom. Sure, practicality should always be top of mind, but the very best bathroom mirrors also serve as decorative statements, turning even the simplest of spaces into a stylish haven. Look at these bathroom mirror ideas, for example: Many of the following designs tap into your bathroom's existing aesthetic (modern, traditional or rustic) while others bring a whole new personality. All the while, these mirrors — some framed, others frameless — bounce the natural and overhead light, ultimately making it feel even more spacious than it really is.
While some of these mirror styles are better suited for small bathrooms, all of them can be tweaked to fit any size space, whether you're looking for an easy way to dress up your tiny powder room or something that'll fill up the wall above your double-sink vanity. Mirrors may be the main focus here, but a lot of these designs will also give you plenty of ideas of how to elevate your bathroom with different paint colors, tile figurations and light fixtures (in case you're in the market for a makeover).

kinds and models, how to choose
A bathroom cannot exist without a mirror, a must-have accessory that allows you to take care of your appearance. Modern designs, in addition to their main function, contribute to decorating the room, emphasizing the design idea. The stores offer a large selection of bathroom mirrors, but when choosing a product, it is necessary to build on not only aesthetic indicators, but also other characteristics, which we will discuss later.
Basic selection criteria
Modern bathroom mirrors have many interpretations. They differ in many ways: sizes, shapes, materials, etc. Mirror panels, consisting of an abstract collage, look spectacular, and huge floor-to-ceiling structures perfectly increase the space and make it possible to contemplate yourself, as they say, in all its glory. So, let's consider what you need to consider first of all when choosing a bathroom mirror.
Shapes and dimensions
If you want to significantly transform the interior in a modern style, you can resort to decorating one of the walls with mirror tiles, which can be square, triangular and radius. The most interesting mirrors of a special shape can be folded from individual elements. Traditional products are presented in the following forms:
- Square - able to adjust the bathroom, especially if it has an elongated area;
- Rectangular - the most popular type of panels that can be installed in different ways;
- Oval - have smoothed corners, due to which they significantly decorate the interior, giving it a harmonious look;
- Round - in addition to looking quite beautiful, they are able to visually expand the area.
As far as dimensions are concerned, there are no clear standards. The mirror must be selected in accordance with the dimensions of the room, as well as based on personal preferences. In addition to the large wall panels, a double-sided vanity mirror can be installed. One surface reflects in a normal image, and the other in an enlarged one. Such mini-mirrors can be mounted to the wall, while the mechanism allows you to rotate the structure at any angle.
Materials
If we consider the mirror constructively, when choosing a model, you need to pay attention to three of its components: the base, the mirror layer and the frame.
Two materials are used as a base - chipboard and MDF. Mirrors with a chipboard base are less expensive, but they are more susceptible to moisture, which in a bathroom will lead to rapid deterioration of the original state. It is better to opt for a more durable MDF base - let the product cost a little more, but it will last longer. For the same reason, you should not choose chipboard cabinets with bathroom mirrors.
The mirror layer, called amalgam, can be aluminum or silver. The second option has better reflective properties. The advantage of silver is that it is more resistant to conditions of high humidity and temperature extremes.
Bathroom mirrors can be framed or unframed (eg built into the wall). If a panel with a frame is preferred, it is better that it be made of plastic or metal, as these materials are optimally suited to the specific microclimate. In addition, plastic has a wide variety of designs and may well imitate natural wood, stone, and color options make it easy to choose a frame for any interior color scheme.
Types of bathroom mirrors
As we have already said, there are quite a lot of design options for reflective surfaces in the bathroom. Even the most ordinary mirror on the wall can become an original decorative element, being dressed in a stylish frame. Modern mirrors have not gone unnoticed by technological progress, and today there are panels equipped with glass heating devices that prevent them from fogging, magnifying glasses, temperature sensors, radio and other “bells and whistles”. Consider the most popular of them.
Wall mirror
This concept combines two ways to install a mirror. In the first case, we are talking about mirror panels with or without frames, which are mounted to the wall surface with special fasteners. They do not have structurally additional elements, but due to the selected frames they look quite stylish. In the second version, the mirror is installed directly into the wall (“embedded” into the finishing material). Mirror edging with tiles or moldings will bring a special aesthetic.
Corner mirror
Placing a cabinet with a mirror on the territory of an empty corner is an excellent solution for small-sized bathrooms. At the same time, the locker is long enough to accommodate hygiene items, and does not take up much space.
Mirror with shelf
This model can rightfully be called the most popular, which has passed the long test of time. The design is suitable for decorating any interior, it is convenient and practical, often complemented by decorative inserts, lighting. Some designs have additional hooks, stands, which makes them as convenient as possible. At the same time, the shelves themselves can be made of any material - the same mirror, glass, plastic. A mirror with additional structural elements will allow you to place and keep personal hygiene products in perfect order.
Mirror in cabinet design
From the name it is already clear that the presence of a hanging cabinet is implied, on the outside of the sash of which there is a mirror. This design is mounted, as a rule, above the washbasin, making it easy to get the necessary accessories during makeup or other procedures. The advantage is that cosmetics and personal care products remain hidden from prying eyes, do not create a sense of disorder, being laid out in plain sight. When choosing such a cabinet, you need to pay attention to its dimensions - for small rooms, single-door structures with a shallow depth are preferable.
Illuminated mirror
This option can be called the most modern and, in general, expedient solution. There are several lighting options - it can be an LED strip that runs around the entire perimeter of the canvas, a traditional lamp directly above the mirror, or side lighting fixtures. In any case, such local illumination brings additional convenience during facial skin care or make-up, rejects the need for centralized lighting, and also creates a soft romantic atmosphere while taking baths.
Heated glass mirror
A convenient modern model, which is a new technology that allows you to avoid the accumulation of fog and condensation on the surface of the mirror. It does not matter at all how high the temperature and humidity in the bathroom are. The mirror heating system is similar to analogues placed in the organization of floor heating: on the reverse side of the mirror panel there is a thin film with wires, which are infrared heaters. In working condition, the current passing through these wires is capable of heating the surface in a short time. Mirrors are often complemented by lighting.
Mirrors and interior styles
An important aspect of the correct choice of a mirror is the correspondence of its external data to the style of the interior. The main role here is played by the shape of the canvas and the aesthetics of the frame.
For example, a luxurious classic bathroom is characterized by rectangular (oval) mirrors in luxurious frames made of wood or endowed with forged elements. Gilding or fragments of artificial aging may be present here.
For the Provence style, it is difficult to think of anything better than a mirror in an old wooden frame, decorated with carved decor. Sometimes the mirror surface itself has coating defects, which makes the design as believable as possible. The most successful shape is round, but others may be present. Beautifully look mirror paintings, located on forged stands.
The idea of minimalism in interiors does not imply luxury – order, rigor and brevity of design reign here. Mirrors may not have frames at all and surprise with their unexpected shapes. The maximum number of mirror surfaces is welcomed so that the room seems spacious and free. High-tech interiors will successfully complement illuminated, heated mirrors, and for a loft-style bathroom, you can choose the design of a floor mirror in a rough frame.

Large or small mirror is the centerpiece of any bathroom decor. Even in small bathrooms, a wide mirror can be successfully used. In light-colored interiors, mirrors reflect light, creating the impression of a large space, while dark-colored bathrooms make expressive and deep. In this article, we want to show you 13 ideas for decorating a bathroom with mirrors. We are sure that you will note their important role in each of these interiors and will be able to more accurately form an idea of which mirror is right for you.
1. Mirror without a frame - the illusion of infinity
An unusual solution for this bathroom was the use of a mirror without a frame throughout the wall. In order to prevent drops from remaining on the mirror, it is raised 30-40 cm above the tabletop, and faucets are just mounted in this space.
In this case, the mirror was the object that united the two washbasins on the dressing table and created the overall harmony of the space. The room has become more spacious and seemingly endless due to the fact that it reflects other interior items. A feature of this room is a narrow vertical window, which, in the absence of a mirror, would be difficult to fit into the overall picture, and with this design, the window became a harmonious completion of the mirror composition.
2. Mirror in a frame - an accent in a small space
Mirrors in a contrasting frame become a separate decorative element. Like a work of art, they attract attention, and in a small bathroom they turn into a bright accent that decorates and visually expands the space.
Frames range from simple shapes with clean lines to large and ornate masterpieces. And the more complex the mirror, the brighter and more contrasting accent it will become.
Here the black frame contrasts with the creamy white palette and stands out in the neutral decor. The white wall-mounted sink and toilet feel light and airy compared to the heavier shadow cast by the mirror. Bold mirrors, as in this case, are best used in those rooms where they will be the main focus in the interior.

3. Mirror embedded in marble wall
Want to add a modern twist to your bathroom? Use a marble finish and enhance its beauty with a large frameless mirror. In this bathroom, a silver mirror embedded in a marble wall has become a harmonious continuation of the white tiles with dark veins.
Notice how the mirror protrudes above the floating vanity, adding a spacious feel to the room. The large mirror in this bathroom really expands the space and brings a modern touch to it.
4. Classic style large round mirror
This classic bathroom features a stylish bevelled round mirror. This solution softens the lines of the square tiles on the wall and makes the space more comfortable.
Framed by stylish sconces, this classic mirror perfectly complements the black dressing table and white marble top. It shows how the shape of a mirror and its size combined can create different effects in a bathroom interior.

5. Full-width wall mirror
A small closet will look much more spacious if, instead of standard wallpaper or tiling, a full-width frameless mirror is hung in it behind the sink and toilet. You have probably already noted how such a bold move transformed the interior!
A well-chosen mirror maximizes any space. In this bathroom, the mirror is placed between the molding near the ceiling and in the center of the wall, making it an integral part of the room.
6. Illuminated Venetian shaped mirror
Everything in this bathroom comes to life thanks to the mirror! The rest of the room - neutral in palette - is simple and unfussy, leaving a visual focus on decorative elements that draw the eye.
A mirrored dressing table, a chandelier and, of course, an illuminated shaped mirror bring a lot of light into the room and make the space glamorous. The light sandy interior, a conceptual lamp and a Venetian mirror create a Parisian style in the interior and mentally take us to the old streets of France.
Do you like this interior? Most likely, you will like our Venetian mirrors.
7. Large white-framed wall mirror
This bright, elegant bathroom features a large white-framed mirror in a recessed ceiling. Its wooden frame is painted in the same shade as the dressing table, making the mirror blend in perfectly with the overall atmosphere of the room.
The white lines of the baguette add brightness and light to the interior. There are no accents here, but on the contrary, harmony, comfort and peace reign. It's the perfect place to wake up, isn't it?

8. Mirror in a metal frame on a contrasting wall
Metal in the interior at the peak of popularity! It looks amazing both on the frame of the mirror and on the fixtures in this bathroom. The gold color combined with the patterned blue wallpaper adds a unique style to this space. And a traditional white vanity with a concrete top accentuates the back wall, giving the mirror room to shine.

9. Large mirror in a minimalist bathroom
Frameless mirror ideal for a minimalist bathroom. Black is not the most common bathroom color. But with a white ceiling, floating stone vanity and white floor, it adds drama and contrast without being overwhelming. Pay attention to the stucco molding near the ceiling, which has become, perhaps, the only decorative detail among the strict geometric lines of this space.
10. Mirror in golden baguette
Mirror in golden baguette with intricate carvings became the highlight of this bathroom. A well-chosen frame emphasizes the style of the interior and makes the room more expressive. In this case, a wide baguette will focus on the mirror. If you want to focus on other interior items, you should choose a baguette that is not so wide.
An elegant, classic style mirror that never goes out of style. Gold and bronze are perhaps the most ordered shades of baguettes for framing mirrors. By the way, the color of the baguette can be absolutely anything that suits your interior!
11. Mirror with LED lighting
Wall mirror with built-in lighting has an unusual play of reflections, due to which the interior takes on a deeper shape. Such a mirror will become an elegant decoration of any design and an excellent solution for expanding the space. At the same time, it does not draw attention to itself, ideally complementing the overall picture. Perfection in its purest form! And it seems that nothing else in his place simply could not be.
Illuminated bathroom mirrors We have a particularly large range of mirrors, just enjoy your choice and we will realize your every idea.
12. Mirror with sunbeams
Unusual mirror-sunshine will be the perfect bathroom accent. The "solar" mirror located above the sink is more often a decorative element than a functional one. But as an art object, it will create an original accent, make the interior richer and look great in art deco, classic and provence designs.
The mirror in the form of a sun looks especially beautiful on the walls with an intricate print finish, as in the photo. If you have chosen such a mirror for your bathroom, you can no longer worry about additional decor - this element in itself looks very advantageous and sets a fashionable tone for the rest of the interior.
Do you want such a mirror-sun to shine in your interior? Stop your choice on one of the options in our catalog.
13. Mirror cabinet
How to organize storage space in the bathroom without cluttering up the space? The answer is simple: install a spacious mirror cabinet! On its shelves you can place the necessary bath accessories and cosmetics. And use the front surface of the door as a mirror.
In the photo you can see how successfully the mirror cabinet was played in the interior: the color palette is matched tone-on-tone to the floor cabinet and echoes the shades of ceramic tiles. And the lamps installed under the mirror divert attention from the floor cabinet and fill the room with pleasant light.
Where can I buy a quality mirror cabinet? There are excellent options in the ROSESTAR store.
