The Kuvings EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer is best suited to ingredients with a high water content such as apples and pears. But its ergonomic design is well equipped to tackle more delicate ingredients such as wheatgrass, nuts and soybeans, which makes it one of the best juicers you can buy.
Its well-balanced feeding chute can take on a range of fruit or vegetables including the more unusual juicing foods such as grapes, radish, cherries, and strawberries with pleasing results. Read on for our full review of the Kuvings EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer here, and for how it stacks up against the best juicers in the category.
(Image credit: Future)Kuvings EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer price and availability
Kuvings is a well-known brand in the juicing world, but you can expect to pay premium prices for its models. Its designs range from around £399 /$523 / AUS $762 for the Kuvings C9500 Whole Slow Juicer, to £479 / $628 / AUS $ 915 for the similarly styled EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer, which we have tested in here.
While UK Juicers stock a wide range of Kuvings models, but you can also find the EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer over on Amazon for the same price. That puts it in a similar price bracket to the Sana EUJ-707 juicer by Omega, which is priced at £369 / $ 483 / AUS $705 online at UK Juicers and Amazon . The Omega model is our current top pick.
(Image credit: Future)The EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer comes with a particularly large 3.2inch O-shape flip gate feed chute that is noticeably roomier than its competitors and is designed to work well with fruits such as apple or pear, carrots and beetroot. This is because when the flip gate swings back and forth on its hinge ingredients can be simply dropped straight down into the path of the juicing auger with little need to use the pusher to coax the ingredients down. When juicing produce such as celery and carrots however, the pusher was needed a little.
The Kuvings EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer comes with a pulp jug and juice jug, and a blank strainer that is for frozen ingredients. You will have to wait 20 minutes or so for frozen fruits such as berries to thaw before use.
(Image credit: Future)The main drum with juicing screw and strainer is easy to assemble by aligning the red dots on each part and it can be simply attached to the base of the machine. The detachable smart cap that can be closed to stop the juice spout from dripping in between use came in useful. This feature also comes in handy when giving the machine a quick rinse with water in between juicing to clean the bowl and stop flavor transfer.
What lets the Kuvings model down is the number of fiddly silicone parts that will need to be looked after and cleaning properly. But the instruction manual does give you detailed advice on how to do so. A particularly useful feature is its unique cleaning tool, which helps to clean the strainer. It also comes with two brushes for cleaning hard to reach areas.
What is instantly noticeable about the Kuvings EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer is its quiet operation. It was in fact the quietest design in our round-up of the Best Juicers for 2020 feature.
Due to the O-shape flip gate feed chute, whole fruits can be fed through and blitzed – with skin and stalks tackled without too much fuss. The manual advises cutting fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, oranges and apples into four pieces before feeding through the chute, but the design tackled half an apple with ease. More fibrous vegetables such as celery and carrots will need chopping and we found that the celery could not be fed through whole.
(Image credit: Future)The manual also suggests cutting stems of celery, kale and collard greens two inches long and bundling up the leafy part as you insert them into the juicer, and this seemed to work well and extracted an ample amount of juice. We also soaked the kale and spinach in cold water for up to 30 minutes before hand, as advised, for the best juicing results.
Similar to many of the designs in our test of the best juicers, the Kuvings EVO820 Evolution Cold Press comes with a reverse button to dislodge ingredients stuck inside, and a forward button that pulls down and slowly masticates the ingredients. There’s also a lid opener that came in useful when the lid didn’t open gently after use.
Verdict
What we particularly like about the Kuvings model is its durable feel and well-thought-out design – from the sturdy and luxurious-looking body, to the comprehensive instruction manual and recipe book that comes complete with hints and tips.
Inside you’ll find detailed information on which fruit and vegetables provide the best nutrients and recipe inspiration for healthy drinks such as red radish vitamin juice and soy milk and cocktail hour drinks such as Apple Martini. There are also ideas on what you can do with juicing pulp such as make a delicious carrot and potato mash for babies. It's this attention to usability and usefulness that makes the Kuvings EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer well worth trying out.

The whole slow juicer market was well received by consumers, paving the way for Kuving EVO820. Even Breville release its own competing product, the Big Squeeze Juicer. Just like Kuvings 3-inch chute cold press juicers, it also promotes its product as something that can take a whole produce.
To set it straight from the very start, whole slow juicers are not designed to process a whole apple, whole carrot and other big fibrous produce. You still have to remove the pits and seeds and cut it into manageable sizes.
Awards
Don’t get me wrong, there is still some benefit to a slow juicing machine with a chute this wide. Feeding chunks of produce will be a whole lot faster if you have a bigger clearance. It’s going to make the whole juicing process a little bit faster.
What sets Kuvings EVO820 from its siblings and other competing products is it still leads the pack in terms of technology and design. It has the biggest feeding chute and comes with updated drum system for safer operation. If you want to juice mainly citruses, there’s an optional module that can turn your machine into a standalone electric citrus juicer. How cool is that?
As with any Kuvings product, the EVO820 is available in a wide assortment of finishes. This time it comes with elegant leather patterns—Dark Silver, White, Dark Red, Gunmetal, Black, Champagne Gold, and Rose Gold.
Pros
- 10% bigger feeding chute
- Redesigned drum for a more stable operation
- Safer, the flap gate system prevents kid’s hands from entering the juicing chamber
- Slow RPM juicers are more efficient in juice extraction
- Juice produced by this machine can be stored for 3 days
- Quiet operation
- BPA free parts
- The juicing chamber design allows you to mix juices
- Comes in several luxurious leather pattern colors to choose from
- With an optional citrus module that can turn your machine into an electric citrus juicer
Cons
- Adding leather to a piece of kitchen equipment will cost you a premium
- Not dishwasher safe
- Not as efficient for leafy greens compared to horizontal masticating juicers
- Slow juicing time as compared to centrifugal machines
Kuvings EVO820 Juicer Features
Is it easy to use?
Slow juicers tend to have more parts than its high-speed counterpart, but it won’t take that much time to get used to. It would be helpful to check your manual when setting it up for the first time. The Kuvings Juicer EVO820 won’t operate unless everything is perfectly set in place.
Initially, it’s going to be tricky but further down the road, it’s going to be a walk in the park.
Preparation time is also a major concern for slow juicers. EVO820’s extra wide feeding chute can reduce that burden by accommodating larger chunks and bigger quantities of produce in one go. This can speed up your whole juicing process.
Is it easy to clean?
Cleaning the Kuvings Evolution Cold Press Juicer will take some effort, it’s not dishwasher safe. Washing it manually though will only take 5 to 10 minutes of your time. If you want to be thorough, soak all the detachable parts in warm water with a teaspoon of baking soda or a few drops of dishwashing soap for about half an hour. This will soften any residue buildup.

Don’t take my word for it, watch this official product video of Kuvings:
Juice Quality
The quality of the juice produced by the Kuvings Evolution Cold Press Juicer is beyond excellent. The slow masticating process and its being BPA free equate to a glass of nutrient-rich juice that can last for 72 hours.
Oxidation of nutrients and minerals is minimal with slow juicers. Centrifugal juicers, on the other hand, are oxygen hogs. It incorporates a lot of air as it spins for thousands of RPM. This mechanism promotes the breakdown of nutrients and minerals at a significant level.
In that light, a cold-pressed juice retains most of its nutrients on a longer period of time in comparison to juice produced by centrifugal juice extractors. Thus, making it an ideal machine for juice fasting, or simply if you want to save time and prepare juices in one go.
What kinds of produce can Kuvings EVO820 juice?
The Kuvings Evolution Whole Slow Juicer can handle all types of produce—soft and dense produce, leafy greens, citrus fruits, beans, and nuts.
Dense produce includes fennel, beets, broccoli, apple, pear, coconut, sweet potato, celery, bitter gourd, cucumber, cilantro, garlic, cauliflower, pumpkin, turmeric, asparagus, pepper, watermelon, ginger, carrots, yakon, and pineapple.
Leafy greens include brussels sprout, kale, collard greens, cabbage, parsley, spring onion, moringa, basil, spinach, dandelion greens, wheatgrass, peppermint, pine tree needles, lettuce and beet greens.
Even without the citrus module, it can handle any type of citruses such as lemons, mandarin, grapefruit, limes, tangerine, oranges, etc.
You can also puree soft produce such as grapes, blackberry, mango, melon, papaya, tomato, peach, avocado, kiwifruit, strawberry, pomegranate and cranberries using this machine.
You can also use this juicer for making nut-based milk alternatives and as well as sorbet and other frozen treats.

Is Kuvings EVO820 worth it?
Kuvings EVO820 Evolution Cold Press Juicer is luxury kitchen equipment. It comes with amazing features that you won’t find in other competing products. Where else can you find a leather pattern in a juicer? In addition, I really love the idea, that you can make your very own Minute Maid juice out of this machine. It’s just brilliant.
All that comes with a price though, but I find it quite reasonable since it’s a top of the line juice extractor.
There you have it. If you’d like a juicer that is both functional and matches your fashion statement, the EVO820 is just a click away.

design
The EVO920 Evolution Cold Press Juicer comes with an especially large 3.2" O-shaped feed tray, which is noticeably more spacious than its competitors and is designed to work with fruits such as apple or pear, carrots and beets. This is because when the swing gate swings back and forth on the hinges, the ingredients can simply be dropped directly into the path of the juicer without the need to use a pusher to push the ingredients down. However, it took a little push when making juice like celery and carrots..
The Kuvings EVO920 Evolution Cold Press Juicer comes with a pulp jug and juice jug and a clean sieve designed for frozen ingredients. You will have to wait about 20 minutes before frozen fruits such as berries are thawed before using. and it can be simply attached to the base of the machine. What brings the Kuvings model to a minimum is the number of hulking silicone parts that will need to be taken care of and properly cleaned. But the instruction manual gives you detailed advice on how to do it. A particularly useful feature is its unique cleaning tool that helps clean the filter. It also comes with two brushes for cleaning hard to reach areas.

Performance
What is immediately noticeable about the Kuvings EVO920 Evolution Cold Press Juicer is its quiet operation. In fact, it was the quietest design in our best juicers of 2020 series.
Thanks to the O-shaped loading chute, whole fruits can be skipped and frozen - with skins and stems sewn up without much fuss. The manual recommends cutting fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, oranges, and apples into quarters before serving through the chute, but the design made it through half an apple with ease. More fibrous vegetables such as celery and carrots will need to be chopped, and we have found that celery cannot be fed whole. nine0004

The manual also suggests cutting two inch long stalks of celery greens, kale and kale and tying the leafy part when you put them in the juicer and this seems to work well and extract enough amount of juice. We also soaked kale and spinach in cold water up to 30 minutes before drinking as recommended for best juicing results. The 20 Evolution comes with a reverse button to push out stuck ingredients and a forward button that lowers and chews the ingredients slowly. There's also a lid opener, which comes in handy when the lid didn't open neatly after use. a recipe book that comes with tips and tricks..

- Comparison and detailed review of Kuvings (Bork S610) and Omega auger juicers. nine0101
Kuvings B6000 Auger Juicer is a new product from South Korean manufacturer NUC Electronics Co, Ltd. This model has been available on the Ukrainian market since spring 2014. The Kuvings B6000 auger juicer retains all the time-tested juice processing technologies: a powerful 240V motor, low auger rotation speed, and innovations such as an enlarged 7.5 cm inlet, which allows you to put whole fruits and vegetables without spending time on their additional training. nine0004
The opponent of the Kuvings juicer will be the well-known vertical auger juicer model VRT 350(352)F from the American brand Omega. This model is an improved modification of one of the most popular auger juicers Omega VRT 350 (352) in the Western European and American markets. The number "2" in the marking of the modification means that the juicer is adapted to a voltage of 220V and will work stably in the European network. Compared to Kuvings Juicer, Omega VRT 350 (352)F is a traditional vertical juicer with 150W motor power. Auger without additional turns, loading opening 3.5 by 3.5 cm, as well as on similar models from Hurom Juicers (HU-500).
It should be noted that Omega is produced in South Korea, at the Dong AH Ind. plant. CO. LTD, which is the undoubted leader in the production of vertical auger juicers and guarantees the highest quality of the product. Hence the difference in warranty service: The Kuvings Juicer has a 2 year motor and parts warranty, while Omega has a 10 year motor and 2 year parts warranty. The build quality and materials of the Omega are definitely higher.
It is also worth noting that the kit for the Cuvins juicer includes only a sieve with small holes, but you can separately buy a set of a sieve with large perforations and a nozzle for grinding products. To get acquainted with the characteristics and in more detail, buy the Kuvings 9 auger juicer0117, follow the link.
The Omega Auger Juicer comes with two sieves with fine and coarse perforation and an additional strainer for filtering the juice, which is a nice bonus.
The price of the Omega auger juicer is higher and it is in a higher price segment.
