10 Best Juicers Reviews of 2022
We updated this article in November 2022 to ensure all picks recommended by the Good Housekeeping Institute Kitchen Appliances and Innovation Lab were in stock and correctly priced.
A juicer can help you get more nutrients into your diet from fresh fruits and greens — not to mention having one is a great home bartending trick for elevating cozy fall cocktails with your own fresh-pressed juices. There are three main styles to choose from: masticating juicers (or slow juicers), centrifugal juicers and citrus juicers. Masticating juicers tend to yield more juice as well as juice with more nutrients sine the juice is cold-pressed. Centrifugal juicers are great for juicing harder fruits and vegetables and does so more quickly. Citrus juicers are great for simply squeezing oranges, lemons, lime and grapefruit and can come in electric and manual handheld models.
In the Good Housekeeping Institute Kitchen Appliances and Innovation Lab, we've tested over 50 juicers in the last 20 years, evaluating them for performance and efficiency. In our testing, we score each juicer for its output and the resulting juice's taste, temperature and texture. Here are the best citrus juicers, slow juicers and centrifugal juicers of 2022.

How we test juicers
In the Good Housekeeping Institute Kitchen Appliances and Culinary Innovation Lab, we have tested more than 50 juicers including masticating juicers (a.k.a. cold-press or slow juicers) and centrifugal juicers. When we test them, we juice carrots, which are hard and can sometimes taste bitter; kale, a popular leafy vegetable that's hard to juice and can jam the machine and apples which are pulpy with a large diameter and oxidize quickly. We measure how much juice each juicer extracts as well as how much pulp is created as a byproduct. We also taste and evaluate how smooth and sweet each juice is, and we monitor the juice for three days to see if it separates as it sits.
What type of juicer is best?
✔️ Slow juicers or masticating juicers typically have a narrow vertical chute that guide ingredients into a chamber where they are pressed by a rotating auger. The fresh juice is squeezed out through a strainer and into a pitcher, while the pulp is dispensed from a second spout. The process is a little slow — it’s called a slow juicer for a reason! — but this is considered a good thing. The slow, gentle process is believed to preserve nutrients better than high-speed juicers that generate heat which can affect the taste of the final product. What we don’t love about slow juicers is they often require a little more prep work due to their small feed tubes (which means you'll have to dice up fruits and veggies into smaller chunks) and cleanup is arduous due to many small parts and crevices. Brands like Breville and NutriBullet have found a workaround and recently introduced new, wide-mouth slow juicers. This allows fruits like large apples to simply be quartered instead of chunked into one-inch pieces.
✔️ Centrifugal juicers juice much faster than slow juicers. Whole ingredients are typically dropped into the wider feed tube and pulverized at a very high speed. For example, in our leafy greens test, 100 grams of kale juiced in as quickly as 7 seconds in a centrifugal juicer, while it took upwards of 1 minute in the slow juicers. The juice from centrifugal juicers tends to come out a little foamy but most come with lidded pitchers and built-in strainers to get rid of the foam.
✔️ Citrus juicers are the easiest to use and most streamlined, but they can only be used for citrus. They can easily be stored or remain on your counter because they take up minimal space. Citrus juicers are also great for getting the most out of your lemons (and other citrus) with minimal effort, and you don’t have to worry about peeling, segmenting or removing the seeds first. If you’re juicing a lot of citrus consecutively, remember to empty the strainer periodically. The strainers are prone to build up, which could translate into a slower and messier juicing process.
What to look for when shopping for the best juicer
✔️ Price: Cold-press or masticating juicers tend to be more expensive than their centrifugal counterparts because their machinery is designed to slowly and gently extract juice. While there are some affordable options, expect to spend a couple hundred dollars to get a juicer that’s designed to last — and make good juice. While a citrus juicer tends to be at a lower price point than both masticating and centrifugal juicers, it's quite limited in its functionality.
✔️Style: There are two different styles of juicers: vertical and horizontal – which refers to the way you juice. With a vertical juicer you feed ingredients at the top and juice is collected from the bottom of the juicer like the Hurom h201 Easy Clean Slow Juicer. While with a horizontal juicer you feed fruits and vegetables from the left and juice is extracted from the right like Emeril Everyday Automatic Pasta and Noodle Maker with Slow Juicer. Vertical juicers typically have a one-piece design, making setup and cleanup a bit simpler, but they’re not quite as powerful as the slightly more cumbersome horizontal models.
✔️ Size of feed tube: The larger the tube, the less prep work — i. e. chopping — you’ll have to do. Some juicers, like the Nutribullet Slow Masticating Juicer Machine, even have one section large enough for an entire apple and another section that's designed to accommodate thin items like celery and kale for maximum efficiency.
✔️ Accessories: Some juicers come with different-sized strainers that allow for different amounts of pulp in juices — and even smoothies. A very fine strainer would reduce the amount of pulp for a silky smooth finish while a strainer with larger holes will allow some pulp to go through giving a more viscous juice with added fiber from pulp. Some also can be used to make sauce, purees, nut butters and sorbets, depending on the sizing of the strainers that are provided – finer strainers for sorbet and larger strainers for thick nut butter. If you choose a machine with these types of accessories, look for included cleaning brushes to keep things sanitary.
✔️ Power: Though most slow juicers won’t win any awards for speed, it’s worth considering power for centrifugal juicers, particularly if you juice tougher items like celery or greens. Look for models upwards of 1,000 watts which won't stop working mid juice because there isn't enough wattage to power the juicing of tough ingredients.
✔️Ease of cleaning: Juicers by design have numerous parts that can be cumbersome to clean. Look for models with dishwasher-safe parts and models that come with cleaning brushes to ensure that you don’t spend more time cleaning than juicing.
✔️ Warranty: There’s no question about it — juicers are pricey appliances. If you’re investing in one that is more expensive like the Pure Juicer, it’s worth checking warranty information to ensure you’ll be satisfied for years to come.

Adding one of the best juicers to your kitchen is a step toward a healthier lifestyle, with nutrients packed into every glass. These genius appliances enable you to transform your fresh produce into tasty drinks in your own home, giving you all the goodness of fresh juice at your fingertips.
Whether it's apples, ginger, carrots, or even nuts that you want to incorporate, one of these juicers is up to the task. They can rival even the best blenders or best cold press juicers when it comes to creating morning drinks, with the ability to remove unwanted pulp and fibers from a range of ingredients. However, when comparing juicers vs blenders, blenders mash everything together, while juicers are designed to separate the pulp from the juice, giving a smoother, more drink-like result.
All of the best juicers included in this guide have been reviewed by members of the Homes & Gardens team, so you can click through to read complete reviews, and learn more about their benefits and drawbacks.

What sets this machine apart from the competition is its juice quality, as well as a number of other reasons that make the Kuvings EVO820 the top juicer we've tried
Why we love it
Operating at 60rpm, we found that the Kuvings EVO820 produces the cleanest, purest juice with the included standard strainer. Even better, it can easily handle soft and hard fruits alike. You also get smoothie and sorbet strainers in the box, expanding what this machine is capable of.
One of the hassles with masticating juicers is that you have to cut fruit into small chunks. but Kuvings aims to solve that with its wider 3.22" feeding chute. While we still needed to cut fruit and remove seeds, we could fit bigger chunks in, so get results faster, which is great news, particularly if you’re making drinks for multiple people. The operation is really easy, too: turn the machine on and push the fruit through the machine.
Good to know
Water can be run through the machine for a quick rinse between drinks, but the parts otherwise have to be disassembled (an easy job) and hand-washed. Price is the main issue for this juicer, but if you want the absolute best-quality juice, the Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer EVO820 is for you.

Plastic isn't the highest quality
New to juicing? The NutriBullet NBJ50200 Juicer Pro could be the best juicer for beginners. It comes with everything you need, including a freezer tray, a pitcher with froth separator, two glass to-go bottles, and a cleaner brush and recipe manual.
Why we love it
With a 1000-watt motor, the NutriBullet NBJ50200 Juicer Pro is a powerful option. Its wide chute can fit plenty of fruits and vegetables without the need to chop. The pitcher can be sealed to make juice ahead of when you want to drink it, and it's large enough to make family-sized drinks.
When we tested it we were impressed by the two speeds and the recipe book that walked us through everything we needed to know to make delicious juices. The Nutribullet was also easy to clean because most of the parts can go in the dishwasher.
Good to know
The Nutribullet has a medium capacity. We did find that with larger or less wet items the pulp basket filled up quite fast. It will need to be emptied a few times if you plan on making juice for more than two people, so consider something with a chute for non-stop juicing.

Feeding chute could have been wider
We put the Hurom HP Slow Juicer to the test and enjoyed its ability to make personal-sized juices without taking up the whole kitchen counter.
Why we love it
It comes in a few sweet colors including mint, pink and white, and its designed with compactness in mind, increasingly the likelihood that it will fit in cabinets; though you may have to separate the juicer portion from the base for low-sitting shelves.
Slow juicers are known for low-pressure and prolonged juicing. With a 43 RPM, we found it delivered juice fast and in generous volumes compared to other juicers on the market, and it left us with a very dry pulp, maximizing the flavor and nutrients that made it into our cups.
Good to know
The chute could have been wider, we found that it would not fit an entire apple in testing, which means more food prep and effort. Cleaning (as with most juicers) was also a hassle, but we enjoyed that this juicer can also make nut milk and even ice cream. A great choice when you consider that it's not the most expensive option in Hurom's lineup.

Not ideal for those with a blender they like
The Breville The 3x Bluicer combines a blender and a juicer in one smart machine. It has removable attachments for blending and juicing, and you can use the blender pitcher to catch all the juice from the juicer spout. You could then even blend some ice or fresh fruit into your juice for delicious drinks and frozen cocktails.
Why we love it
While we were very impressed by the blending modes on the Breville The 3x Bluicer, its the juicing capabilities that wowed us. It has five juicing speeds with illustrations of different fruits and vegetables to help you choose the right one, as well as a diagram to show you which mode to use for which ingredients.
Mode 1 is great for soft fruits such as citrus, and we also used 5 to blitz through whole apples. Because the 3.5-inch feeding chute was plenty wide to drop them in with no prep, it made it very easy to create speedy juices.
Good to know
The one complaint we has was the high levels of froth, which is common with centrifugal juicers. However, the pulp was absolutely bone dry, which is seriously impressive.
Not all parts can go in the dishwasher, but the Bluicer does come with a brush to remove pulp and fibers from the juicer filter. When you consider the two capable functions you get with this blender juicer combo, we think it's a great value.

Makes pulp-heavy drinks
Many want to opt for a slow juicer to extract the most fiber possible from their fruits, but they can be an expensive choice. The Nutribullet Slow Juicer may be less costly, but it performs well on fruits.
Why we love it
Small and well-built, this compact juicer doesn’t take up much space and has few components making assembly easy.
There’s a single on/off switch, with the 150W motor running at a constant speed for all fruit and veg. Thanks to its 3" wide chute, you shouldn’t need to cut most vegetables. Juice extraction is generally good, although a touch heavy on the pulp and leafy greens can get pulled through the system without any juice extraction.
With a 20oz jug, you can feed enough fruit to make drinks for a few people, or just make extra to store in the fridge.
Good to know
Hand washing will prolong the life of this juicer, but there is no filter to scrub, which can often be the trickiest job. NutriBullet recommends flushing water through the system before disassembling to keep things clean.

When it comes to making the best juicers, Hurom's reputation truly proceeds it. The brand has carefully crafted some of the best slow juicers on the market, and its high-quality design is also versatile. We enjoyed using this slow juicer, and its below-average size means it's well-suited to smaller kitchens.
Why we love it
The H-AA is versatile, lightweight, and lovely to look at. It's available in three colors and can be used to make ice cream or tofu. It's also capable of working with nuts and seeds, so you can even make nut milk in this slow juicer. We noted that it operates quietly too, even when working with firm ingredients.
The 43 RPM auger speed is so slow it will mimic hand squeezing, meaning no drop of juice will be left behind and all those healthy fibers will end up in your drink.
Good to know
We did notice that the ejection chute can clog up quite easily, so be on standby to clean it out as you juice.

Damp pulp
-
Lots of prep needed
The lower price point than other juicers on this list means that this model feels a touch cheaper than the competition.
Why we love it
Juice extraction from the Ninja JC101 Cold Press Pro was very good, although a fair amount of pulp makes it through in the process. And, this is a juicer better suited to softer fruits and those that routinely use harder fruits and vegetables should look elsewhere on this list.
It has three color-coded filters for differing levels of pulp and works very slowly to extract as much juice as it can. However, we must note, our pulp still came out a little damp.
Good to know
In our process, we found that we needed to cut fruits and veggies into two-inch pieces before juicing, otherwise, they became stuck in the somewhat narrow tube. There’s a single on/off button that turns on the motor, after which you can press the fruit through the juicer, with the pulp separated into a dedicated container.
It was a touch fiddly to disassemble, the juicer’s plastic parts can be put in the dishwasher, but the remainder must be hand-washed. Still, for those on a tighter budget looking for a small but powerful juicer, the Ninja JC101 Cold Press Pro is a great option.

Could be too big for individuals
If you’re making a lot of juice at once or to feed a family, the Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus Juicer could well be for you. With its 70oz jug, this machine can produce a lot of juice that you can share or store in the fridge.
Why we love it
It can get through fruit quickly, too, thanks to the Juice Fountain’s 3.5" feeding chute, which should mean that most fruits can be dropped in without cutting. There are two-speed settings on the side, with 'High' for harder fruits and vegetables (carrots, mango, and so on) and 'Low' for softer fruits.
With the pulp container at the rear, this juicer isn’t too wide, but it’s long and still takes up a lot of counter or cabinet space. The ‘Cold’ part in the name refers to the design of the blade, which increases the fruit temperature by no more than 2ºF. Juice quality is generally very good, although a touch on the frothy side and not as clean as from a masticating juicer.
Good to know
Although the majority of parts are dishwasher safe, there are quite a few components to disassemble. Still, with the large capacity, you probably won’t have to make juice that often. For those into batch processing or with larger families to feed, the Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus is a great choice.

If you’re primarily after a juicer to deal with oranges or other citrus fruit, the Smeg Citrus Juicer is an elegant and well-priced solution. Available in black, red, and a range of pastel colors, the juicer has Smeg’s well-known 50s styling, making it a style icon that you’d proudly have on display.
Why we love it
As well as looking great, it feels tough and robust and doesn’t take up much counter space.
There’s very little juice storage onboard, with the machine designed to be operated with the spout pointing down directly into a cup. Smeg has made it super-easy to operate this machine. Just cut your fruit in half and press each part onto the reamer, and the 80W motor kicks into action. There’s plenty of torque to extract juice, although it’s more of a slow-and-steady approach, so making multiple drinks could take some time.
Once finished, the reamer, cover, filter and juice collector can all be easily removed and washed in the dishwasher, making this a quick juicer to clean up.
Good to know
Simple to operate, the Smeg Citrus Juicer is a great choice for anyone that wants simple, fresh orange juice every day, but its versatility is limited to citrus ingredients.

Better with soft fruit
With a staggering 15-year warranty, there’s clearly has a high degree of confidence in the Omega VSJ843QS Vertical Slow Masticating Juicer. Justly so, as the juicer is praised for its quality components and feel.
Why we love it
A masticating juicer, the VSJ843QS uses a dual-edged auger to crush and squeeze fruit at a low speed of 43rpm. This slow action is designed to extract the maximum amount of juice while retaining the maximum amount of pulp. It’s a system that works well, with only the dried remains of fruit being pushed out into the pulp container at the rear, leaving fresh and near-perfect juice.
This is an easy juicer to operate, with a single on/off switch. The fruit has to be cut to fit through the relatively small feeding tube and pressed down with the provided pusher. Soft fruits work better, and you may need to cut hard vegetables, such as carrots, into smaller chunks to avoid blocking.
Good to know
A relatively small 16oz capacity means that making drinks for multiple people may take a while, although a juice plug means that you can make juice and dispense it later. You can run water through the juicer to clean between drinks, but the Omega VSJ843QS comes apart easily for hand-washing once you’re finished.
How we review and test the best juicers
The two main things we looked at when choosing a juicer were capacity and the ingredients that can be used. Capacity shows you how much juice you can make in one go, with larger capacity machines ideal for large homes or for creating batches of juice and storing the results in the fridge.
We know that how we test the products we recommend is important, which is why we researched the models on offer to make sure that we covered a variety of brands and price levels, and we also took care to include a variety of slow and centrifugal juicers, as well as the occasional citrus juicer.
Through our testing process, we saw how well each juicer handled soft and firmer ingredients, monitoring the level of foam, noise, and checking how damp the pulp was to see how effective the juicer was at removing all of the available juice. Some juicers claim to be able to make nut milk and even ice cream, so when we tested one of these models we were sure to assess all of the claims made by each brand. It's also important to consider factors like how easy is it to clean a juicer, so oftentimes you will find us mentioning clean-up.

Types of Juicers
A juicer is the best way to extract juice and nutrients from a variety of fruits and vegetables.
There are two main types of general-purpose juicers: masticating and centrifugal. Both work in different ways and have their own benefits.
Centrifugal juicers
Centrifugal juicers use a fast-spinning blade to chop up fruit and vegetables, using fine mesh filters to separate the juice from the pulp. The main benefit of this type of machine is that you can throw in whole fruits, giving you quick results with little preparation. These tend to be cheaper.
Look for a machine that has multiple speed controls, so that you can adjust how fast the blades move to suit different types of produce: slow for soft fruits and faster for hard.
The downside is that these juicers aren’t as efficient, so some juice gets passed out with the pulp. With the air and heat that’s introduced, juice can be frothy and may not last as long when stored.
These types of juices also aren’t as good when it comes to some ingredients, such as leafy greens and herbs.
Masticating juicers
Masticating juicers use a crushing, squeezing element to extract juice. Although also known as slow juicers, these products aren’t that much slower than their centrifugal counterparts. However, they are typically more expensive.
Preparation is generally more involved with these models, and you’ll have to cut up fruit first and, usually, remove hard seeds, adding preparation time into the mix.
Though, masticating juicers are much more efficient, so you’ll get more juice from each fruit, and with less air and heat added, the juice tastes fresher and should last for longer.
Herbs and leafy greens are easily dealt with, but harder fruits and vegetables should be cut carefully into smaller junks to prevent blockages. These machines are generally harder to take apart and clean, with few having dishwasher-safe components.
Citrus Juicers
For those who may only care about fresh orange juice, then a citrus juicer can be a good choice. Cheaper and easier to use, these use a motor to spin a reamer that removes the juice from inside the orange (or other citrus fruit).
You can’t use other fruits in these juicers, making them more limited, but if you don’t mind, these products are cheaper and easier to maintain than the other types of juicer.
What is the best juicer
We think the best juicer you can buy is the Kuvings EVO820 , for its. It has a unique flip-gate chute that drops ingredients into the chute, eliminating the need for a safety fin or a pusher. The feed chute is also wider and you can use it to make smoothies.
If you're after a more cost-effective centrifugal design, the Nutribullet Juicer Pro impressed us with its wide chute and juicy quality for the money. We also like that it comes with a range of accessories including to-go cups and freezer trays. However, the pulp tray does fill fairly quickly and it is on the noisy side.
How much does a juicer cost?
How much you spend, depends on your needs and how much you’ll use a juicer. For occasional use, or for a single person, you can get a perfectly serviceable juicer for around $100.
If you want the best-quality juice, need to make more, or want to expand the range of ingredients that you’re using, then the top juicers come in at more than $400.
More expensive juicers, particularly masticating ones, produce more juice than cheaper models. Factor this into the price when you pay: for those that buy a lot of fresh produce, a more expensive juicer helps you maximize your return.

TOP 6 auger juicers
How to choose an auger juicer? Meet!
Rating of the best auger juicers
1st place - Hurom Premium Alpha Plus HZ
2nd place - Tribest Green Star Elite
3rd place - Tribest SlowStar SW-2000
4th place - Hurom H-100
5 - 900 EUJ-7076th place - King Mix GP-20S
Tekhnika Zdorovya specialists conducted research that allowed us to identify models with the best balance of price, quality, performance and additional features. Comparative analysis took into account:
- Power and speed indicators of augers. When choosing screw juicers, the criterion “the more powerful, the better” does not work. Power is calculated for each specific model, taking into account its features.
- Build quality and no plastic internals.
- Ability to handle a variety of product types.
- Instrument volume. Quiet operation is a common advantage of auger juicers, they are much quieter than centrifugal models. But even in this line there are leaders in silence.
The result is the TOP 6 best auger juicers.
King Mix GP-20S is a development of a manufacturer from China. This model belongs to the budget price category, but is characterized by excellent quality. She has proven herself well over the past few years.
The motor gearbox of the King Mix GP-20S is equipped with a metal gear that ensures the duration of the device. The model has an extended neck with a diameter of 80 mm, which allows you to load products with minimal pre-cutting. Thanks to a powerful motor and a vertical auger speed of up to 50 revolutions, the juicer perfectly copes with squeezing juice from both hard and soft foods, preserving all the useful elements.
King Mix GP-20S is a stylish model with a noble golden stainless steel case for durability and resistance to external influences.
Sana EUJ-707 is a horizontal auger juicer presented by a Czech brand. The internal elements of the device are made of metal, the screw speed does not exceed 70 rpm, which guarantees the safety of useful substances.
A distinctive advantage of the model is its versatility. This is one of the few devices that can cope with the grinding of plant fibers. It successfully handles soft and hard foods, wheatgrass and herbs.
The Sana EUJ-707 is capable of preparing fresh juices, smoothies, baby food, nut butters and even noodles. It is possible to purchase an additional nozzle for squeezing oil, which turns one model into two full-fledged independent devices: a juicer and an oil press. This is the perfect solution for healthy eating enthusiasts.
The model is assembled at the leading South Korean factories. The warranty period of the device is 5 years.
Hurom H-100 is new in 2018. This is a vertical auger juicer presented by a South Korean manufacturer. It was in this model that an innovative technology was introduced for the first time - there are no metal elements in the design of the squeezing basket. This decision made it possible to avoid the effect of product oxidation and increase the level of preservation of enzymes, vitamins, and microelements.
Hurom H-100 is a device designed exclusively for making fresh juices and sorbets. She quickly copes with squeezing juices, works very quietly, and is easy to clean. Its grids do not have to be brushed after each use.
Compact and stylish, available in multiple colors and with two extra baskets for smoothies and sorbets.
Tribest SlowStar SW-2000 is another well-known brand from South Korea. It stands out for its high build quality, no plastic elements in the internal structure, and high power. The warranty period of the device is 10 years!!! This is one of the longest warranties on the market today.
The Tribest SlowStar SW-2000 is a powerful device equipped with a two-turn auger. This design allows you to achieve maximum juice extraction and avoid food jams. The model has a very strong, thickened bowl that can withstand the enormous pressure created during the cold pressing of products.
Inlet size - 37 x 62 mm, the device is able to accept some products with minimal cutting. The optimal screw speed of 47 rpm eliminates the effect of heating and, accordingly, the oxidation and separation of juices.
Tribest SlowStar SW-2000 retains more than 90% of the nutrients in the resulting drinks. The device is equipped with a special chopper that allows you to cook certain categories of raw food and ordinary dishes, for example, potato pancakes.
Green Star Elite is one of the best developments of the South Korean company Tribest. This is an elite-class twin-screw horizontal juicer equipped with all-metal augers. It has no equal in the quality of pressing the hardest products, vegetables, wheatgrass and roots. It is able to cope with the processing of any products - from apples and carrots to greens and needles, without requiring rest and replacement of elements. It is the highest endurance and performance on hard products that allows this model to take a well-deserved second place in the ranking.
Tribest Green Star Elite is the 4th generation model based on innovative technologies. Due to the very slow speed of only 110 revolutions per minute, it practically does not heat up and does not exfoliate the juice, and does not cause the breakdown of useful elements. Special magnetic and ceramic technologies built into the auger increase product shelf life while minimizing the loss of precious enzymes and enzymes.
Among the features of the model, it is worth noting that it takes up a little more space in the kitchen and is somewhat more difficult to wash compared to other vertical models.
Tribest Green Star Elite is assembled in Korea and comes with a unique long warranty of 15 years for home use and 1 year for commercial use.
Hurom Premium Alpha Plus HZ is new for 2018. This is the premium, most versatile and quietest model of the 3rd generation of vertical auger juicers from a leading South Korean manufacturer.
Hurom Premium Alpha Plus HZ features an updated design. It is equipped with a durable stainless steel case. The design of the funnel cover provides for the presence of two holes at once for loading products of various shapes. Additionally, the kit includes a nozzle for citrus fruits.
GE-Ultem, the latest heavy-duty material, is used to manufacture the key elements of the auger structure and the squeezing basket frame. It is not subject to destruction and does not emit harmful substances even under the highest loads. Juices made by Hurom Premium Alpha Plus HZ contain a maximum of useful substances.
For a more budget-friendly and tidy option, the Alpha Plus comes in a rugged plastic case. The main difference is the absence of an additional nozzle for squeezing citrus fruits. Otherwise, it has identical technical characteristics, has even more compact dimensions and is able to serve for a very long time.
The most compact juicer
Outside the ranking of the best juicers, Zdorovaya Tekhnika specialists noted the original Hurom GI model - the most compact and most budgetary in the collection of horizontal juicers. At the same time, it easily copes with the processing of any food, can prepare juices with or without pulp, fits perfectly into a small kitchen and makes it easy to cook for a family of two.
The machine comes standard with attachments for chopping food, making sorbets and making homemade noodles. An optional oil press tool is available.

A juicer is not the most complex device, but the variety of models on the market can be confusing. To make it easier for customers to understand, the imarket.by online store sometimes ranks the best equipment in terms of price / quality ratio. This time in our review of the ten best universal juicers that are perfect for home use or for processing a country harvest.
Especially for this rating, we chose only universal models, so there will be no mechanical devices designed exclusively for squeezing juice from citrus fruits (with a working area in the form of a cone). For such equipment, perhaps, we will make a separate rating. Thus, the top ten universal juicers according to the imarket.by online store looks like this:
Top 10 Universal Juicers
- 10. Zhuravinka SVSP-303 (the best domestic juicer)

- 1. Hurom Basic HE-RBE04 (best premium model)
And now about each model in more detail.
10. Zhuravinka SVSP-303 (the best domestic juice extractor)
The simplest and most inexpensive model of our rating opens the top ten - the Belarusian Zhuravinka SVSP-303. The manufacturer of this equipment is the Mogilev plant "Elektrodvigatel", for which household appliances are rather related products than the main activity. Accordingly, Zhuravinka juicers did not use any special innovative technologies that required additional financial investments, which means that the price of this equipment is very low.
Zhuravinka SVSP-303 is a centrifugal juicer with a power consumption of 160 watts. At the same time, the productivity is at least 700 grams per minute. At the same time, Belarusian machinery is predictably designed not so much for fruit processing, but for getting juice from vegetables and getting grated potatoes. That is, if you like to cook potato pancakes, Zhuravinka is an almost indispensable option.
The pulp is discarded into a separate container; a special container is provided for the juice. Both are included in the kit. Since the main calculation was made for the processing of hard fruits, a motor blocking mode is provided in case of overheating.
The case is plastic, but the equipment looks quite presentable. A cord storage compartment is provided, and special rubber pads on the legs provide good stability even on wet surfaces.
As for the build quality, we can confidently say that there are no serious complaints about the equipment of the Belarusian manufacturer. Zhuravinka juicers have been in demand for more than a year due to their unpretentiousness and really low price. Zhuravinka SVSP-303 is in the top ten models due to popular popularity and exceptionally affordable price.
Juicer Zhuravinka SVSP-303
9. Philips HR1863/00 (best design)
In 9th place is the Philips HR1863/00 centrifugal type juicer. It is part of the Philips Viva collection of home appliances. A variety of Viva collection devices have a recognizable concept and are often made in black and gray with metal inserts.
Philips HR1863/00 is a juicer with an aluminum body and transparent plastic containers, which make it possible to visually control the work process. The declared power is 700 W, which is quite enough for most of the necessary operations (squeezing, grinding, mixing).
Directly in this model, the pulp is not thrown away, but is collected in a special built-in container with a capacity of 1.2 liters. The manufacturer notes that this design made it possible to implement QuickClean quick cleaning technology. To clean it, it is enough to pour water into the supply chamber, and after a minute the equipment can be put to dry. The special smooth surface of the built-in container eliminates the need for long rinsing.
The feed chamber itself has an enlarged hole diameter of 75 mm. It can be assumed that a medium-sized apple will pass quite well. For juice, a special plastic jug with a volume of 0.8 liters is provided in the kit. The system allows you to extract up to 2 liters of juice without having to empty the pulp compartment.
The case has a cord storage compartment. The mains cable is about a meter long. The design allows you to wash the juicer under running water and in the dishwasher. Non-slip feet make the case more stable.
Philips HR1863/00 looks very presentable - and this is its main distinguishing feature. Easy to assemble, disassemble and easy to clean. The juicer was created with the expectation of a harmonious addition to the interior and is a model designed for serving (pouring juice into glasses). It will definitely not fit for processing the potato crop.
Philips juicer HR186300
8. Panasonic MJ-DJ31STQ (best 3in1 juicer)
Quite often, leading manufacturers create juicers that, thanks to various attachments, can easily be transformed into a blender or chopper. Panasonic MJ-DJ31STQ is just such a mini-harvester. The nozzle in the form of a tall transparent jug turns the juicer into a shaker (blender for creating cocktails), and if you need to grind coffee or other solid products, you can use the mill nozzle as a working module. A power of 800 watts is enough, including for efficient grinding. However, these are rather additional features. The main purpose of this device is, of course, squeezing juice.
Panasonic MJ-DJ31STQ is a centrifugal type juicer with an emphasis on squeezing juice from fresh fruits. A specific design difference is the swivel spout, which makes it easy to pour the resulting juice into glasses. As soon as one glass is full, turn the spout slightly and fill another. And so that drops do not fall on the table during the turn, just lift the module up.
The centrifuge in the working chamber is made of stainless steel and is equipped with a knife in the shape of the letter S. This geometry of the cutting edge allows you to hold the fruit in place during processing, which significantly speeds up the time and quality of the extraction. The round loading opening with a diameter of 75 mm allows you to use the whole fruit. The set includes a jug for juice with a volume of about 1.5 liters, as well as a 2-liter container for pulp.
The two-speed rotary switch allows you to switch the juicer to the mode of squeezing soft or hard products, depending on the need. For safe operation, Panasonic engineers recommend continuous operation cycles of no more than 2 minutes. After you need to take a short break (about 2 minutes), and you can resume work.
Thus, the Panasonic MJ-DJ31STQ is a great mini food processor for home cooking, but this juicer is almost not designed for processing a large number of products. For winemakers and lovers of tomato juice, it will be almost useless. Considering not the widest scope, we give the 8th place.
Panasonic MJ-DJ31STQ Juicer
7. Braun Multiquick 3 (J 300) (the best juicer for home cooking)
In 7th place in our rating, the Braun Multiquick 3 (J 300) is a juicer that is good not only for pouring fresh juice into glasses, but also quite suitable for processing a large number of products. The Braun designers sought to create a model that would combine elegant design and high versatility. It is safe to say that they succeeded.
Braun Multiquick 3 (J 300) is a centrifugal type juicer with a maximum power consumption of 800 watts. Unlike the Panasonic MJ-DJ31STQ, which we analyzed above, a 4-stage safety shutdown system is provided here. Blocking the motor in case of overheating allows you not to worry that the engine will fail due to prolonged operation. Firstly, there is no need to independently monitor the time of work, and secondly, it allows you to work more calmly with large volumes of products. The control system provides a 2-speed mode. To obtain small amounts of juice, you can use the quick extraction mode.
The loading opening diameter of 75 mm allows you to use medium-sized fruits and vegetables without pre-treatment. The special shape of the spout (“Anti-drop” system) prevents splashing of juice during processing and after finishing work.
The elegant black case made of glossy plastic with High gloss metal inserts was specially created so that the juicer blends harmoniously into the interior of any kitchen. The rubberized base makes the structure more stable on wet surfaces, and the removable parts can be washed in the dishwasher or under running water.
The kit includes a special nozzle-fine stainless steel sieve for better filtration of the finished juice, as well as a special cleaning brush.
Braun Multiquick 3 (J 300) is one of the best mid-budget models. It has everything for high-quality processing of both small portions of the product, and a large number of vegetables or fruits. The quality of Braun also leaves no doubt that this is a really reliable and durable technique.
Braun Multiquick 3 (J 300) Juicer
6. Gorenje JC803G Gorenje JC803G is a centrifugal type model, which was specially developed for processing large volumes of products. It does not differ in some exceptional design, but on the other hand, the functionality will completely suit those who are looking for reliable equipment for processing summer cottage crops. The device can be used both to obtain a large amount of juice, and to grind tomatoes or potatoes. The filtration system is supplemented with a microfilter, which allows you to get the purest juice. The volume of a special container for pulp is 2.5 liters, and a liter plastic jug for juice (included) is equipped with a lid.
The power consumption of 800 W is sufficient for long-term processing, including hard fruits. Given the purpose, automatic blocking of the motor in case of overheating is provided. The diameter of the loading hole is 85 mm, which is an order of magnitude larger than that of ordinary home juicers.
Another advantage is smooth speed control. Three speed settings allow you to process soft vegetables at low speeds, hard vegetables at higher speeds.
The plastic case is equipped with vacuum legs that will firmly hold the juicer on the table surface, and the modules and containers are firmly held by special clamps.
In a word, Gorenje JC803G is a very inexpensive and very practical juicer, which is ideal for working in the country. In addition to its obvious advantages, it should be noted that the manufacturer gives a guarantee for 2 years of stable operation. An excellent choice if you need efficient and reliable equipment for large volumes of work.
Gorenje JC803G Juicer
5. Hotpoint SJ 4010 AXL0 (excellent extraction quality)
On the fifth position of our rating is the Italian auger juicer Hotpoint SJ 4010 AXL0. Unlike centrifugal-type models, where a grater is used, the screw design is more like a meat grinder. Here, the juice is squeezed out, and not collected after preliminary grinding of the product into porridge. Due to this, the juice does not heat up, which means that useful substances and vitamins do not break down.
The Hotpoint SJ 4010 AXL0 uses slow-pressing technology that produces 30% more juice than other juicers in its class. The result exceeds all expectations, but the cake is almost dry. On the one hand, this is good if juice is your goal, on the other hand, it is unlikely that you will be able to effectively grind potatoes for potato pancakes.
Given the design features, auger-type juicers consume almost half as much electricity. Power Hotpoint SJ 4010 AXL0 only 400 W - this is a standard figure for this type of equipment.
The noise level, of course, is also several times lower than that of centrifugal models. The screw mechanism is equipped with a reverse function for convenience. If the working chamber becomes clogged, you can always free it by turning on the reverse stroke mode. In addition, the bowl can be easily cleaned without dismantling. It is enough just to fill it with water. The set includes a container for juice with a volume of 1 liter and the same container for pulp.
Hotpoint SJ 4010 AXL0 is a premium juicer in a strict metal case. It was specially developed for those who are interested in getting juice with the maximum set of vitamins and nutrients. If you are a connoisseur of exceptional quality, pay attention to this technique.
Hotpoint SJ 4010 AXL0 Juicer
4. Moulinex XXL JU655 (best high power juicer)
Moulinex household appliances have always been considered a model of high quality. The French manufacturer almost does not produce cheap models. This applies not only to large-sized devices, but also to small household appliances for the kitchen.
The Moulinex JU655 juicer received the XXL attachment due to its high power (1200 W) and the increased volume of the loading opening (85 mm). This is a centrifugal type model, which was specially designed for processing a large number of products, as well as for daily use.
The "Direct Serving" option means the possibility of direct juice output directly into the glass, bypassing the juice container, if necessary. However, if long-term work is expected, you can use a special juice jug with a capacity of 1.25 liters. The jug is equipped with a foam separator, when pouring juice into glasses, the foam remains inside. The pulp is collected in a container with a capacity of 2 liters.
For processing soft and hard products, 2 speeds are provided. At a higher one, you can squeeze the juice from beets, carrots, rub potatoes. Despite the fact that the design is quite stable, it is better to hold the case slightly during operation, since the power is really high. For example, a kilogram of citrus fruits (6-7 fruits) is processed in about 10-15 seconds. If necessary, the engine can be quickly blocked using a special arc-shaped handle.
The main part of the body is made of metal. The plastic container for cake is attached to the top. In addition to special dishes, a cleaning brush is provided in the kit.
Moulinex XXL JU655 is a juicer with great capacity and power. It is suitable for working with almost any product, while you get the result very quickly. All Moulinex appliances are of high quality materials and workmanship, they are really reliable and durable appliances.
Moulinex XXL JU655
3. Polaris PEA 0930 Apple (best budget juicer)
If you do not want to buy expensive equipment, but are interested in a reliable juicer, pay attention to the Polaris PEA 0930 Apple. This is a very inexpensive model for daily home use.
An ordinary glass is best suited as a container, although a special plastic jug with a 0.55 liter foam separator (included) can also be used. With this juicer, you can process a large number of products, but the process will take much longer than, for example, Moulinex XXL JU655H. The container for collecting pulp has a volume of 1 liter.
Polaris PEA 0930 Apple is a centrifugal device with a power of 900 watts. Quite a high figure, given the small size. There are two speed modes for working with products of different hardness. It is important to note that the engine is equipped with overheating protection and automatic blocking.
If you paid attention to the photo under the description, then you probably noticed an unusual design. The drawing on plastic is made in the style of 3D printing with the effect of the visual volume of the image. Depending on the main color of the case (black or red), one of two variants of the pattern is used.
As the name implies, the Polaris designers developed this model specifically for squeezing juice from apples. At the same time, the manufacturer is sure that 65 mm is a “wide neck size”. In fact, this diameter is almost the smallest among the devices from our rating. However, for a small juicer this is quite enough. Large apples should be cut in half before loading.
Thus, Polaris PEA 0930 Apple is a small but quite reliable juicer for daily use. It can be recommended to families with children, and to everyone who adheres to a healthy lifestyle. Compact and very inexpensive, it is equipped with everything necessary for squeezing juice from products of any hardness. Due to the good price-quality ratio, it deserves the 3rd place in the top ten.
Polaris PEA 0930 Apple
2. REDMOND RJ-M908 (high performance juicer)
In second place is the juicer, which, in terms of technical equipment, is clearly ahead of all the rest of our ten. It even has a backlit LCD display. But first things first.
REDMOND RJ-M908 is a centrifugal type juicer with a fairly high power consumption. The nominal consumption rate is 1000 W, the maximum can be a record 3000 W. It's hard to imagine what that kind of power could be used for, but don't forget that high power consumption isn't always directly proportional to high performance. However, it can be assumed that there will be no problems with the processing of any kind of products.
The control system is designed for 5 speeds, and the soft start function does not make the device flinch at the start. The speed level is shown on the backlit electronic display. The engine, by the way, will not turn on if it is assembled incorrectly, and the automatic locking system will stop it in case of overheating during operation. Very useful additions for a device with such a lot of power.
One would assume that such a powerful technique would be very noisy, but the maximum level here is only 75 dB. Not much for a juicer.

1. Hurom Basic HE-RBE04 (best premium model)
The Hurom brand in the world of juicers is like Bentley in the world of cars. The South Korean company specializes exclusively in the production of auger juicers and does not produce other equipment. Hurom products are considered worldwide as the standard of style and quality. Any model will cost a lot, but the workmanship will always be at the highest level.
Hurom Basic HE-RBE04 is a device that uses the patented LSTS (Low Speed System Technology) wringing system. Thanks to the slow pressing technology, almost 2 times more juice is obtained compared to conventional centrifugal models. At the same time, the juice does not stratify into fractions, and all useful substances and vitamins are preserved in it.
Power consumption - only 150 W, which is almost 10 times less than conventional juicers. At the same time, this model was originally designed for a family of 4 people. In addition to high performance, the continuous operation time is about 30 minutes. For comparison, the Panasonic MJ-DJ31STQ, which is in 8th place in our rating, has a recommended time of only 2 minutes. Thus, Hurom Basic HE-RBE04 is perfect for processing large volumes of products, as well as for squeezing juice for 1-2 glasses. The set includes a transparent container for juice with a volume of 0.3 liters.
Hurom manufactures all its products in South Korea and China. The assembly of this model was carried out at the Korean factory. Engine warranty is 5 years (!). Another advantage of the Hurom Basic HE-RBE04 is its low noise level. The juicer during operation makes no noise louder than a conventional microwave oven.
