Hottest Kitchen Trends 20232023 kitchen trends by Decorilla designer, Amanda K.
Trends and fads rise and fall, but some ground-breaking designs stick for a while, if not forever. Besides, among the top interior design trends of 2023 are timeless styles that’ll work in any setting.
Tip: It’s important to know that kitchen trends 2023 come in many different styles. Taking an interior design style quiz can help you pinpoint which trends match your personal style! 1. Let There Be LIGHTLight-filled kitchen trends of 2023 by Decorilla designer, Elizabeth L.
All kitchen trends of 2023 are moving toward lighter and brighter spaces. So, whatever the design or final look, the room will be full of sunlight. That said, maximizing light has been a popular kitchen trend for a while. However, huge windows, light hues, and reflective matte materials will boost the glow even more in the coming years.
2. Think Kitchen HoodWhite kitchen trends of 2023 by Decorilla designer, Melissa T.
Whether minimalist or traditional, a cooker hood makes a statement. These designs promise fun and creative ways to highlight the kitchen hood. But in the same way, kitchen remodel ideas for 2023 also lean towards minimal and integrated styles. These seem invisible, especially in forward-thinking traditional and online kitchen designs.
3. Family Focus2023 kitchen trends by Decorilla designer, Wanda P.
Comfy, cozy spaces with enough seating for family take precedence in residential designs. However, balancing comfort and style is vital to the family-friendly spaces of the future. Moreover, the four-pawed family members also get a spot. Improved kitchen islands come with neatly built-in pet-feeding stations. These are great as a fitting to a kitchen island or in a side cabinet.
4. Mini High-EndKitchen paint colors 2023 by Decorilla designer, Kristina B
Short-term rentals, especially for quick getaways, are getting a luxe makeover. Creating a small bespoke interior increases the appeal of your vacation rental, without a doubt. But it also makes sticking to a kitchen remodel guide easy. A corner of cabinets topped off with statement finishes are all you need for a small-scale luxe kitchen.
5. Ecocentric DesignTop eco kitchen trends of 2023 by Decorilla designer, Anna Y.
Expect to see an increase in organic, eco-friendly green design. Plastic, unless recycled, is out, and natural, sustainably sourced materials are in. With a heightened awareness of the environmental impact of design, the green movement is sure to stay. To follow suit, opt for ethically sourced and eco-friendly materials.
Enriching Kitchen Remodel Ideas 2023Kitchen remodel ideas of 2023 in a luxe basement interior by Decorilla designer, Meric S.
The kitchen makes a decisive impact on a home’s buyability. In fact, potential buyers might not consider a house if they dislike the kitchen. Beyond increasing your property’s resale value, an updated interior will also be more enjoyable during its daily use.
6. Diversify MaterialsTwo-tone wood kitchens are gaining popularity, but it’s more than contrast that makes it appealing. Kitchen remodel ideas for 2023 predict an increase in multi-material kitchens. This means wood, stone, and ceramics will sit alongside new and upcoming mediums. The result will certainly be visually and texturally pleasing.
7. Space-Saving Cupboard KitchenIn 2023, kitchen trends are making the most of compact interiors. Highly populated metropolises are always in need of space-saving and innovative designs. As a result, stowaway kitchens have become popular in tight spaces. This means a room can have more than one function.
A wood shutter, like in the room above, can cover a bed during the day and slide over to cover the kitchen at night. These designs are so sleek and minimal that they fit into a standard built-in cupboard. So, if you want to renovate, consider one of the up-and-coming space-smart alternatives.
8. Vintage RevivalCottage-inspired kitchen remodel ideas for 2023 by Decorilla designer, Liana S.
Make the most of what you have. Gut renovations are not necessarily key to your kitchen revamp in the next few years. Some styles, like cottage design, are making a comeback, which means you can simply modernize other details. With this in mind, lighting and cabinets always have a great potential to update an interior.
9. Use an Ex-Show KitchenStunning show kitchen featuring sink trends of 2023 by Decorilla designer, Marya W.
Buying a second-hand kitchen is becoming possible thanks to ex-showroom designs. You can purchase a complete kitchen that is at the forefront of what’s trending. In this way, you’ll keep costs low as well as reuse products. It’s a financially-wise and environmentally friendly option.
Grounding Kitchen Countertop Trends 2023Kitchen countertop trends 2023 by Decorilla designer, Sonia C.
Non-toxic surfaces are imperative to a healthy kitchen environment. Countertops range from solid natural stone, marble, wood, and metals. Many of these options look great next to the top kitchen hardware trends of 2023.
10. Full of CharacterKitchen design and countertop trends for 2023 allow more personalization than ever. If it’s not cabinets or wall color, surfaces can add character to the interior. Although we have new options every year, it looks like the design world is moving to neutral, calming designs with a pop of interest here and there. A deeply veined countertop could be just the thing your space needs in 2023.
11. Jewelry-Box TerrazzoColorful kitchen featuring countertop trends of 2023 by Decorilla designer, Aida A.
Terrazzo adds a unique look to interiors. They’re available in tile format, big-scale for floors, backsplashes, and countertops. It can take on exactly the look you want while reusing chips of other building materials, like glass and marble.
For this reason, it’s an eco-friendly choice and becoming more popular as our green awareness improves. Plus, its versatility will match any kitchen cabinet color trends of 2023 and beyond.
12. New SteelAll-steel kitchen featuring countertop trends of 2023 by Decorilla designer, Rajna S.
Minimal yet welcoming stainless-steel kitchen cabinets make some of the most attractive trends of 2023. Moreover, it’s not only the counter but the entire kitchen that can get a full-metal treatment. Yet, they come with a twist. Brushed, mirrored, laser-printed, and matte finishes will give more variety and suit a range of interior styles.
Kitchen Paint Colors Splash into 2023Blue kitchen paint colors of 2023 by Decorilla designer, Selma A.
Even the smallest kitchen remodel can benefit from paint colors for 2023. Besides, a fresh coat of color can change the complete feel of the interior. It can turn a bland space into one that energizes and inspires.
13. Matte Black KitchenBlack kitchen paint colors hot in 2023 by Decorilla designer, Shasta P.
Black is more than a deep contrasting base or accent shade. With a diversity of finishes and materials in the darkest hue, you can create a layered interior using only black. That said, black still stands out most set against a contrasting color. Plus, kitchen paint colors in 2023 will have dozens of attractive black tints. They could also make a blissful neutral picture when mixed with woody tones.
14. Olive Green KitchenOlive kitchen paint colors for 2023 by Decorilla designer, Erin R.
A gentle olive hue will be a delightful alternative for interior lovers who prefer more neutral green in their homes. As one of the earthy kitchen paint colors of 2023, it leans to the warmer spectrum while pairing exceptionally well with white or black. That said, a cool combo with gray or a colorful mix with terracotta could make an unforgettable space.
15. Warming VanillaMilky latte or spiced vanilla hues match whereto design is moving – natural and uncomplicated spaces. They’re sure to give an interior a refreshing yet warming glow. Plus, the neutral tone is great for making the most of kitchen backsplash trends in 2023.
Keep the design simple and splash out with a contrasting or bright color next to the stovetop. It won’t only pack a small but powerful punch, but also allow an easy change when the time comes for an update.
Refining Kitchen Decor Ideas 2023Neoclassical kitchen decor ideas for 2023 by Decorilla designer, Rajna S.
The finishing touches matter. They certainly round off an interior’s hard edges. And kitchen décor ideas for 2023 are set to tastefully enhance the space without overpowering the overall look and feel.
16. Art MagnifiedArtwork dominates kitchen decor ideas in 2023 by Decorilla designer, Drew F.
Few but bold decorative elements are the secret ingredients of future kitchens. Expect oversize artwork or a feature sculpture to steal the show in these interiors soon. Art isn’t just easy to incorporate with kitchen remodel ideas, it also works well with the top cabinet color trends for 2023.
17. Something QuirkyHomes are set on regaining a sense of fun. Likewise, the kitchen gets a playful touch. This could come in the form of a set of spritely bonsai trees, sculptures that immortalize a humble toy dinosaur, or a large (but pretty) rock. Whatever puts a smile on your face can have a spot in the kitchen – even a whacky sink befitting the trend of 2023 will do!
18. Backsplash TalksKitchen decor and backsplash trends 2023 by Decorilla designer, Samantha S.
Designer kitchen backsplash trends make a comeback in 2023. The renewed focus includes more Art Deco style designs as well as heat and moisture-resistant wallpaper. The latter also opens a modish world to tenants or those who want to try something new before committing to a renovation.
If wallpaper is for you, be sure to seal it with an extra layer of protection. Non-toxic water-based matte varnish will do the job.
19. A Bit of BlingShimmering kitchen décor ideas for 2023 by Decorilla designer, Jessica D.
If not wood, then metallics should add warmth to an interior. Copper, bronze, and gold are among the favorites for décor finishes in the coming years. Shimmery vases, bowls, light shades, and hardware can spice up your design. The hue will certainly add a cozy-hug feeling, especially in colder spaces full of marble. Moreover, metallics go well with kitchen cabinet color trends for 2023.
Warming Kitchen Lighting Trends 2023Layered kitchen lighting trends of 2023 by Decorilla designer, Darya N.
It’s no secret that light profoundly impacts the look and feel of an interior (and an exterior, as a matter of fact). It’s a crucial element that can make the difference between meh and wow! Moreover, proper lighting design makes the most of a kitchen and helps us use it to the fullest. Plus, they can make kitchen hardware trends shine even more in 2023.

23. Traditional with a TwistNew vintage kitchen lighting trends for 2023 by Decorilla designer, Erin R.
Beloved lampshades feature higher up than the typical floor or table lamp. Expect to see globe pendants with petticoat shades and horn or empire-style shades dress new chandeliers. These lighting trends fit in with the revival of cottage-style and English country interiors.
24. Bubble FeverMolecular kitchen lighting trends for 2023 by Decorilla designer, Laura A.

With 2023 just a few short months away, designers and interior decorators are already gearing up for the trends the New Year will bring. And when it comes to kitchen design, we can expect big things. From enhanced technology to bold colors and more multifunctional spaces, 2023 will be all about increasing convenience, comfort, and personal style in the kitchen. Here are 6 kitchen design trends that will be big in 2023, according to experts.
Smart Technology
As technology continues to advance, the use of smart technology in the kitchen is expected to increase. This includes appliances that are connected to your wifi and can be controlled by your smartphone, voice-activated appliances, smart touchless faucets, and more. Smart kitchens aren’t just convenient, but they help to save on time and energy–with most smart appliances being more energy-efficient than their traditional counterparts.
Butler’s Pantries
Sometimes referred to as a scullery, working pantry, or functional pantry, butler’s pantries are on the rise and expected to be popular in 2023. They can act as additional storage space for food, a dedicated food prep space, a hidden coffee bar, and so much more. David Kallie, president and CEO of Dimension Inc., a home design, build, and remodeling firm based out of Wisconsin, says that in particular, he expects to see more concealed or secret butler’s pantries in the near future. “Customizable appliances that perfectly mimic the cabinetry are a trend that has been gaining speed for years. New in concealed kitchen design is the secret butler’s pantry…hidden behind a matching cabinetry panel or a sliding ‘wall’ door."

Slab Backsplashes
Traditional white subway tile backsplashes and trendy zellige tile backsplashes are being replaced in favor of sleek, large-scale slab backsplashes. A slab backsplash is simply a backsplash made out of one large piece of continuous material. It can be matched to the countertops, or used as a statement piece in the kitchen with a bold contrasting color or design. Granite, quartz, and marble are popular choices for slab backsplashes although there are many options available.
“Many clients are requesting slab backsplashes that go all the way to the ceiling around windows or around a range hood,” says Emily Ruff, owner and Principal Designer at Seattle-based design firm Cohesively Curated Interiors. “You can forgo the upper cabinets to allow the stone to shine!”
Slab backsplashes aren’t just eye-catching, they’re functional too, points out April Gandy, Principal Designer at Alluring Designs Chicago. “Carrying the countertop to the backsplash provides a seamless, clean look, [but] it is also so easy to keep clean since there are no grout lines,” she says.

Organic Elements
The past few years have been all about bringing nature into the home and this isn’t expected to stop in 2023. Organic elements will continue to make their way into kitchens in the form of natural stone countertops, organic and eco-friendly materials, wood cabinetry and storage, and metal accents, to name a few. Sierra Fallon, Lead Designer at Rumor Designs, sees natural stone countertops in particular as a trend to watch out for in 2023. “While quartz will remain a go-to for many, we will see a growth in the use of beautiful marbles and quartzites with more color on countertops, backsplashes, and hood surrounds,” she says.
Cameron Johnson, CEO, and Founder of Nickson Living predicts this green movement will manifest in both large and small items in the kitchen. Things like “wood or glass bowls in lieu of plastic, stainless trash bins, and wood storage containers,” on top of bigger-ticket items like marble countertops or natural wood cabinets are all things to watch out for in 2023, Johnson says.
Large Islands Designed for Dining
The kitchen is the heart of the home, and many homeowners are opting for larger kitchen islands to accommodate dining and entertaining directly in the kitchen rather than a formal dining room. Hilary Matt of Hilary Matt Interiors says this is a function of homeowners “redefining the spaces in our homes.” She adds, “Traditional kitchens are evolving into other parts of the home. In the coming year, I predict larger—and even double—kitchen islands will be integrated to accommodate for larger entertaining and gathering spaces in the kitchen.”
Interior Impressions
Warm Colors Are In
While white will continue to be a popular choice for kitchens in 2023, we can expect to see kitchens get a bit more colorful in the new year. In particular, homeowners are embracing warmer tones and bold pops of color rather than monochromatic, Scandinavian-style minimalism or white and gray farmhouse-style kitchens. Of the push towards using more color in the kitchen, Fallon says that she sees lots of organic and saturated colors being big in 2023 in all areas of the kitchen. Expect to see all-white cabinets switched out in favor of warm, natural wood tones in both dark and light hues.
When white and gray are used, we can expect to see those colors warmed up significantly compared to previous years. Basic gray and stark white are out and creamy off-whites and warm grays are in says Stacy Garcia, CEO and Chief Inspiration Offer at Stacy Garcia Inc.

Single spaceDesign: Natalia Vasilyeva
You won’t surprise anyone with a combined kitchen-living room - a fashion trend has long passed into the category of classics. The concept of a single space within which you can cook, communicate with family or friends, work and relax is firmly established both in the minds of people and in the layouts of new apartments. More and more euro-twos and euro-threes are appearing - this is housing designed according to European canons, where the bedrooms are made small and isolated, and up to 50% of the area is allocated for a spacious kitchen-living room, where all life is in full swing.
What is important to consider when decorating such a space?
- The main idea is unity. Do not pile up walls and partitions, do not block the light, do not split the room into small cramped areas. This is especially important for small apartments, where you need to create the illusion of a spacious room.
- The main problem of such a neighborhood is that the sounds and smells from the cooking area will also hover in the living room. The problem is solved by a powerful hood and good ventilation. If you cook a lot, and you need to create privacy in the hall, you can use light partitions, preferably transparent or at least letting in light. The best options are glass screens, mobile screens and rack structures.
- The cooking area is most often made discreet, shifting the focus of attention to the living room with a sofa group. To do this, you will need laconic facades, hidden storage systems (including household appliances) and a neutral palette that will almost merge with the finish.
- The standard way to zone the cooking area and the living part of the room is the dining group located between them and forming a smooth transition. It can be a full-fledged dining table or a bar counter, depending on the lifestyle of the owners.
Another long-term trend that is unlikely to lose popularity in the near future.

But if in the last few years neutral natural tones, especially white and gray, have been an obvious trend, now the direction is changing a bit. There are two categories of cozy, eye-friendly and brain-friendly color schemes for the kitchen.
Warm base
First of all, these are all sorts of beige variations: from a light shade of sand dunes or delicate creamy to a denser wheaten. As well as any other "edible" tones:
- Honey.
- Dairy.
- Biscuit.
- Champagne.
- Cappuccino.
- Creme brulee.
- Vanilla.
- Milk chocolate, etc.
The most popular choice is a combo of beige and light gray, which can be further diluted with a warm white base or, conversely, accents. It turns out an airy and light design with a nod to the Scandinavian style.
No need to limit yourself to basic shades, the cooking area and the dining group can be enlivened with rich shades, also seen in nature. Choose not acidic, but soothing deep tones. Then even on a large area (for example, if it is a set or a whole wall), they will look harmonious and not annoying.
Feel free to add to the palette:
- Blue and cyan. Any variations will do: shades of the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean, thunderclouds, indigo, the sky on a sunny day, cornflower blue.
- Orange and yellow. Do not be afraid of the shades of the soil: terracotta, ocher, clay, brick, the color of the southern scorched earth will make the interior more comfortable. Sunny yellow or a shade of melted butter will cope with the same task.
- Red. Choose deep wine, pomegranate and berry shades.
- Green. For facades, a sage color with a gray fade (for a lighter color scheme) or a deep and warm tone of olive oil (for a darker one) is suitable. They can also be used as accents.

But if in the living room or bedroom it is clear how to implement it - curved sofas, shell chairs, round carpets, upholstered headboards - then in the cooking area we are used to seeing designs with right angles. But now, projects are beginning to actively use sets with radiused facades, rounded islands, curved lines in decorative elements, and arched shapes. And finally, there is an easy way to soften the interior - put a round or oval table in the dining area.

4. Compact cooking zone
The lifestyle of a modern urban dweller, especially in megacities, is changing.

Many processes are optimized, thus freeing up time for a career, self-development and communication with loved ones, including cooking. Someone uses the delivery of ready-made food, someone prefers to eat out. But the fact remains: on average, people cook less, and someone even makes only light breakfasts at home.
The design of the kitchen in the apartment is also adapted to these changing needs. Massive structures occupying two walls completely are being replaced by compact corner or linear systems with two-burner stoves, hidden storage and a small work surface.

Colors can be divided vertically or horizontally, clearly 50 by 50 or by the principle of color blocking: one tone is basic, the second is accent. The classic version is a darker color at the bottom of the furniture, a lighter one at the top, but no one forbids breaking these canons. For example, two different functional areas can be divided by color: a cooking area with an apron, a sink, a stove, a countertop, and a structure with storage and built-in appliances.

7. No dining table
Today, homeowners are increasingly moving away from the traditional dining table. And it doesn't matter if it's in a tiny studio or a spacious apartment.
Design: Denis and Anton Yurov. Photo: Evgeny Gnesin
The trend will obviously gain momentum - just like the rejection of capacious full-fledged headsets. This is due to the modern rhythm of life: we increasingly have lunch, dinner and even breakfast outside the home, so for many, the kitchen in the apartment ceases to be the main room. Enough of a small corner for a coffee break or a quick snack. And if one person or a couple without children lives in the apartment, then a wide island or bar counter is enough to replace a full-fledged dining table.
Of course, this solution is not suitable for everyone: for example, it will be uncomfortable for older people to sit even on the softest bar stools. But otherwise, the trend is quite bright, and it will obviously only strengthen its position, especially in the face of rising real estate prices and, accordingly, the growing popularity of small-sized housing.

Despite new trends appearing in the design of the kitchen, the design of this room will remain unchanged for at least several years. Here are some styles that will definitely not lose their relevance in the near future.
Minimalism
Ard Design Social Media
Minimalism can hardly be called a trend - it's a whole philosophy of life without rigid design canons. The direction develops, changes and integrates into everyday life, going beyond the interior.
To keep the kitchen interior design in this style relevant, follow the following rules.
- Use warm, diluted shades to add warmth to a room and make up for the minimal amount of decor.
- Little does not mean boring. Minimalistic interiors work due to the verified forms, color depth and combination of textures. It is the textures that need to be given special attention. Combine cold and warm textures, glossy and matte surfaces. Rough concrete or stone looks great with warm wood and cozy kitchen textiles. To enliven the interior, you can add 1-2 fresh flowers in minimalist flower pots, as well as make an accent apron: lay out unusual tiles or continue the tabletop material.
- Design follows function, not the other way around. All furniture and appliances should be multi-tasking and arranged according to the principles of ergonomics.

Eco
People will continue to strive for nature, including within the interior of their apartment.
Social media blogger love_my_home_pl
Ecostyle will not leave the list of popular trends for a long time, but, like minimalism, it has already become more of a concept than a set of stylistic markers.
The key idea of ecodesign is the naturalness of all materials. In the top there is a tree or its eco-friendly analogues, which can be supplemented with artificial or natural stone, marble texture, precious metals. There should be a lot of light in the room, the decor should be only natural. Clay and ceramic dishes, textiles made from natural fabrics, accessories made of wood, stone, bamboo and other plant materials. Visually, eco-style can be close to Scandinavian interiors, minimalism or boho, depending on personal tastes and the overall style of the apartment.
Design: Irina Baldanova. Photo: Evgeny Gnesin. Style: Irina Bebeshina
In such spaces there is no "naphthalene" heaviness, bulky structures and too dense, sometimes "stuffy" colors. Instead, graceful lines, light furniture, trendy decor and noble, airy, very comfortable colors for the eyes. At the same time, neoclassicism does not abandon traditional canons: symmetry, the use of natural materials, precious metals, glass and crystal are welcome. In the dining area, you can hang a couple of original paintings, and decorate the walls with moldings. For the headset, both wood and its high-quality counterparts are suitable, as well as elements made of stone, marble, metal in gold.

Kitchen interior 2023 | TOP 5 Design Trends (120 photos)
When planning your dream kitchen, you will surely come across a lot of information that will fall on you from the pages of magazines, from the Internet. All this is not so easy to process and sort through. After all, new trends, fresh ideas, modern trends in the world of kitchen interior design 2023 never cease to amaze the average layman.
Popular colors in the interior of the kitchen in 2023 (photo)
When choosing a color scheme for a modern kitchen interior in 2023, you should be guided only by your preferences. Choosing the right paint color for the walls will allow you to visually enlarge the space, transform the whole room, and most importantly, improve not only your well-being, but also that of all household members, which will most likely increase their appetite and make eating more enjoyable. According to experts, popular colors for the kitchen in 2023 should be selected based on the interior design style of the room. But what does it look like in practice?
In a small kitchen, muted colors (eg white, grey, beige) look very nice and impressive. Also interesting is the pastel version, which optically enlarges and brightens the space. Of course, the same techniques can be applied in a kitchen that is completely separated from the rest of the rooms (the so-called closed kitchen).
Fashionable large 2023 kitchen will look great if it is decorated in classic, dark and rich colors. Such color schemes are suitable for people who love experiments, because almost all options are allowed here.
The combination of different, at first glance, ridiculous shades is a sign of refined taste. Remember - expressive and ingeniously selected colors in a large room will give individuality and character to the interior.
An important point is to consider the location of windows and furniture. If the kitchen has windows (the room is well lit), you can easily use dark colors, otherwise light pastel colors are better. When decorating the interior, make sure that the wall opposite the window is painted in a lighter shade.
Universal kitchen color choices 2023:
- Cabinets with white or gray fronts + white or gray walls;
- Dark furniture + light walls;
- Dark blue wardrobes + monochrome blue color palette;
- Red furniture + tiles in similar shades.
Making a beautiful kitchen design in 2023 in perfect colors is quite difficult. However, following new trends and fashion trends, you can make the interior stylish, bright and original. It is only important to pay attention to the following points.
White and beige is the kitchen interior design trend in 2023. These colors pair perfectly with rustic, Scandinavian and classic styles, and are perfect for modern wood furniture. Thanks to them, a small space will become neat, clean, very bright, and most importantly, optically enlarged.
Beige and white combination will add elegance and lightness to large kitchens. Regardless of the color of the furniture and decor, the interior will look great.
Pastel has always been associated with lightness and tenderness. It is perfect for a small kitchen, it will not suppress it and deprive it of lightness (especially light pink, aqua, pale yellow, blue, sand).
Pastels should be combined with a color of the same shade, because too much contrast can darken the kitchen. The exception is the same colors in different shades (for example, blue + dark blue, rich pink + delicate pink).
Composition with black is a great solution when the kitchen has furniture of the same color. Black color in the interior is experiencing a kind of renaissance. It is not often found in the interior and is an interesting alternative to white and pastel colors.
A cold tone will make a narrow kitchen more proportional. But it cannot be denied that this color is quite complex, as it absorbs light and visually makes the space look deeper. For a similar color, it is better to choose laconic furniture. Looks good in combination with dark walls (brown, black) light furniture.
Stylish accents will provide the necessary volume to the room (countertop in a contrasting color), add an atmosphere of chic and wealth to the stylish interior of the 2023 kitchen.
A special slate wall (for example, on one of the walls) is suitable for creative people, which can break the routine and make your stay in the kitchen much more interesting.
This solution is primarily for trendy and modern kitchen interiors 2023 whose photos can be found in the interior. Compositions in this style will look very creative. It is worth considering the place for drawing with chalk (for example, the surface of kitchen cabinets or refrigeration equipment).
- Gray is a very beautiful, and most importantly, universal color scheme, comparable to white and beige. It can be combined with almost all furniture (especially black and white). Gray colors (regardless of shade) look harmoniously in a modern minimalist style. Moreover, the gray color scheme can be used in a kitchen of any size (a light shade of gray is a small kitchen, a dark shade of gray is suitable for a large room, for example, a kitchen in a private house.
Colors with which you can create a warm arrangement - red, yellow, green. When using them, make sure that the shades of the accessories are muted. On the other hand, light furniture will soften the dominant bright colors and provide an optical increase in the room. The presented colors will look great in eclectic, modern and retro styles.
Caramel tones, shades of milk chocolate, peach, ripe pear, raspberry, cinnamon can be attributed to the most popular cheerful colors for interior design of the kitchen in 2023. They will create a positive mood in the kitchen, as they are associated with the sun, summer and pleasant moments. At the same time, these fantastically attractive shades are completely neutral, they bring a special coziness to the room.
An effective and attractive solution, more suitable for larger rooms, a combination of two colors on one wall.
Fashionable colors in the interior of the kitchen 2023:
- White + gray;
- Beige + brown;
- Blue + dark blue;
- White + black.
You can also use pastel colors with intense counterparts. But unlike previous solutions, which are in addition to the design of modern kitchen interior design in 2023, they will be dominant (dictating conditions), so the rest of the decor elements and all kinds of accessories (dishes, textiles, household appliances) should be matched to match the walls. 9Note! The right combination of colors for the interior of the kitchen 2023 will allow you to get a functional, beautiful and cozy space. The only limitation on color design is your imagination.

Choose classic
If you stick to the classic style when designing a trendy kitchen interior in 2023, it's hard to go wrong. Unlike newfangled trends that often change (on average once every 2-3 years), the good old classics are relevant for all time. She embodies elegance, impeccable taste and nobility.
It is especially important to give preference to the classic style if you are planning to sell an apartment. New owners may not like the bright colors and unusual elements that were in vogue a few years ago.
Choose practical materials
Kitchen furniture should be made of practical, easy-to-clean materials. For example, glossy facades look chic, but they will have to be wiped down daily, because every fingerprint is clearly visible on a perfectly smooth surface.
Make sure you have good lighting
In order for the modern kitchen 2023 to be well lit, it is necessary to provide several light sources. Work surfaces can be illuminated with spotlights; sconces or other sources of subdued light are suitable for family dinners and soulful tea parties.
Install additional sockets
You may not need them now. But in the future, you may have new kitchen appliances, and additional outlets will come in handy. In addition, during the operation of the kitchen, it is often necessary to charge the phone, connect an iron or a vacuum cleaner.
It is better to use special hangers.
Provide storage space for food and kitchen utensils They should be roomy and comfortable so that everything you need is at hand. If you have small children, drawers and doors should be equipped with a special lock.
It is also necessary to allocate space for storing a meat grinder, food processor, juicer, which you do not use so often. This will free up space on your desktop.
To store large items (vacuum cleaner, mop, ironing board) you may need a tall narrow cabinet without shelves.
Choose cabinets with glass doors
Hanging kitchen cabinets store plates, cups, glasses. To make the trendy design of the kitchen 2023 seem more spacious, their doors should be transparent. Open shelves are also a good option. They give a sense of space. But in this case, dust can settle on the dishes. You will have to carefully monitor the order in the lockers, because all the contents of the shelves will be in sight.
Order kitchen cabinets up to the ceiling
They will have more storage space. In addition, you do not have to constantly clean the upper surfaces of the cabinets from dust and greasy deposits.
Make the best use of hard-to-reach places such as corners. Corner cabinets with retractable metal dryers can be used to store kitchen utensils - pots, stewpans, pans.
Choose Built-In Appliances
Built-in kitchen appliances such as oven, refrigerator, microwave will save a lot of space as they take up less space.
How to make kitchen interior design 2023 not only fashionable and beautiful, but also practical? The answer is simple. Install an additional sink. The second sink is convenient to use for washing fruits and vegetables, defrosting food. In it, you can rinse the dishes after washing, clean fish and vegetables. The size of the additional sink is smaller than the main one, in which the dishes are washed.
Try to increase the area of the countertop
Any housewife will tell you that there are always not enough work surfaces in the kitchen. Planning a new interior is a great opportunity to increase their usable area (for example, combine two tables with one table top, use its surface instead of a window sill). The countertop in the kitchen is often used as a small bar, where you can have breakfast.
A beautiful kitchen design project 2023 can be considered successful if the countertop is at the optimal height for your height. If it is too low, you will have to bend over a lot while cooking, which can cause back pain.
