Pros
Cons

If you hate prep work, the centrifugal Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus is the juicer for you. It can fit a whole apple in its 3.5-inch-wide feed tube. Unique rivets on the top of the feed tube help easily position and guide ingredients into the juicer. In our tests, it juiced carrots and kale the fastest and was a top contender when it came to juicing apples. The results all tasted sweet and pulp-free.

The juicer’s dial is easy to use with helpful speed descriptors (slow for soft fruit, high for hard vegetables). The large, 70-ounce pitcher and heavy-duty lid were a nice bonus, perfect for serving extra large batches or storing leftovers. The pitcher even has a froth separator!

Pros
  • Easy to assemble
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Noisy

This fuss-free juicer is under $150 and performed well in our Lab testing. It’s easy to assemble, easy to use, fast and makes smooth, pulp-free juice. The 3-inch feed tube fits larger pieces of fruit and veggies, and it comes with a large 40-ounce pitcher with a lid and froth separator.

Several parts are dishwasher-safe, and it also comes with an innovative cleaning tool that wipes away the pulp from the inside, outside and bottom of the cutting blade in one swipe, while protecting your fingers. Although the juicer was a little loud in our Lab tests, the price, speed and results make up for it.

Pros
  • Quieter than other models we tested
  • Two juicing speeds
Cons
  • Large

Breville's Juice Fountain Elite is a top-notch juicer that powered through sturdy fruits and vegetables faster (and quieter!) than most juicers we tested. The resulting juice from our Lab testing was smooth, creamy and pulp-free.

It comes with a 1.1-quart juice jug with a froth separator and a 3.2-quart pulp container allowing you to juice a larger amount of produce in one session. It has a large 3-inch feeding tube to fit bigger fruits and veggies, and the juicer runs at two speeds so you can juice both hard and soft ingredients.

The juicing mechanism contains a titanium-reinforced disc and an Italian-made micro mesh filter basket made out of stainless steel which Breville claims are designed for optimum juice and nutrient extraction.

Pros
  • Quiet motor
  • Extra-large chute for easy prep work
Cons
  • Only one speed setting

The NutriBullet Slow Juicer comes with the basics you need at an entry-level price point. Accessories include a multi-purpose strainer, a juice container with visible markings, a pulp-collecting container and a scrub brush for easy cleaning. It's intuitive to assemble thanks to the design of the strainer that only allows you to insert it into the juicing chamber one way. The 3-inch wide chute can fit large pieces of fruits and veggies, and a smaller section accommodates thinner ingredients. The mechanism is also easier to clean than others which are typically narrower with more pieces and crevices.

In our initial tests, it yielded 1 cup of apple juice from three apples, which is the same impressive amount we juiced from the more powerful Pure Juicer below. It's relatively quiet and the no-drip spout lets you easily pour your tasty juice when ready. An included recipe book provides tips on juicing and other fun options like using leftover pulp for cooking and baking.

Pros
  • Small foorprint
  • Self feeding
Cons
  • Juice came out a little pulpy

This 2021 Good Housekeeping Kitchen Gear Award Winner features an updated self-feeding hopper and a large opening that can hold more ingredients while the juicer is running – that means you don’t have to worry about standing by and guiding your fruits and veggies into the grinder one by one.

While traditional juicer strainers have tiny holes that are harder to clean, this strainer features elongated slits that are much easier to clean without additional scrubbing. In our tests, it produced rich kale juice and apple juice that was very tasty but had some pulp remaining. The inclusion of multiple strainers and attachments allows you to make smoothies, ice cream and even nut milk. It has a slimmer footprint than many juicers because the pulp container is hidden under the juicer.

Best Cold Press Juicer

Best Cold Press Juicer

Pure Two-Stage Masticating Juicer

$2,495 at purejuicer.com

Credit: Pure Basic
Pros
  • Two stage juicing
  • Easy to clean
Cons
  • Pricey

This high-end appliance provides a two-stage juicing process to extract the most juice you can get out of an ingredient, making it ideal for use with hard vegetables. The left side grinds produce into a superfine pulp and the right side features a hydraulic press that exerts 2.5 tons of force to press the juice out of the superfine pulp that is held within a straining towel. In our recent Lab testing, it created apple, kale and carrot juice that had absolutely no sediment and tasted clean and sweet with incredibly vibrant color and very little foam. The resulting byproduct was minimal, bone-dry pulp.

While this style of cold press juicing is more expensive and a little more involved than most juicers because of its two-step and somewhat manual process, once you get the hang of it, you are rewarded with silky, smooth juice — and plenty of it! You can also use this juicer to make nut butter by grinding nuts through the left side and sorbet by grinding frozen fruit. All stainless steel parts are easy to clean by hand but are also dishwasher-safe and the machine comes with a 12-year transferable warranty.

Pros
  • Pulp control
  • Easy to clean
Cons
  • Pricey

Most juicers have metal mesh strainers that need to be diligently scrubbed, but the Hurom Easy Clean Slow Juicer has heavy-duty plastic strainers, which change the juicer cleanup game.

They have large vertical grooves that are much easier to clean. The tilted juicing chamber pours out more juice, too, which leaves you with less mess inside. In addition to the new strainers and improved interior, this slow juicer comes with a double-sided cleaning brush that gets into all the crevices of the mechanism. Plus, it's easier to remove fruit and veggie pulp from the juicer thanks to a little trap door that allows for even easier cleaning and less digging around the machine to clean it thoroughly.

In our Lab's testing, this model made some of the freshest-tasting green juice and we loved that you can control the amount of pulp by using the fine or coarse strainer; whether you like pulpy orange juice or silky smooth cucumber juice, we found the juice to be very tasty. The coarse strainer is great for smoothies and the fine strainer for ice cream, as well.

How we test juicers

In the Good Housekeeping Institute Kitchen Appliances and Culinary Innovation Lab, we have tested more than 50 juicers including masticating juicers (a.k.a. cold-press or slow juicers) and centrifugal juicers. When we test them, we juice carrots, which are hard and can sometimes taste bitter; kale, a popular leafy vegetable that's hard to juice and can jam the machine and apples which are pulpy with a large diameter and oxidize quickly. We measure how much juice each juicer extracts as well as how much pulp is created as a byproduct. We also taste and evaluate how smooth and sweet each juice is, and we monitor the juice for three days to see if it separates as it sits.

What type of juicer is best?

✔️ Slow juicers or masticating juicers typically have a narrow vertical chute that guides ingredients into a chamber where they are pressed by a rotating auger. The fresh juice is squeezed out through a strainer and into a pitcher, while the pulp is dispensed from a second spout. The process is a little slow — it’s called a slow juicer for a reason! — but this is considered a good thing. The slow, gentle process is believed to preserve nutrients better than high-speed juicers that generate heat which can affect the taste of the final product. What we don’t love about slow juicers is they often require a little more prep work due to their small feed tubes (which means you'll have to dice up fruits and veggies into smaller chunks) and cleanup is arduous due to many small parts and crevices. Brands like Breville and NutriBullet have found a workaround and recently introduced new, wide-mouth slow juicers. This allows fruits like large apples to simply be quartered instead of chunked into one-inch pieces.

✔️ Centrifugal juicers juice much faster than slow juicers. Whole ingredients are typically dropped into the wider feed tube and pulverized at a very high speed. For example, in our leafy greens test, 100 grams of kale juiced in as quickly as 7 seconds in a centrifugal juicer, while it took upwards of 1 minute in the slow juicers. The juice from centrifugal juicers tends to come out a little foamy but most come with lidded pitchers and built-in strainers to get rid of the foam.

✔️ Citrus juicers are the easiest to use and most streamlined, but they can only be used for citrus. They can easily be stored or remain on your counter because they take up minimal space. Citrus juicers are also great for getting the most out of your lemons (and other citrus) with minimal effort, and you don’t have to worry about peeling, segmenting or removing the seeds first. If you’re juicing a lot of citrus consecutively, remember to empty the strainer periodically. The strainers are prone to build up, which could translate into a slower and messier juicing process.

What to look for when shopping for the best juicer

✔️ Price: Cold-press or masticating juicers tend to be more expensive than their centrifugal counterparts because their machinery is designed to slowly and gently extract juice. While there are some affordable options, expect to spend a couple hundred dollars to get a juicer that’s designed to last — and make good juice. While a citrus juicer tends to be at a lower price point than both masticating and centrifugal juicers, it's quite limited in its functionality.

✔️ Style: There are two different styles of juicers: vertical and horizontal – which refers to the way you juice. With a vertical juicer, you feed ingredients at the top, and juice is collected from the bottom of the juicer like the Hurom h201 Easy Clean Slow Juicer. With a horizontal juicer, you feed fruits and vegetables from the left and juice is extracted from the right like the Emeril Everyday Juicer. Vertical juicers typically have a one-piece design, making setup and cleanup a bit simpler, but they’re not quite as powerful as the slightly more cumbersome horizontal models.

✔️ Size of feed tube: The larger the tube, the less prep work — i.e. chopping — you’ll have to do. Some juicers, like the Nutribullet Slow Masticating Juicer Machine, even have one section large enough for an entire apple and another section that's designed to accommodate thin items like celery and kale for maximum efficiency.

✔️ Accessories: Some juicers come with different-sized strainers that allow for different amounts of pulp in juices — and even smoothies. A very fine strainer would reduce the amount of pulp for a silky smooth finish while a strainer with larger holes will allow some pulp to go through giving a more viscous juice with added fiber from the pulp. Some juicers can be used to make sauces, purees, nut butters and sorbets, depending on the sizing of the strainers that are provided — use finer strainers for sorbets and larger strainers for thick nut butter. If you choose a machine with these types of accessories, look for included cleaning brushes to keep things sanitary.

✔️ Power: Though most slow juicers won’t win any awards for speed, it’s worth considering power for centrifugal juicers, particularly if you juice tougher items like celery or greens. Look for models upwards of 1,000 watts to power the juicing of tough ingredients. Weaker motors may stop working mid-juice because they get overheated and need to cool down. We've experienced it several times in the Lab.

✔️ Ease of cleaning: Juicers by design have numerous parts that can be cumbersome to clean. Look for models with dishwasher-safe parts and models that come with cleaning brushes to ensure that you don’t spend more time cleaning than juicing.

✔️ Warranty: There’s no question about it — juicers are pricey appliances. If you’re investing in one that is more expensive like the Pure Juicer, it’s worth checking warranty information to ensure you’ll be satisfied for years to come.

Bringing one of the best juicers into your kitchen is a step toward a healthier lifestyle, with nutrients packed into every glass. Whether it's apples, ginger, carrots, or even nuts that you want to incorporate, one of these top juicers is up to the task.

All of the juicers included in this guide have been thoroughly reviewed by members of our reviews team, so you can not only trust that we have had hands-on experience of each one, but you can click through to read complete reviews, and learn more about each juicer's benefits and drawbacks. We tested each juicer for the quality of the results, functionality, ease of use and special features. Why you should buy it: Juice quality is unrivalled; handles soft and hard ingredients with ease.

Why we love it:
'I found that the Kuvings EVO820 produces the cleanest, purest juice with the included standard strainer. Even better, it can easily handle soft and hard fruits alike,' reports our tester Camryn Rabideau. 'You also get smoothie and sorbet strainers in the box, expanding what this machine is capable of.'

One of the hassles with masticating juicers is that you have to cut fruit into small chunks, but Kuvings solves that with its wider 3.22in feeding chute. 'While I still needed to cut fruit and remove seeds, I could fit bigger chunks in, so get results faster, really useful when I was making drinks for the whole family,' says Camryn. 'The operation is really easy, too: turn the machine on and push the fruit through the machine.'

Water can be run through the machine for a quick rinse between drinks, but the parts otherwise have to be disassembled (an easy job) and hand-washed.

Good to know
The big drawback is price, as this juicer usually costs $600. However, this isn't unusual for a slow juicer. Camryn found that 'if you want the absolute best-quality juice' then the Kuvings EVO820 is worth the price.

Plastic isn't the highest quality

Why you should buy it: Powerful; wide chute makes it easy to use.

Why we love it:
The NutriBullet NBJ50200 Juicer Pro is the best juicer for fast juicing: it comes with everything you need, including a freezer tray, a pitcher with froth separator, two glass to-go bottles, and a cleaner brush and recipe manual.

I found it a powerful option with a 1000-watt motor. Its wide chute can fit plenty of fruits and vegetables without the need to chop. The pitcher can be sealed to make juice ahead of when you want to drink it, and it's large enough to make family-sized drinks.

When I tested it I was impressed by the two speeds and the recipe book that walked me through everything I needed to know to make delicious juices. The Nutribullet was also easy to clean because most of the parts can go in the dishwasher.

Good to know:
The Nutribullet has a medium capacity. I found that with larger or less wet items the pulp basket filled up quite fast. It needs to be emptied a few times if you plan on making juice for more than two people, so consider something with a chute for non-stop juicing.

Not ideal for those with a blender they like

Why you should buy it: A blender and a juicer in one.

Why we love it:
It has removable attachments for blending and juicing, and you can use the blender pitcher to catch all the juice from the juicer spout. You could then even blend some ice or fresh fruit into your juice for delicious drinks and frozen cocktails.

While I was very impressed by the blending modes on the Breville The 3x Bluicer, its the juicing capabilities that wowed me. It has five juicing speeds with illustrations of different fruits and vegetables to help you choose the right one, as well as a diagram to show you which mode to use for which ingredients.

I found that Mode 1 is great for soft fruits such as citrus, and I also used 5 to power through whole apples. Because the 3.5-inch feeding chute was plenty wide, I could drop them in with no prep, making it very easy to create speedy juices.

Good to know:
The one complaint I have was the high levels of froth, which is common with centrifugal juicers. However, the pulp was absolutely bone dry, which is seriously impressive.

Not all parts can go in the dishwasher, but the Bluicer does come with a brush to remove pulp and fibers from the juicer filter. When you consider the two capable functions you get with this blender juicer combo, I think it's great value.

Feeding chute could have been wider

Why you should buy it: Great for single-serve juicing; compact.

Why we love it:
The Hurom HP Slow Juicer comes in a few sweet colors including mint, pink and white, and its designed with compactness in mind, so will likely fit comfortably in your kitchen cabinet, though you may have to separate the juicer portion from the base for low-sitting shelves.

Slow juicers are known for low-pressure and prolonged juicing. With a 43 RPM, former Ecommerce Editor Jaclyn Turner found it delivered juice fast and in generous volumes compared to other juicers on the market, and it left us with a very dry pulp, maximizing the flavor and nutrients that made it into our cups.

Good to know:
'The chute could have been wider – I found that it would not fit an entire apple in testing, which means more food prep and effort. Cleaning (as with most juicers) was also a hassle, but I enjoyed that this juicer can also make nut milk and even ice cream. I think it's a great choice when you consider that it's not the most expensive option in Hurom's line up.'

The best juicer for beginners

Why we love it
First of all, it looks incredible. It will slot straight into a contemporary kitchen and has a lot of counter appeal. It's a high-end, good looking appliance. More important than that, however, is that this juicer is easy to use. The instructions and assembly are easy to follow, and Nama also include recipes to help you get the most out of your juicing. Once assembled, just turn the dial and wait for your juice. There's nothing to learn or master, just straightforward juice.

This juice also aced our taste tests, creating an utterly flawless green juice with kale, spinach, cucumber and apple. It also made a perfect orange juice with the exact ratio of froth and pulp to make a refreshing, healthy drink, as well as a delicious frozen berry sorbet. For ease of use and taste, this juicer is hard to beat.

Good to know
This is a very tall appliance, about a foot and a half. If you're tight on space or your cabinets have a low clearance above your countertop, this might not work for your space. I noticed a little dripping form the juicer long after I turned it off, which is a little messy, and we also found it tricky to clean. Our cleaning expert Millie Hurst happened to be on hand and had a go a cleaning it, and found a lot of nooks and crannies where juicer material could get stuck. To be fair, this juicer comes with a handy cleaning tool, but if you're pushed for time it might not be easy to clean.

Makes pulp-heavy drinks

Why you should buy it: A great value slow juicer that performs well on fruit.

Why we love it:
'Many want to opt for a slow juicer to extract the most fiber possible from their fruits, but they can be an expensive choice. The Nutribullet Slow Juicer may be less costly, but it performs really well on fruits,' reports product tester Courtney Irwin.

Small and well-built, this compact juicer doesn’t take up much space and has few components making assembly easy.

'There’s a single on/off switch, with the 150W motor running at a constant speed for all fruit and veg. Thanks to its 3in wide chute, I found I didn't need to cut most vegetables. Juice extraction is generally good, although a touch heavy on the pulp and leafy greens can get pulled through the system without any juice extraction.

'With a 20oz jug, you can feed enough fruit to make drinks for a few people, or just make extra to store in the fridge.'

Good to know:
Hand washing will prolong the life of this juicer, but there is no filter to scrub, which can often be the trickiest job. NutriBullet recommends flushing water through the system before disassembling to keep things clean.

Why you should buy it: Capable, compact, lightweight.

Why we love it:
The H-AA is versatile, lightweight, and lovely to look at. It's available in three colors and can be used to make ice cream or tofu. It's also capable of working with nuts and seeds, so you can even make nut milk in this slow juicer. Our product tester Camryn Rabideau noted that it operates quietly too, even when working with firm ingredients.

'It’s more sleek and versatile than the Hurom HP Slow Juicer, and overall, it does a great job extracting the maximum amount of juice from all types of ingredients. It can be used to make frozen treats and smoothies, and it’s compact enough to keep on your kitchen counter when it’s not in use,' reports Camryn.

The 43 RPM auger speed is so slow it will mimic hand squeezing, meaning no drop of juice will be left behind and all those healthy fibers will end up in your drink.

Good to know:
'I did notice that the ejection chute can clog up quite easily, so be on standby to clean it out as you juice.  With a model like the Kuvings EVO820, you’re able to simply toss whole pieces of fruit into the extra-large chute, and it will chew them up with ease,' concludes Camryn.

8. Ninja JC101 Cold Press Pro

Best juicer for budget buyers

+

Easy to use

+

Dishwasher-safe parts

Reasons to avoid

-

Damp pulp

-

Lots of prep needed

Why you should buy it: Low price point, a decent cold press juicer.

Why we love it:
I found that juice extraction from the Ninja JC101 Cold Press Pro was very good, although a fair amount of pulp makes it through in the process. This is a juicer better suited to softer fruits, so if you routinely use harder fruits and vegetables, you should look elsewhere on this list.

It has three color-coded filters for differing levels of pulp and works very slowly to extract as much juice as it can. However, I must note, the pulp still came out a little damp. if you are on a tighter budget looking for a small but powerful juicer, the Ninja JC101 Cold Press Pro is a great option.

Good to know:
In my testing process, I found that I needed to cut fruits and veggies into two-inch pieces before juicing, otherwise they became stuck in the somewhat narrow tube. There’s a single on/off button that turns on the motor, after which I could press the fruit through the juicer, with the pulp separated into a dedicated container.

It was a touch fiddly to disassemble, the juicer’s plastic parts can be put in the dishwasher, but the remainder must be hand-washed.

Reasons to avoid

-

-

Could be too big for individuals

Why you should buy it: Its 70oz jug makes it a great family-sized buy.

Why we love it:
Our tester Camryn found that the Juice Fountain can get through fruit quickly, thanks to its 3. 5in feeding chute, which means most fruits can be dropped in without cutting. There are two-speed settings on the side, with 'High' for harder fruits and vegetables (carrots, mango, and so on) and 'Low' for softer fruits.

'With the pulp container at the rear, this juicer isn’t too wide, but it’s long and still takes up a lot of counter or cabinet space,' reports Camryn. 'The "Cold" in its name refers to the design of the blade, which increases the fruit temperature by no more than 2ºF. I found that juice quality is generally very good, although a touch on the frothy side and not as clean as from a masticating juicer.'

Good to know:
Although the majority of parts are dishwasher safe, there are quite a few components to disassemble. 'Still, with the large capacity, I found I didn't have to make juice that often. So if you are into batch processing or have a larger family, I think the Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus is a great choice.'

Only works with citrus fruit

Why you should buy it: Ideal for citrus juicing; looks fabulous.

Why we love it:
If you’re primarily after a juicer to deal with oranges or other citrus fruit, the Smeg Citrus Juicer is an elegant and well-priced solution. Available in black, red, and a range of pastel colors, the juicer has Smeg’s well-known 50s styling, making it a style icon that you’d proudly have on display.

As well as looking great, I found that it feels tough and robust and doesn’t take up much counter space.

There’s very little juice storage onboard, with the machine designed to be operated with the spout pointing down directly into a cup. It is super-easy to operate this machine: I could just cut my fruit in half and press each part onto the reamer, and the 80W motor kicks into action. There’s plenty of torque to extract juice, although it’s more of a slow-and-steady approach, so making multiple drinks does take some time.

Once finished, I found the reamer, cover, filter and juice collector all easy to remove and wash in the dishwasher, making this a quick juicer to clean up.

Good to know:
Simple to operate, the Smeg Citrus Juicer is a great choice if you want simple, fresh orange juice every day, but its versatility is limited to citrus ingredients.

How we review and test the best juicers

The Hurom H-AA Slow Juicer on test

The two main things we assessed when testing these juicers were capacity and the ingredients that can be used. Capacity shows you how much juice you can make in one go, with larger capacity machines ideal for large homes or for creating batches of juice and storing the results in the fridge.

We know that how we test the products we recommend is important, which is why we researched the models on offer to make sure that we covered a variety of brands and price levels, and we also took care to include a variety of slow and centrifugal juicers, as well as citrus juicers.

Through our testing process, we examind how well each juicer handled soft and firm ingredients, monitoring the level of foam, noise, and checking how damp the pulp was to see how effective the juicer was at removing all of the available juice. Some juicers claim to be able to make nut milk and even ice cream, so when we tested one of these models we were sure to assess all of the claims made by each brand.  It's also important to consider factors like how easy is it to clean a juicer, so oftentimes you will find us mentioning clean-up.

Juicer FAQs

What's the difference between slow juicer and a fast juicer?

There are two main types of general-purpose juicers: masticating and centrifugal. Both work in different ways and have their own benefits.

Centrifugal juicers
Centrifugal juicers use a fast-spinning blade to chop up fruit and vegetables, using fine mesh filters to separate the juice from the pulp. The main benefit of this type of machine is that you can throw in whole fruits, giving you quick results with little preparation. These tend to be cheaper

Look for a machine that has multiple speed controls, so that you can adjust how fast the blades move to suit different types of produce: slow for soft fruits and faster for hard.

The downside is that these juicers aren’t as efficient, so some juice gets passed out with the pulp. With the air and heat that’s introduced, juice can be frothy and may not last as long when stored.

These types of juices also aren’t as good when it comes to some ingredients, such as leafy greens and herbs.

Masticating juicers
Masticating juicers use a crushing, squeezing element to extract juice. Although also known as slow juicers, these products aren’t that much slower than their centrifugal counterparts. However, they are typically more expensive.

Preparation is generally more involved with these models, and you’ll have to cut up fruit first and, usually, remove hard seeds, adding preparation time into the mix.

Though, masticating juicers are much more efficient, so you’ll get more juice from each fruit, and with less air and heat added, the juice tastes fresher and should last for longer.

Herbs and leafy greens are easily dealt with, but harder fruits and vegetables should be cut carefully into smaller junks to prevent blockages. These machines are generally harder to take apart and clean, with few having dishwasher-safe components.

Citrus Juicers
For those who may only care about fresh orange juice, then a citrus juicer can be a good choice. Cheaper and easier to use, these use a motor to spin a reamer that removes the juice from inside the orange (or other citrus fruit).

You can’t use other fruits in these juicers, making them more limited, but if you don’t mind, these products are cheaper and easier to maintain than the other types of juicer.

Juicer or blender?

Comparing juicers vs blenders? Know that blenders mash everything together, while juicers are designed to separate the pulp from the juice, giving a smoother, more drink-like result.

What is the best juicer?

We think the best juicer you can buy is the Kuvings EVO820, for its unique flip-gate chute that drops ingredients into the chute, eliminating the need for a safety fin or a pusher. The feed chute is also wider and you can use it to make smoothies.

If you're after a more cost-effective centrifugal design, the Nutribullet Juicer Pro impressed us with its wide chute and juicy quality for the money.  We also like that it comes with a range of accessories including to-go cups and freezer trays. However, the pulp tray does fill fairly quickly and it is on the noisy side.

How much does a juicer cost?

How much you spend, depends on your needs and how much you’ll use a juicer. For occasional use, or for a single person, you can get a perfectly serviceable juicer for around $100.

If you want the best-quality juice, need to make more, or want to expand the range of ingredients that you’re using, then the top juicers come in at more than $400.

More expensive juicers, particularly masticating ones, produce more juice than cheaper models. Factor this into the price when you pay: for those that buy a lot of fresh produce, a more expensive juicer helps you maximize your return.

Final thoughts

We've tested plenty of juicers over the years, and our tests have found that these are the best. Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned juicing expert, these are the very best products you can buy.

2nd place : Atvel PowerTwist J3

Ozone rating - 5.0 HLS. The elongated screw consists of seven sections, in each of which a phased processing of the product takes place: the device cuts, breaks, crushes, grinds, separates, grinds and only then squeezes it out. The result is a homogeneous juice with a minimum amount of foam and a completely dry cake.

Custom design model - DC motor and worm gear reducer provide consistently high torque, which is equivalent to 1500W of juicers with standard motor design. At the same time, Atvel PowerTwist J3 consumes only 150 W - it turns out that it works with an efficiency of 1500 W, but uses 10 times less electricity.

Thanks to the non-standard design, the noise level is also low – only 60 dB. It's kind of like a conversation between two people, so you can easily make juice in the morning and not wake anyone in the household.

The model not only squeezes juice to a dry cake, but also retains the maximum useful properties of the products - due to the small diameter of the chamber, the drink does not come into contact with air, therefore it does not oxidize.

Atvel PowerTwist J3 is easy and safe to use. It is easy to assemble and disassemble, all parts that come into contact with products can be conveniently washed under water, but just in case of complex contamination, there is a special brush included in the kit. Due to the light weight of 3 kg, the juicer is easy to get and clean, and thanks to its compact dimensions, the model does not take up much space. There is only one button on the case, which turns the juicer on and off, and also activates the reverse function - even a child can handle the controls. And due to the high and narrow neck, the risk of damaging the fingers is zero.

Additional attachments for chopping meat and vegetables are available. So you get a multifunctional device that takes up a minimum of space in the kitchen. In addition, it will be cheaper than buying three full-size devices.

Specifications:

  • Type: horizontal auger
  • Number of speeds: 1

    How to choose a juicer

Is it better to take an electric or manual juicer for the home?

Depends on how much juice you need. In order to squeeze a little orange juice for breakfast or lemon juice for cocktails, manual juice is enough. If your needs are higher, we still recommend choosing electric models, even if they are more expensive. Electric juicers are able to squeeze not only faster, but also better than manual counterparts.
