When Do Stores Open And Close
Everything You Need to Know About HomeDepot Hours
Are you wondering what time Home Depot stores open and close? When you plan some DIY projects, a trip to the largest home improvement retailer could be your first choice. But what are the HomeDepot hours?
You don’t want to take the journey to your nearest store, only to find that the doors are locked. Doing so would be especially disappointing if you are planning on renting a Home Depot moving truck. Timing with moving can be critical, so if you show up at the store expecting certain hours and they don’t come to pass, it’s probably going to create problems.
With moving, there are often deadlines, so don’t set yourself up for an unpleasant experience. Whether you are buying, selling, or moving, Home Depot can be a godsend but not when they’re closed.
People search all the time for what is Home Depot’s hours today, and with good reason – nobody wants to waste their time.
Let’s take a look at how you can find Home Depot’s opening hours quickly and easily so you avoid a wasted journey.
What Are Home Depot’s Business Hours?
Home Depot operates from a huge number of locations, and unfortunately, they don’t all open and close at the same time. Some stores open at 7 AM on weekdays, closing at 8 PM on Sundays.
Holidays, like Christmas, Thanksgiving, or Memorial Day, can be different as well. You might want to call your local store if you are planning to shop at a time that could be outside of normal Home Depot business hours.
Calling ahead will be smart, so you are surprised by an opening and closing schedule you weren’t expecting.
General Home Depot Hours
The majority of Home Depot locations open at 6 in the morning, closing at 10 in the evening. These are their opening and closing times for 6 out of 7 days. The Home Depot hours on Sunday are reduced. They open at 8 AM, closing at 9 PM on Sunday.
While these are the typical opening times, you could get caught out if your local store opens for fewer hours. Some store locations do open later and close earlier, so if you need to take advantage of their longer opening hours, you should check first before planning a visit.

Home Depot’s biggest competitor, of course, is Lowe’s, so it will be a great idea to have their store hours as well.

Built from all the right materials
When The Home Depot was founded in 1978, Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank had no idea how revolutionary this new “hardware store” would be for home improvement and the retail industry.
Today, we’re proud to be the world’s largest home improvement retailer. In more than 2,200 stores across North America, we aspire to excel in service – to our customers, associates, communities and shareholders. That’s what leadership means to us. That’s The Home Depot difference.
NORTH AMERICAN PRESENCE
Our founders’ vision of one-stop shopping for the do-it-yourselfer came to fruition when they opened the first two Home Depot stores on June 22, 1979, in Atlanta, Georgia. The first stores, at around 60,000 square feet each, were cavernous warehouses that dwarfed the competition and stocked 25,000 products, much more than the average hardware store at that time.
Today, The Home Depot is the world’s largest home improvement retailer with nearly 400,000 orange-blooded associates and more than 2,200 stores in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The typical store today averages 105,000 square feet of indoor retail space, interconnected with an e-commerce business that offers more than one million products for the DIY customer, professional contractors, and the industry’s largest installation business for the Do-It-For-Me customer.

"Home warehouse" has reduced its area by half
Read in
Building materials store "Domashniy sklad", located on the street. Smirnov in Ivanovo, reduced its retail space by half. The financial position of the company was affected by increased competition, the pandemic and the intractability of the landlord, Dmitry Osipov, CEO of the Domashny Sklad group of companies, told Zvezda.ru.
Home Warehouse rented 3,000 sq. m in the building since the early 2000s. A from 29In July, he was forced to vacate the second floor of the building and transfer the entire assortment to the first floor on the area remaining in the lease.
"Our situation was partly affected by the emergence of large chains in Ivanovo," explains Dmitry Osipov. The group of household goods had to be reduced, because we are more of a hardware store than a hardware store. Therefore, we shrank, made everything more compact and everything fit. "
In December 2019, Leroy Merlin, one of the largest European DIY retailers, opened a store in Deryabikhe. Since the second half of March, consumer activity has fallen sharply due to the introduction of the self-isolation regime.
The store was closed for the entire period of quarantine restrictions, explains Dmitry Osipov. According to him, the owner of the building made small concessions on rent, but after the store reopened, she wanted to increase the rent above the previously existing tariffs. "We had an additional agreement on the second floor and we agreed that we would vacate the premises by August 1. We took out all the goods, we did not have time to disassemble the racks and equipment. Now we have completely vacated the premises, but we still cannot get the signing of the acceptance certificate object. And now they found out that they want to calculate the rent for this period. Now the procedure for renewing the contract for the first floor is underway, but the contract does not contain the numbers that were originally discussed, "says Osipov.
The previous contract was concluded for 11 months and, provided there are no objections from the parties, it is considered extended for the same period and on the same conditions, the company's lawyer assures. One of the parties is obliged to notify of the change in conditions two months in advance.
"I'm currently looking for tenants on the second floor, with an area of one and a half thousand square meters," Olga Sharonova, the owner of the building, told Zona.ru. "There is a lot of competition, but they are not giving up yet, now they have begun the procedure for renewing the contract for one floor. We don't know yet who will move in to the second floor: we are negotiating with various potential tenants. We want to rent the entire area to one hand, while maintaining the commercial profile." But there are no such clients yet. Sewing companies and small shops are interested in the building. There is a proposal from a dairy production and a furniture warehouse, a grocery chain, but so far a final decision has not been made.
For more than 10 years, the regional network Domashniy Sklad has been one of the largest companies in the Ivanovo region selling building and finishing materials. There were two stores in Ivanovo: in the "Silver City" and on the street. Smirnov (both with an area of 3000 sq. m) and a separate seasonal pavilion "Garden-garden". The main part of the assortment of the store in the "Silver City" was household goods, because the building materials warehouse was located on the street. Smirnova. And with the advent of the Glavmaga shopping center, the burden of serious rent payments was aggravated by the loss of a part of the buyers: in the hypermarket, an extensive economic unit closed the need for customers in essential goods. Therefore, the company's management decided to close in 2019of his store in the "Silver City".
At the end of January, visitors noticed a significant emptying of Glavmag's sales racks. Then Alexei Fedyashin, General Director of Glavmag, explained to Know.ru that stores in Ivanovo and Shuya are changing the zoning of trading floors and the principles of displaying goods. However, at the end of July, it became known that instead of the Glavmag hypermarket, the Crossroads supermarket would open in the Silver City shopping center (presumably from December 1).
