Ah, the primary bathroom. Your throne room. The place you go in the morning to prepare for the day and often the last place you go in the evening before slinking off to slumber.

It can be argued that the primary bathroom is the most important room in your home as it’s the only one in which you can enter, close the door, and expect to be given full and complete solitude. If you value this serenity and the primary bathroom’s role as a sanctuary, then when updating your bathroom you should consider choosing a gray paint color option. Gray is a wonderfully reserved color.

Its neutralness between black and white gives it a solid and stable appearance that, when we surround ourselves with it, offers a sense of calmness and composure. But while gray can be described as being between black and white, gray paint creators very rarely compose a gray paint color by simply mixing black and white. This is a light, warm gray paint color that boasts a very fain green undertone that, despite being faint, still exudes a calm, picturesque quality. Revere Pewter is a great color choice for those who want a warmer color but don’t want an extraordinarily bright one. This paint has an LRV of 55 which means that it neither absorbs nor reflects a lot of light and so it is a preferred choice in primary bathrooms with at least one source of natural light.

For this reason, Dorian Gray is probably best used not for painting the entirety of a bathroom’s walls but instead using it either as an accent color or for use on cabinetry. Shoreline is a very cool blue that on the screen may look bluer, but it actually gives off a more opal appearance. This is a very cool looking and feeling gray.
