Unique facade decor according to individual projects
Facade decor DEK-ART is the beauty and strength of natural stone with a much lighter weight, ease and convenience of installation carried out at any time of the year, the ability to implement any architectural ideas. Our decor can rightfully be called the architectural material of the 21st century.
New technologies for the production of building materials have made it possible to produce decor that is not inferior in its characteristics to natural stone, and sometimes even surpasses it in some respects. Lightness, strength and durability are not its only advantages. The surface exactly imitating natural material and similar to it even in tactile sensations makes it possible to solve any problems. Modern architects and builders can only choose from a huge variety of classical styles and design options for facades and other parts of buildings.
Not a single facade can be imagined without various kinds of decorative elements that form the finishing touches of its external appearance. Details such as panels, brackets, consoles originate from quite necessary structural elements of the building, with the development of building technologies, transformed into decor. There are also purely decorative products - bas-reliefs, acroteria, panels, ornaments, rosettes. All of them are designed to emphasize the general idea of the building, its individuality and the skill of the architect. The creation and development of the design of such decor lasted for centuries and was characterized by the emergence of entire trends and schools dedicated to individual styles. That is why the company's designers are constantly studying the historical heritage in order to recreate traditional lines and create new decors that are unlike anything else.
Our decor belongs to the class of products that have the generally accepted definition of "agglomerated stone" or "archstone". The technological basis of the decor is polymer concrete. Over 85% of the mass of Dek-Art products are natural stone fillers - ground dolomite and marble. Thus, the material for decoration is based on agglomerated (restored) stone. The remaining 15% are reinforcing and binding materials, pigments, various modifiers and stabilizers. Dek-Art decor uses polyester resin as a binder, designed for the production of products that are used in the most severe climatic conditions. According to the results of certification tests, Dek-Art decor withstands at least 210 cycles of temperature drop from minus 50 to plus 50 ° C at 100% humidity. Products are made hollow inside, with a wall thickness of only 8-10 mm. At the same time, all products are dyed in bulk to a depth of 5 mm, which makes it possible not to carry out additional processing of mounted products on the facade.
Balustrade is a fence, which is a set of small columns (balusters), united from above by a common horizontal element - a handrail. Typically, a balustrade is installed to protect balconies, design portals for entrance groups, and protect window openings. Also, the balustrade is used as in decorating furniture: for example, the back of a chair. These products are both functional in nature - ensuring security, and decorative - to give the interior or exterior an architectural flavor. The Dek-Art material from which we produce balustrades perfectly solves both of these problems. On the one hand, Dek-art balustrades are very durable, but at the same time light and do not require special preparatory work both with the site and the installation staff. This is ensured by a unique technology that we have invented and are rightly proud of this fact.
Decorative column is used everywhere these days! Almost no serious architectural structure can do without this architectural element. Dek-Art columns are presented in a huge number and in a wide variety of sizes, proportions, architectural solutions. The unique properties of Dek-Art make columns remarkably light yet very strong. For example, the weight of columns AKL200-1 with a height of 2 meters is only 65 kg.
Facade Decoration has long been helping architects and building owners to give them a special personality, stylish appearance and status of the owner. Each part of the house can be emphasized and highlighted with the help of such details. There are many facade elements, and the correct selection and arrangement of them is a whole science. Choosing decorative details from our collections, the architect will always be able to match not only a specific style, but also create a look that matches the best examples of historical architecture. The bas-relief is one of the most visible and iconic decoration elements. It is a sculptural composition in which the image protrudes above the main plane. The height of the protrusion is no more than half of its volume, and in this way such decor differs from the high relief, in which the height is greater. Very often, they depict individual figures of people or animals, compositions from them, and even entire plot stories.
Cornices are a unique technological and simply beautiful product. Cornices are very popular, because. give the house a finished look and favorably place all the aesthetic accents. Cornices are used to emphasize the number of storeys of the house (interstorey cornices), and are also located under the roof of the roof (roofing cornices). For the design of the facade of the house, we offer a huge range of different profiles of cornices: different sizes, shapes, expressiveness, as well as colors to choose from our standard colors.
Small architectural forms are small decorative constructions and structures that decorate the open spaces of your site. We provide a range of related services, so you will enjoy working with us. It's simple, convenient and profitable! Our architects and designers will help you find an interesting solution and provide everything you need for a full implementation.
The tradition of window and door frames appeared in ancient times. And it was originally connected not so much from a decorative point of view, but from a constructive one. When erecting a wall of brick or stone and organizing an opening, it was necessary to overlay this opening with stone blocks in the form of the letter “P”, or simply close the opening with a jumper. As a result, against the background of the general masonry, the opening turned out to be distinguished by regular geometric shapes. Further, this design evolved into a casing. Those. Initially, the platband is not an overhead detail, but part of the wall structure. Depending on the style, the architraves received different profiles. In the case when just a jumper is involved in the formation of the window, it turns into a kind of cornice above the window, which is called "sandrik". In more developed classical compositions for framing windows and doors, there are frequent cases of joint use of the U-shaped design of the architraves and sandrik.
Pilaster is an architectural element, which is a ledge that repeats the contour and texture of the column. A pilaster is a facade section of a column. Pilasters adorn the facades of buildings, interiors. These products look majestic and spectacular in the modern incarnation of classical architecture. We can provide a number of ready-made most interesting options for pilasters - you will find them in our catalog. However, we are always open to your wishes. Production technology and accumulated experience can make all your ideas a reality - our architecture and design department is always at your service.
Rust (or rustic stone) is a corner architectural element that is designed to emphasize the corners of the building and create a clearer constructive image. It is a powerful stone with a face that mimics rough, uncut natural stone. This method of cladding began to be used in ancient Rome in order to give the buildings massiveness and solidity. The very term rusta, translated from Latin, sounds like an unhewn, rough, simple stone. Initially, rustication had an exclusively practical purpose and served to protect the corners of the building.
Assembly of products
The installation of Dek-Art products is qualitatively different from the installation of other types of decor, it has a number of advantages that increase manufacturability, reliability, speed and cost of work. Installation of decor can be carried out in the autumn-winter period.
Most products weigh up to 10 kg, so a team of just two installers can easily work on scaffolding, even with cornices with a profile height of up to 40 cm. Dek-Art products can be mounted on insulation.
Instead of using adhesive mixtures, we use hardware to fasten the decor. Products with a protrusion from the wall of no more than 15 cm can be mounted on the facade both by the hidden fastening method on aluminum or galvanized corners, and through the front surface using anchors. For large-sized products, angle brackets are used as the basis for mounting. As a rule, installation of products at urban facilities takes place on metal substructures, on a standard facade subsystem selected by the customer. All this allows you to get a reliable design that can withstand high loads.
How to protect the facade decor of a building, tips and tricks
06/21/2021
The facade of the house is what is noticed first of all. The design should be not only beautiful, but also functional - have heat-saving properties, be fireproof, waterproof, etc. In this article, we will consider what facades are and how to protect them from the harmful effects of the external environment.

Types of facade decor
Various elements are used to frame the facades. The most frequent among them:
- Base. Sometimes it acts as a tide. The main purpose is to give an interesting sight to the basement of the structure.
- Columns. Contrary to the misconception, they do not support heavy structures, but are used solely as decoration.
- Moldings. Emphasize this or that construction of the structure, provided that it does not stand out against the background of the wall.
- Architraves, pilasters. Suitable for finishing windows or main entrances to the building.
- Brackets. They are used as a support for structures protruding from the plane of the facade. Participate in the creation of a reliable structure.
- Sockets. Ornaments that look like a round flower.
- Balustrades. These are beautiful balcony railings.
- Rust and facade traction. Horizontal elements that divide the plane of the wall into parts and give it a more perfect look.
- Window sills. The lower part of the design of many window openings.
These elements show how different the exterior of a house can be. With their help, it is possible to give the exterior a unique look. At the same time, according to the recommendations of experts, you should not overload the walls with decor. A large workload will make them less attractive.

Materials and their choice
Various materials are used for the production of facade decoration. Products are made of polyurethane foam, expanded polystyrene, polystyrene foam, and other bases. Separately, let's talk about architectural concrete. It is often used for the production of facade products. This is due to the fact that cement is present in the composition of concrete, which increases its performance.
The choice of material depends on several factors, including the area of the house where the decorative items will be located. In general, the whole decor can be divided into two areas of application:
Entrance groups. These areas are often subject to mechanical impacts. You can accidentally touch them, you can lean on them. In view of this, they must be durable, not be afraid of direct contact with moisture, snow, etc.
Elements (and, consequently, their material) intended for this group must be:
- heavy to stay in place;
- with low water absorption, high density, low porosity;
- with minimal abrasion;
- with increased wear resistance.
Hanging elements on the facade. These include platbands, window, door assemblies, cornices, corners, etc. These products must be very light so as not to overload the house. They must also be elastic so as not to crack if the house is expanded. Another important criterion is high strength, hardness, which will help not to collapse when exposed to hail and wind.
How to protect facade decor?
Many people ask how to protect the facade decor from the adverse effects of the external environment, and this is quite justified. Despite the high strength, the elements that decorate the outside of the building have certain disadvantages. For example, concrete structures have a porous structure, which is why they are able to pass a small amount of moisture.
Water penetrating inside can freeze during frost and destroy the structure. To prevent this from happening, they came up with hydrophobization. This process is a surface treatment with a special composition, due to which it becomes resistant to moisture. At the same time, the pores remain open, which allows the structure to “breathe”.
Treatment with a water repellent has a number of advantages:
- increases the strength and frost resistance of the material;
- reduces the chance of dirt and dust settling;
- eliminates the risk of biocorrosion.
Once impregnated with the composition, the surface loses its ability to get wet.
In addition to special impregnation, the service life of facade elements can be increased by their correct installation and subsequent maintenance. The durability of products depends on the characteristics of the material used and the manufacturer. It is important that the concrete mixture is protected from foreign matter during production.
Under conditions of coating with special compositions and proper operation, facade products will last for years without losing their appearance and quality. You can order them from our company. Betkam has been successfully operating since 1998. During this time we have completed hundreds of orders. You can see some examples of our work in the Photo Gallery.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, you can. Facade paints on acrylic, silicone, and also water-based are used to cover the facade stucco. At the same time, they should not contain solvents and acetone. It is equally important that the surface itself be carefully prepared. The place of application of the paint must be dry and clean, pre-primed. It is recommended to apply paint in 2-3 layers, with a roller or brush. We add that it will take 14-28 days for the surface to dry completely.
Polyurethane decor resistant to changing weather. Despite this, its installation is recommended to be carried out in the warm season, at a temperature not lower than +5°C. This is due to the recommended application temperature of putty and adhesive.
The tide is needed to remove precipitation. It must be installed on the condition that the decorative element protrudes from the facade by more than 70 mm. Gutters above elements protruding more than 350 mm must have a separate supporting structure.
The cost of the elements depends on several parameters, including their weight. The heavier they are, the more expensive the project will cost. This is due to the need to calculate the maximum allowable weight on the facade.
Everything depends on the wishes of the customer. If he does not know how he wants to see the building, a project is being developed. Working with an architect allows you to get an accurate idea of the design. If homeowners know exactly what they want and what their home will look like with facade elements, a project may not be required.
Facade decor made of polyurethane and other materials is UV resistant. In addition, it is covered with a special protective layer. Such a coating prevents destruction, and also retains color.
